We've talked a lot about "Value" in drafting. It's the key to a great draft. Sometimes that means a player who may deliver third-round value that you can draft in the fifth. For this feature, we asked our Footballguys to do deeper and to identify players further down most draft lists who can still bring value. Here's what they said about the tight ends that might fit that description. C. [Top 300 List Updated For PPR]()

[] 1. [ARI - Big year for WR A.J. Green?]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Kyle Odegard Arizona Cardinals WR A.J. Green is expected to have a big year by QB Kyler Murray. Murray, who has worked out with Green this offseason, is impressed with him. 'I expect A.J. to have a big year,' Murray said. 'I know a lot of people are sleeping on him. I know a lot of things have been said about him maybe not being able to do it anymore. ... I'm glad he's on the team.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Let's pump the brakes on the "big year" talk for Green. Can he post better numbers than he did last year? Sure...but everyone can admit he's not the same player he used to be. Earlier this year, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim said Green has "a lot left in the tank." That's cool, and these type of stories make him an interesting late-round flier in fantasy drafts. His current ADP is WR70 (14.11) in 12-team PPR leagues. Orlando Ledbetter Atlanta Falcons first-round-pick TE Kyle Pitts (Florida) agreed to terms on a four-year contract that includes a team option for a fifth season on Tuesday, June 29. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pitts is one of the most exciting rookie skill position players in this draft class. With Julio Jones gone, the Falcons are going to have a revamped passing attack. Pitts is listed as a tight end but he's really a super sized wide receiver. Expect the Falcons to make him one of the featured targets in the offense this season. He should perform like a top-10 tight end this year, and if you want him you'll have to pay up to get him. Pitts has a current ADP of TE5 (5.04) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [ATL - Kyle Pitts financials](=) Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons first-round-pick TE Kyle Pitts (Florida) signed a four-year contract worth $32.9 million on Tuesday, June 29. [TB - WR Watson on the Bubble]( Source: Greg Auman - The Athletic Greg Auman, from The Athletic, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Justin Watson is "squarely on the bubble in a deep receiving room." [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watson was a fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers coming out of Pennsylvania in the 2018 NFL draft. He played mostly on special teams last year and has yet done little as a receiver. Watson has a nice size/speed combination but will need to perform well in training camp and the preseason to earn a spot in a deep receiving room behind Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Tyler Johnson and Scotty Miller. [] 5. [CFL - QB Paxton Lynch headed to Canada]( Source: NFL Network - James Palmer Free-agent QB Paxton Lynch (Steelers) signed an undisclosed contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League on Monday, June 28. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lynch, a first-round pick of the Broncos in the 2016 NFL draft, has bounced around the league as a bust. His work ethic was questioned but his arm strength and athleticism was not. He gets a fresh start in Canada but is unlikely to play in the NFL again. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NYJ - TE Tyler Kroft pushing to start?]() Source: New York Post - Brian Costello New York Jets TE Tyler Kroft was 'one of the bigger surprises of the spring' and could beat out Chris Herndon for the starting job if Herndon 'does not shake out of the funk he was in last year,' according to Brian Costello of the New York Post. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Herdon has talent but he's never played up to his potential. The Jets don't have time to wait and the best player will win the starting job. Kroft was the no.12 fantasy tight end when he was with the Bengals back in 2017, mainly powered by his nose for the end zone. With a rookie quarterback needing to lean on the tight end spot, and in this Mike LaFluer (Shanahan/Kubiak) offense that's going to happen, there might be some value here. Watch to see if Kroft wins the starting job in training camp then keep him on your waiver wire speed dial. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [BAL - Rashod Bateman lighting up practice](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman has wowed in practice this spring. Throughout the spring, Bateman backed up the scouting report about being an exceptional route-runner with how smoothly and succinctly he maneuvered all over the field. No one got open more consistently. Bateman has had some drops, which plagued him in college as well. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is one of the most consistent drumbeats from the offseason - Bateman is consistently impressing in camp. Expect this type of performance to continue into training camp as well. The Ravens have a run-heavy offense, so the system could limit his numbers. However, Bateman is a great route runner with the savvy of a veteran. From a fantasy perspective he's more of a deep flex play as a rookie, but in dynasty formats his ceiling is sky high as he continues to learn and grow in the NFL. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [PHI - RB Killins Working as Slot Receiver](=) Source: Bo Wulf - The Athletic Bo Wulf, from The Athletic, reports Philadelphia Eagles RB Adrian Killins "is a running back in name only and will likely spend his summer working as a slot receiver." [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Killins was undrafted out of UCF in 2020 and spent most of his rookie season on the Eagles practice squad. He's a smaller back, very compact and built like Bears RB Tarik Cohen. He's not as good as Cohen but is pushing for a spot on the Eagles 53-man roster this year. We'll monitor Killins but only in super deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks.
