[PHI - Jalen Hurts to draw first start in Week 14]( Source: ESPN - Chris Mortensen Philadelphia Eagles QB [Jalen Hurts](=) was named as the starting quarterback ahead of [Carson Wentz](=) for Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Here we go! The Eagles are deciding to give Hurts a chance as their starter for at least this weekend. Hurts is athletic and has a strong arm. He's also a smart player with great leadership qualities. His game does falter when he's under pressure and that will make him rush throws. We'll see how he does against a ferocious Saints defense in Week 14. Rushing quarterbacks like Hurts are usually top-10 fantasy quarterbacks, so consider him a QB2 with QB1 upside even in a tough matchup. [PIT - RB James Conner expected back in Week 14](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Pittsburgh Steelers RB [James Conner](=) 'plans to play' in Week 14 against the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Getting Conner back will be a boost for the Steelers offense. As a high-risk cancer survivor, we're happy that Conner is feeling better. [SEA - Positive news on TE Greg Olsen]( Source: 710 ESPN Seattle - Brent Stecker Seattle Seahawks TE [Greg Olsen](=) (foot) is recovering well after rupturing the plantar fascia in his left foot last month. '(Greg) is getting around terrifically. He's really coming back fast from his foot injury,' head coach Pete Carroll said Monday, Dec. 7. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There is a chance that Olsen could be back before the end of the season. A return in Week 15 or Week 16 is a possibility. Seattle's offense is not featuring a tight end right now and guys like Jacob Hollister or Will Dissly haven't been doing much since Olsen was shut down on Injured Reserve. Bouye is reportedly facing a six-game suspension for violating the league's policy for performance-enhancing drugs, according to 9News Mike Klis. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Broncos are already without their best CB Bryce Callahan due to a foot injury. Add in rookie Essang Bassey being out with a knee injury and you can see how the Broncos secondary will be really short-handed going forward. [LVR - RB Spencer Ware visiting Vegas]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Free-agent RB Spencer Ware (Chiefs) is visiting the Las Vegas Raiders Tuesday, Dec. 8. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Raiders are updating their emergency list here with starter Josh Jacobs banged up. Raiders coach Jon Gruden said he wouldn't expect Jacobs to play in Week 14 against the Colts. Devontae Booker and Jalen Richard split time in the backfield in Week 13 with Jacobs out and would continue to do so. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He had pins removed from his broken finger and now the Buccaneers are likely to ease him back into action. Godwin needs to practice fully on Friday, so keep an eye on his status. He's a WR2 for Fantasy GMs in the first week of the fantasy playoffs if he plays. [TB - WR Chris Godwin has pins removed]() Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Chris Godwin](=) (finger) had surgery Tuesday, Dec. 8, to have pins removed from his broken finger. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Buccaneers will now ease him back into the practice regimen. [MIN - Justin Jefferson in rarefied air](=) Source: ProFootballReference.com Minnesota Vikings WR [Justin Jefferson](=) is only the fifth player since the merger to surpass 1,000 yards receiving by his 12th NFL game, joining [Odell Beckham](=) Jr., Marques Colston, Anquan Boldin and Randy Moss. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jefferson is a tremendous fit in what the Vikings want to do with their passing attack. He can fly by defenders with speed and does a good job setting up routes before the catch. Jefferson continues as a favorite target of QB Kirk Cousins and Fantasy GMs can count on him as a WR1 during the fantasy playoffs. [MIA - WR Isaiah Ford heading back to Miami]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Free-agent WR [Isaiah Ford](=) (Patriots) is expected to join the practice squad of the Miami Dolphins soon, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ford was traded by the Dolphins to the Patriots in early November but he never played a snap for New England. [WAS - QB Taylor Heinicke lands with Washington]( Source: WashingtonFootball.com Updating a previous report, free-agent QB Taylor Heinicke (XFL) was added to the practice squad of the Washington Football Team on Tuesday, Dec. 8. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Heinicke is familiar with the system as he used to play under Ron Rivera back in Carolina. He's currently the no.3 or no.4 quarterback on the depth chart behind Alex Smith and Dwayne Haskins. Washington also has rookie QB Steven Montez on their practice squad.
