[] 1. [CLE - QB Baker Mayfield feeling it]() Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield has a noticeable increase in his confidence level, according to offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt. 'In the last seven or eight games last year, he really played really well,' Van Pelt said. 'I think he now feels that. He understands what that looks like and how he has to operate within the system to be successful. Now that he realizes that, you see it more in practice.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mayfield led the Browns to a playoff victory in 2020 and he finished the regular season strong. That's why he's feeling such confidence going forward. The team has worked diligently to add the best talent on both sides of the ball and Cleveland should be in the playoff mix - perhaps even as AFC North champions - this season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NYJ - Zach Wilson mastering offense]( Source: NFL.com - Nick Shook New York Jets QB Zach Wilson has done a 'really good job' of directing the team's offense in offseason drills -- with periods of calling his own plays -- even though he's had the team's playbook for less than two months, according to offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur. 'It's been a learning curve for him,' LaFleur said. 'We've thrown a lot at him.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wilson has a ton of talent and the confidence to make plays no matter the situation. He's up against it with the Jets as he's being tossed in with huge expectations in front of fans who are starved for wins and a media that won't take it easy on him. However, the LaFleur system (from the Shanahan tree) is great for his skill set. The rookie has some good players to toss the rock to but should go through struggles this year as he learns the ropes in the NFL. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [SEA - Big year for TE Gerald Everett?]() Source: The Athletic - Michael-Shawn Dugar Seattle Seahawks TE Gerald Everett was mentioned by head coach Pete Carroll as a breakout candidate for 2021. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Everett, a second-round pick for the Rams back in 2017, has flashed ability during his time in the NFL. However, he was in a cramped offense with the Rams and his quarterback play could have been better. Enter 2021 and Russell Wilson. That is an exciting prospect for Everett if he finally plays (consistently) up to his potential. We like him as a streaming option if you wait at tight end, and he's got a current ADP of TE22 (14.04) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [NE - TE Hunter Henry shines in minicamp]() Source: Patriots.com - Mike Dussault New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry has been 'catching everything thrown his way' during minicamp, according to Mike Dussault of Patriots.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That sounds about right. Henry has been a little bit banged up during the offseason but if healthy he can produce. He's always had talent and that's why the Patriots nabbed him in free agency. They also grabbed Jonnu Smith in free agency this year, so we'll have to see how the pecking order between the two is established in training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [PHI - WR Travis Fulgham tabbed for big role?]() Source: NJ.com - Mike Kaye Philadelphia Eagles WR Travis Fulgham will likely be featured in three-receiver sets to begin training camp, according to Mike Kaye of NJ.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fulgham started out 2020 with some strong performances, including a 10-catch, 152 yard (and one touchdown) game against the Steelers in Week 5. Things went downhill for him a bit after that as the previous staff felt there were some work ethic questions. Fulgham has the talent and with a new staff and a fresh start he could end up emerging as a trusted target. From a fantasy perspective, Fulgham is a name to remember and keep on your waiver wire speed dial if he hits. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [MIN - Blake Proehl draws praise]( Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson Minnesota Vikings WR Blake Proehl was mentioned by head coach Mike Zimmer when he was asked about candidates for the No. 3 receiver role. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Blake Proehl is the son of former NFL wide receiver and coach Ricky Proehl. He's got all the skills you want in terms of concentration and hands. Proehl does a good job of going after catches and has a large catch radius basically due to effort. He's not a vertical threat, but put him in the slot and watch him work. We'll be watching him compete for the no.3 job behind Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen. [] 7. [MIN - TE Tyler Conklin expanding role]() Source: Vikings.com Minnesota Vikings TE Tyler Conklin has 'emerged as a guy that's moving upward' during minicamp, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. 'It's a bigger role for Tyler Conklin this season,' Zimmer said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Irv Smith is the lead tight end but Conklin outperformed him down the stretch last year. If Smith is banged up, Conklin could step in and shine. Even with Smith out there, the Vikings do use two and three-tight end sets more than most. He's a reserve player to keep on the waiver wire speed dial. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [CLE - Anthony Schwartz to return kicks]() Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich Cleveland Browns WR Anthony Schwartz will be developed into a kickoff returner, according to special teams coordinator Mike Priefer. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A third-round pick out of Auburn in the 2021 NFL draft, Schwartz has track speed and can flat out fly. He's a catch-and-run guy who can threaten a defense after the catch. Schwartz is not a refined route runner but that's something they'll work on now that he's in the pros. He's the type of player who could be a better pro player than he was a college player as he further develops. Dynasty GMs should be all over his game. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [PHI - Jack Stoll headed for roster spot?]() Source: NJ.com - Mike Kaye Philadelphia Eagles TE Jack Stoll has a 'pretty strong shot' of making the 53-man roster, according to Mike Kaye of NJ.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Eagles like Stoll, an undrafted rookie out of Nebraska, and that's why they gave him the largest contract of any of their UDFAs this year. He can make tough catches and displayed some straight-line speed for the Cornhuskers. Some compare him to Dawson Knox and some feel Stoll should be an H-back to make it in the NFL. Either way, Stoll is the type of player we love monitoring in super deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [PHI - Greg Ward positioned for steady role?]() Source: NJ.com - Mike Kaye Philadelphia Eagles WR Greg Ward Jr. will enter training camp as one top four receivers, according to Mike Kaye of NJ.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ward had 53 catches for 419 yards and six touchdowns last year. As the no.4 receiver in 2021 he's unlikely to match those numbers this season. Ward will work for a role behind rookie first-round pick DeVonta Smith, 2020 first-round pick Jalen Reagor and Travis Fulgham. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [BUF - WR Cole Beasley considering retirement]() Source: CBS Sports - Cody Benjamin Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley said Saturday, June 19, that he may consider retirement over his disagreement with the league's continuing COVID-19 protocols for unvaccinated players such as himself. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is something we'll be watching for you as the summer progresses. Beasley is currently in our WR 45-55 range.
