We've talked a lot about "Value" in drafting. It's the key to a great draft. Sometimes that means a player who may deliver third-round value that you can draft in the fifth. For this feature, we asked our Footballguys to do deeper and to identify players further down most draft lists who can still bring value. Here's what they said about the running backs that might fit that description. C. [Dynasty Trade Value Chart: July](=)

[] 1. [DAL - CeeDee Lamb has team MVP potential]() Source: NFL.com - Dan Hanzus Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb will have a strong second season in 2021 and emerge as the team's MVP, in the opinion of analyst Dan Hanzus of NFL.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lamb only showed us the tip of the iceberg during his rookie year, and much of that was spent without QB Dak Prescott. He finished his rookie season as the no.21 fantasy receiver in standard-scoring leagues. This year, with Prescott back and healthy, Lamb could finish as a top-15 fantasy wide receiver. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CIN - WR Auden Tate up to speed](=) Source: The Athletic - Jay Morrison Cincinnati Bengals WR Auden Tate (shoulder) has impressed offensive coordinator Brian Callahan during spring practices. 'He sometimes gets forgotten, but he has a really unique skill set that makes him one of the best out there in terms of contested catches,' Callahan said. 'And he's huge. As a fourth receiver, he's been good this spring.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tate has talent but when the team selected Ja'Marr Chase in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft it pushed him to no.4 on the depth chart. We appreciate his skill set in dynasty formats but it might take a second team where Tate can really spread his wings and get more snaps/targets. The Bengals are stacked at the wide receiver position with Chase, Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins above Tate in the pecking order. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [IND - More blocking for TE Jack Doyle]( Source: The Athletic - Zak Keefer Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle may have to be used 'more in the run game' this season because of the retirement of left tackle Anthony Castonzo, according to Zak Keefer of The Athletic. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Colts can use Doyle in a number of roles. He could work more as a blocker with Mo Alie-Cox and rookie Kylen Branson competing for more targets. Doyle is more of a TE3 for Fantasy GMs which means he'll go undrafted and be on the waiver wire in most leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [WAS - WR Terry McLaurin improving his game]( Source: The Athletic - Mark Bullock Washington Football Team WR Terry McLaurin said he worked with retired WR Doug {NAME} this offseason to improve his release against physical corners. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McLaurin has already shown great skill as a wide receiver over the last two seasons with subpar quarterback play. He's finished as a WR2 for Fantasy GMs over the last two seasons (no.24, no.20) but we think this year he gets to WR1 levels. McLaurin has potential to be a top-10 fantasy receiver in 2021 and is an every-week starter with upside to win your week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [IND - Kylen Granson makes an impression]() Source: 1075 The Fan - Kevin Bowen Indianapolis Colts TE Kylen Granson made a strong impression during spring practices, according to head coach Frank Reich. 'He's an explosive athlete,' Reich said. 'We knew he was a real smart guy and he's picking up the offense real fast.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Granson is built like a wide receiver and has the makings of a move tight end at the pro level. During his college career at SMU (transferred from Rice), Granson showed a nose for the end zone with 14 touchdowns over the last two seasons. He was moved all over the formation and brings versatility to the field. Granson is behind Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox on the depth chart but we like monitoring him in dynasty formats. [] 6. [LVR - WR Zay Jones feeling reinvigorated]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Myles Simmons Las Vegas Raiders WR Zay Jones said recently that head coach Jon Gruden has reinvigorated his passion for football. 'It's a lot of fun (being coached by Gruden),' Jones said in an interview for the team's in-house TV show. 'I've said this to many people I've talked to, Gruden has kind of reignited that fire and that love, for me, with football again. Football's something that early on in my career, felt like a job a little bit. But Gruden has brought that passion that's just like, 'I enjoy playing this game again. I enjoy being out here.'' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones can be invigorated but he's still buried on the team's depth chart. Incredibly productive in college, Jones has not produced at a high level in the NFL. He'll compete for the no.5 spot on the Raiders depth chart with Willie Snead. The guys ahead of him; Henry Ruggs, Bryan Edwards, Hunter Renfrow and John Brown should stay plenty busy in 2021. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [NYG - TE Kyle Rudolph expects to be ready]() Source: NFL.com - Nick Shook New York Giants Kyle Rudolph (foot) says he's feels fortunate that an examination by his new team revealed a previous undiagnosed foot injury that led to surgery in March, giving him ample time to recover for the 2021 season. 'As far as football goes, I was extremely fortunate that the Giants organization and everyone involved (caught it), and how they were able to handle my situation, that I won't miss any football,' Rudolph said. 'At this point it's about taking each day and taking that opportunity to not only get myself healthy but get myself better. It's one thing to get and be healthy, it's another to be ready to go and play in an NFL game. So I'm taking that day by day.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] After a decade with the Vikings, Rudolph comes over the Giants this year. Rudolph is a sound veteran with good blocking skill, strong hands and a nose for the end zone. He'll serve as a primary backup to Evan Engram, and Rudolph could get some starts here and there if (when?) Engram gets banged up. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [SF - WR Deebo Samuel working with rookie QB](=) Source: CSNBayArea.com - Matt Maiocco San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel has been working out with QB Trey Lance during the offseason. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Samuel has strength after the catch and is a bully with the ball...hence the nickname Deebo. Lance is a smart and athletic quarterback who is a perfect fit for the Shanahan system. He's got great targets around him, and Lance is going to push for the starting job in training camp. Working with Samuel during the offseason could help him beat out veteran Jimmy Garoppolo. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [CHI - WR Allen Robinson not talking contract]() Source: NFL.com - Grant Gordon Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson is not saying if there has been any progress in long-term contract talks with the Bears. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Deals get done at deadlines in the NFL. The two sides have until July 15 to reach a deal, and Robinson said he is willing to play on his one-year tender. We'll see if they can come to an agreement before that time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
