[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rams head coach Sean McVay said there are no "limitations" on how the team can use Akers. It sounds like Akers is going to get a heavy workload after the way he surged at the end of the 2020 season. Projecting Akers for 270-plus carries sounds about right, making him a borderline RB1 for Fantasy GMs. Akers has a current ADP of RB11 (2.02) in 12-team PPR leagues. Ingram will compete with RBs Phillip Lindsay and Rex Burkhead. Well, nobody wins when betting against Lindsay so it might be Ingram on the bubble. The lack of special teams ability from both is the reason why this is even a talking point. From a fantasy perspective, there's value in his role but it's more of a 'what the heck' flex on a weekly basis just hoping for a big play or two. Wilson and Grant may already have an early edge over Hurns. [SF - SF had interest in QB Matthew Stafford]( Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford was receiving trade interest from the San Francisco 49ers before he was acquired by the Rams, according to 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This was known a few months ago when the 49ers made the move up to no.3 overall so they could select QB Trey Lance in the 2021 NFL draft. They were sniffing around guys like Stafford and former Jets QB Sam Darnold before deciding going with Lance was their best plan. Stafford almost landed with the Broncos, but the Rams gave up a king's ransom to get him and Denver wouldn't match that. [DEN - Royce Freeman nearing the end in Denver?](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman will likely need a quality training camp to convince the team to keep four running backs for the first time since 2017 or force the team to part with Melvin Gordon or Mike Boone, according to ESPN.com's Jeff Legwold. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Freeman was supposed to be the main man for the Broncos when they selected him in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft. Instead, 2018 UDFA Phillip Lindsay outperformed him and won the starting job two years in a row. Last season, with Gordon added, Freeman barely saw the field.
