'When Zeke's healthy and Zeke's doing his thing, he's the best running back in the league,' Prescott said. 'It's just exciting to see him in the best shape of his life, or best shape he's been in the NFL. That's going to be special for us moving forward.' Is Elliott's plays declining, or were his lackluster numbers in 2020 due to Prescott's injury? Elliott is coming off a down year, but with Prescott out there opposing defenses will play them differently and that likely opens up more rushing lanes for the star running back. He's got a current ADP of RB7 (1.07) in 12-team PPR leagues. If he performs like he did before 2020, Elliott could finish the season as a top-5 fantasy running back. [NE - QB Cam Newton ready for minicamp]( Source: NFL Network - Michael Giardi New England Patriots QB Cam Newton (hand) will be a full participant at the mandatory minicamp this week despite his hand injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for Newton and the Patriots here. Newton has the most experience as a starter on the roster but the team selected Mac Jones in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft to be their quarterback of the future. He'll have to hold off Jones in training camp to secure the starting job. Newton should do that, but if he falters again this year the team could turn to Jones sometime during the regular season. [NYJ - Zach Wilson prepping to start](=) Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini New York Jets QB Zach Wilson took all the first-team reps during OTAs, and the Jets are in 'Get-Wilson-ready-to-start' mode, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Of course they are. Wilson was the no.2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, and the Jets cleared the way for him to start by trading away Sam Darnold. The rookie from BYU is an exciting prospect who can make something happen when the play breaks down. He's a threat to run the ball but he will try to make plays as a passer and can stay aggressive with what he does. The Jets could be down as they continue to work on their defense, which means "catch up" football - which means Wilson could be trying to go to the air quite a bit in 2021. [MIA - Jaylen Waddle to man the slot?]( Source: NFL.com - Grant Gordon Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle will likely play out of the slot with WR DeVante Parker and WR Will Fuller working as the starting outside receivers, according to Grant Gordon of NFL.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That sounds about right. Fuller and Parker can work the edges, and Waddle can do damage on underneath routes. Waddle is one of the most dynamic rookie receivers in this class. Waddle is a threat to score anytime he touches the ball because of his blazing speed. A speed slot can attack the seam and wreak havoc on an opposing defense. The Dolphins need QB Tua Tagovailoa to take the next step forward as a passer, and he's surrounded by incredible talent to do just that in 2021. [SF - Trey Sermon set up for success?]() Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Jennifer Lee Chan San Francisco 49ers RB Trey Sermon was given the lion's share of carries with the first team during organized team activities, and NBC Sports Bay Area's Jennifer Lee Chan believes he is 'ahead of the curve' as a result. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sermon is incredibly talented and working in the Shanahan offense could be great for him. The 49ers do utilize a RBBC, so that's a concern for Fantasy GMs as the timeshare at the position will impact Sermon's touches. [NYJ - WR Jamison Crowder agrees to new deal](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder renegotiated an undisclosed contract that will allow him to become a free agent after the 2021 season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Crowder skipped voluntary OTAs because of the contract disagreement, so the two sides had to work something out. He was due a non-guaranteed $10 million in 2021 and reports indicated the Jets wanted him to take at least a 50 percent pay reduction. Crowder remains as the primary slot target for the Jets, but rookie Elijah Moore is going to push for more playing time and has been showing well this offseason. Brown and Deebo Samuel in the 2019 NFL draft, Harry has played in just 20 games over two seasons hauling in 45 catches for 414 yards and four touchdowns during that time. A change of scenery might be best for him, but the trade rumors about Harry never came to fruition - likely because other teams weren't willing to give up much for him. [JAX - Trevor Lawrence to be limited at minicamp](=) Source: ESPN.com - Michael DiRocco Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (hamstring) will be limited during minicamp this week because of his hamstring problem, according to head coach Urban Meyer. Lawrence did not participate in 11-on-11 drills Monday, June 14, but participate in the other drills. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There's no need to push Lawrence at this point in the offseason and worsen the injury. So long as the hamstring is not aggravated, there's plenty of time for Lawrence to get healthy for the start of training camp. [NE - TE Jonnu Smith leaves early]( Source: NFL Network - Michael Giardi New England Patriots TE Jonnu Smith (hamstring) left practice early Monday, June 14, after suffering an apparent hamstring injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Patriots added both Smith and Hunter Henry in free agency this offseason - and both players have been banged up this offseason. Henry had a leg injury and had to leave practice last week, but the injury is not considered serious. Now, Smith leaves practice with a hamstring ailment. No word on the severity yet. Now, he's trying to earn a spot on the Eagles roster behind starter Jalen Hurts and veteran backup Joe Flacco. He's a camp arm right now and if he makes the 53-man roster it will be to hold a clipboard as a no.3 quarterback. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Patriots no.1 receiver in 2020, Meyers is putting in some good work during the offseason. The Patriots have a run-heavy offense with QB Cam Newton under center, and that limits the fantasy potential of Meyers. If/when rookie QB Mac Jones takes over as the starter, then perhaps the Patriots will bring more balance to the offense.
