[] 1. [JAX - Tim Tebow to Be Their Taysom Hill?]() Source: Diana Russini - ESPN Diana Rusinni, from ESPN, said on Friday "There are people in camp right now who strongly believe the reason why Urban Meyer brought [Tim Tebow](=) in is not to play tight end, but actually to use him in that utility role, that Taysom Hill role that we see Sean Payton use in New Orleans." [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tebow can play as a banger between the tackles, taking snaps as a Wildcat quarterback where he can run up the gut. If he gets this type of role near pay dirt, it will negatively impact the fantasy value of Jaguars RBs like James Robinson. With Tebow getting quarterback snaps, it would also take away some opportunities from rookie no.1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence. We'll see if there's a glimpse of this role for Tebow in preseason and training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [WAS - RB Gibson to Run More Routes](=) Source: John Keim - ESPN John Keim, from ESPN.com, reports the Washington Football Team plans to use running back Antonio Gibson more as a receiver. They're looking to be more explosive on offense, and having Gibson run more routes could help them do just that. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gibson was a running back/wide receiver in college at Memphis and he can do a lot more as a receiver than he did as a rookie. In 14 games as a rookie, Gibson had 44 targets, caught 36 passes for 247 yards. With a current ADP of RB12 (2.04), Gibson could break into the top 10 of fantasy running backs with more passing game usage. He's one of our favorite players to get at the first turn in snake drafts. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [JAX - No restrictions for Trevor Lawrence?]( Source: NFL.com - Nick Shook Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is 'not necessarily on a pitch count' during OTAs, according to head coach Urban Meyer. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lawrence had offseason shoulder surgery to his non-throwing shoulder. He's been throwing for some time now and doesn't need any restrictions. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [KC - QB Patrick Mahomes a full participant](=) Source: NFL.com - Nick Shook Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (toe) has been a full participant during workouts this week, according to head coach Andy Reid. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mahomes battled through the toe injury as the Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl. He was not himself in the big game but showed great toughness dealing with this painful injury. Reports came out about a month ago that Mahomes was ahead of schedule in his recovery from offseason surgery. There is no doubt he will be ready to go at the start of training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NYJ - WR Corey Davis injured]() Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo New York Jets WR Corey Davis (shoulder) suffered a mild shoulder strain in organized team activities Thursday, May 27. Dr. James Andrews is taking a look at the scans today, but team docs believe Davis will be OK with some rest. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It sounds like Davis gets some good news here. The Jets added Davis in free agency this year with the mind that he could be their top target in the passing game. This shoulder injury sounds minor, but expect the Jets to limit Davis until training camp hits. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [TEN - TE Firkser Busy at OTAs]( Source: Jim Wyatt - TennesseeTitans.com Jim Wyatt, from TennesseeTitans.com, believes the busiest pass catcher on Thursday was probably tight end Anthony Firkser. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With Jonnu Smith (Patriots) moving on in free agency, it opens up the door of opportunity for Firkser to do more. He's not a great blocker, and that may limit how many snaps he gets on the Titans run-heavy offense, but he's their top pass-catcher at the position. Firkser is more of a streaming option for Fantasy GMs in 2021, and his current ADP is TE26 (14.03) in 12-team PPR leagues. [] 7. [NFL - Le'Veon Bell in no rush to sign]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Michael David Smith Free-agent RB Le'Veon Bell (Chiefs) said he will sign with a team when he is ready and believes he will play very well in 2021. Bell said he did not succeed with the New York Jets because of the play calling. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With two teams last year (Jets/Chiefs) Bell didn't do much. He finished the 2020 season with 82 carries for 328 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 16 catches for 138 yards. Bell is not the same player he used to be but could give some team veteran depth. He might not get signed until we get closer or into training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [ATL - Big offer for WR Julio Jones?]( Source: ESPN Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones has been a part of several trade offers, including at least one offer of a future first-round pick, sources told Dianna Russini of ESPN. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's not surprising. Teams like the Colts, Raiders, Chargers and Ravens should be interested in the veteran superstar. We should see Jones dealt in the near future as the Falcons go over these deals. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [TEN - RB Evans Works with Receivers]() Source: Jim Wyatt - TennesseeTitans.com Jim Wyatt, from TennesseeTitans.com, reports second-year running back Darrynton Evans worked with the receivers this week at OTAs. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Evans has talent as a runner and receiver out of the backfield, and that's why the Titans picked him up in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft. He missed much of his rookie season due to injury and finished his first year as a pro with 14 carries for 54 yards, two catches for 27 yards and one touchdown in five games of action. Derrick Henry is the clear lead back, but Evans could get on the field more on passing downs. Evans is competing with veteran addition Brian Hill for that pass-catching role. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [NE - New coaches impress TE Hunter Henry](=) Source: NESN.com New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry praised his new head coach (Bill Belichick) and offensive coordinator (Josh McDaniels) during a recent interview at OTAs. 'On the outside looking in, obviously they're great coaches,' Henry said. 'And then when you get hands-on with them, they're phenomenal as well, even more than you think. They're two of the best minds football can offer, so just trying to pick as much as I can from them and continue to learn.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Patriots made a concentrated effort to upgrade their tight end room by adding both Henry and Jonnu Smith in free agency. Henry is a talented tight end, and if he stays healthy he can certainly have fantasy value. We'll see how the team wants to attack defenses this year with Henry and Smith. The presence of both will somewhat hold back what each does if it becomes a 50-50 split. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [WAS - Offense To Be More Aggressive Downfield](=) Source: John Keim - ESPN John Keim, from ESPN.com, reports it's "clear" the Washington Football Team "will be more aggressive looking for bigger plays down the field" in 2021. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick this was always going to be the case. Washington has Terry McLaurin as their top wide receiver, and Fitzpatrick should go to him with plenty of deep shots. With the addition of Curtis Samuel and rookie speedster Dyami Brown, you can see how on paper Washington's offense looks more explosive than it did a year ago. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [TEN - WR Julio Jones not headed to Tennessee?]( Source: ESPN Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones is a 'longshot' to be traded to the Tennessee Titans, a source told ESPN's Dianna Russini. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones could fit on a ton of teams, and the veteran superstar is looking to get out of Atlanta. The Titans lost Corey Davis in free agency but they still have A.J. Brown as their top target. They're a run-heavy offense, so the need for Jones isn't as prevalent as with other teams.
