[GB - QB Aaron Rodgers likely to play in 2021](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has reportedly indicated to 'people close to him' that he intends to play this season, according to sources via NFL Media's Ian Rapoport. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This ties in with "The Last Dance" picture of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen that both Rodgers and Davante Adams posted to their Instagram feeds over the weekend. It now seems that Rodgers is back for one more season in Green Bay as they refuse to trade him despite receiving calls about the superstar quarterback. Adams cut off contract talks and has one year left on his contract now before hitting free agency in 2022. It seems like this could be "The Last Dance" for Rodgers and Adams in Green Bay this season. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CIN - Joe Burrow likely to chill until opener](=) Source: ESPN - Ben Baby Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow (knee) isn't likely to play until the start of the season as a precaution, according to team president Mike Brown. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That sounds about right. Burrow is not even a year from when he injured his knee as a rookie in 2020. The Bengals are wise to basically shut him down until the start of the regular season. He tore his MCL and ACL back in Week 11 of the 2020 season but says that his knee is 100 percent for training camp. Burrow will be out there working in camp, but he's going to be absent during the preseason games. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [IND - RB Marlon Mack good to go]( Source: The Athletic - Zak Keefer Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack (Achilles') is 100 percent entering training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mack tore his Achilles' last year in Week 1 and has been on the road to recovery ever since. He's a talented running back with a slashing style who will work as a reserve player behind starter Jonathan Taylor. If Taylor were to miss time, Mack would get a sizable role with Nyheim Hines staying as the primary receiving back. This makes Mack an interesting late-round handcuff for Fantasy GMs who have the bench space. [HOU - QB Deshaun Watson available]() Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson can be landed in a trade, but the asking price is at least three first-round draft picks. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Things are getting more interesting in Houston with Watson reporting to camp. The team has been listening to offers for some time. Watson was respectful when he reported to camp but reiterated he didn't want to be in Houston. His legal issues will have to be resolved before he plays for another team if and when he is traded. Earlier reports have indicated that Watson is not going to settle out of court, meaning his availability for 2021 - and perhaps even 2022 - is in question. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [MIA - Hunter Long inks rookie pact](=) Source: MiamiDolphins.com Miami Dolphins third-round pick TE Hunter Long (Boston College) signed his four-year rookie contract Monday, July 26. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Long is going to work his way onto the roster behind Mike Gesicki and Durham Smythe. During his time at Boston College, Long showed well as a blocker and was smooth as a receiver. He's a "Y" tight end who can do it all, and his 57 catches in 2020 led the FBS at the TE position. Long is not flashy, but he is a reliable receiver who can become a favorite target of his quarterback when called upon. Scoop him up in dynasty formats and wait for his opportunity. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [LAR - RB Darrell Henderson receives modest praise]() Source: The Athletic - Jourdan Rodrigue Los Angeles Rams RB Darrell Henderson is an 'every-down back,' according to comments made by head coach Sean McVay on Monday, July 26. Per McVay, it has never been an 'ability' question but 'how do we keep him available?' To that end, Henderson is not expected to play at all during the preseason. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Henderson has always had talent, he was just going to serve as the no.2 running back for the Rams before Cam Akers was lost for the season. Now, Henderson is the lead back and certainly has a fantasy relevant role - likely in the RB2 range. Henderson has struggled with injuries over two seasons, so the Rams need to manage things to keep him fresh. Xavier Jones and Jake Funk are late-round fliers for Fantasy GMs in deeper leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
