[IND - Jonathan Taylor a victim of game script in Week 9](#17) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey day-to-day?]( Source: Panthers.com - Myles Simmons Updating a previous report, Carolina Panthers RB [Christian McCaffrey](=) (shoulder) is being considered 'day-to-day' with a shoulder injury, according to head coach Matt Rhule, who added that he expected to have more information to share on McCaffrey's status on Wednesday, Nov. 11. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Panthers are going to be cautious with their superstar running back. He returned to the field on Sunday and looked outstanding but was banged up with this shoulder injury. Mike Davis should be picked up if someone dropped him in your league upon hearing McCaffrey would return. Some are pessimistic about McCaffrey's chances for Week 10 but we'll hopefully know more later this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [WAS - QB Kyle Allen's season over](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating previous reports, Washington Football Team QB [Kyle Allen](=) (ankle) will require surgery on his dislocated ankle, and his season is over. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Washington now turns to Alex Smith as their starter. He should continue feeding WR Terry McLaurin (and RB J.D. McKissic) and the team needs to keep featuring RB Antonio Gibson in the backfield. That means 2019 first-round pick Dwayne Haskins should be activated as Smith's primary backup. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DET - QB Matthew Stafford cleared](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Detroit Lions QB [Matthew Stafford](=) (head) cleared concussion protocol Sunday, Nov. 8. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He was sacked early in the fourth quarter and forced from the game. He should be out there practicing this week and on the field for the Lions provided there are no setbacks. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [ARI - RB Kenyan Drake remains day-to-day]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Kyle Odegard Arizona Cardinals RB [Kenyan Drake](=) (ankle) is still day-to-day, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll see what Drake can do during the week of practice. If he can't play, the team will continue to lean on Chase Edmonds as their starter. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [JAX - Jake Luton likely to draw another start]( Source: Jaguars.com - John Oehser Jacksonville Jaguars QB [Jake Luton](=) is expected to make his second career start in Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers, according to head coach Doug Marrone. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Luton looked good in his first NFL start on Sunday. He's more athletic than some would think and the rookie can attack downfield routes with his arm strength. We'll see if he can build on his first start and get this team on the winning track. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [CHI - RB David Montgomery in concussion protocol]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Chicago Bears RB [David Montgomery](=) (concussion) entered the concussion protocol Monday, Nov. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] If Montgomery can't play in Week 10, the Bears could turn to Ryan Nall as their lead back. We likely would see Lamar Miller activated from their practice squad too if Montgomery is out. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [CHI - Chicago brings Kyle Sloter aboard](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Free-agent QB Kyle Sloter was added to the practice squad of the Chicago Bears on Monday, Nov. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) banged up, the team needed more depth at the position. Nick Foles is still the starter (even though he's struggling) and we don't think Tyler Bray or Sloter ends up taking over. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [SF - San Fran keep duo on active roster](=) Source: Bay Area News Group - Cam Inman San Francisco 49ers S Johnathan Cyprien and WR [River Cracraft](=) were signed to the active roster Monday, Nov. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers are banged up (to say the least) at the wide receiver position. Cracraft is your classic slot receiver. He's quick on underneath routes and keeps his feet after contact. We'll see if he can get on the field come game day for the 49ers. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [CLE - RB Nick Chubb designated to return](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Cleveland Browns RB [Nick Chubb](=) (knee) was designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Nov. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll see what Chubb can do during practice this week. The Browns will use him as the featured back if healthy. That means he's a RB1 for Fantasy GMs upon his return and Kareem Hunt goes back to being a backup and flex option. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [SF - WR Kendrick Bourne back on COVID list](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport San Francisco 49ers WR [Kendrick Bourne](=) was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Nov. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bourne was just activated off the list a few days ago. Now, he's back on the list and who knows how long he'll be out. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [NE - TE Jordan Thomas headed to New England]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss Free-agent TE Jordan M. Thomas (Cardinals) was claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots on Monday, Nov. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Thomas is an interesting prospect, and we've always had an appreciation for him in crazy deep dynasty formats. He's a big-bodied converted wide receiver who could have some developmental upside. The Patriots don't have pass-catching tight ends they can rely on yet, so maybe Thomas can climb the depth chart. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [JAX - Laviska Shenault could play in Week 10](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Jacksonville Jaguars WR [Laviska Shenault](=) Jr. (hamstring) has 'a chance' to play in Week 10 versus the Green Bay Packers after he received good news on his hamstring following an MRI on Monday, Nov. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy GMs and Jaguars fans can breathe a sigh of relief here. Shenault is a very talented player but injuries held him back in college at the University of Colorado. Hopefully he can stay healthy and continue to develop his pro game with the Jaguars. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [LVR - Henry Ruggs not getting much attention](=) Source: The Associated Press - Josh Dubow Las Vegas Raiders WR [Henry Ruggs](=) III has been on the field for 76 pass plays over the last three games, but he has only been targeted 10 times and produced four catches for 43 yards, according to the AP's Josh Dubow. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ruggs is a deep threat who is not getting utilized enough in this offense. The team selected him as the first receiver off the board in the 2020 NFL draft. We'll see if there's more of an emphasis to get Ruggs involved going forward. Ruggs will be facing a banged-up Broncos secondary in Week 10. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [DEN - Albert Okwuegbunam's season likely over]() Source: Denver7 - Troy Renck Denver Broncos TE [Albert Okwuegbunam](=) (knee) likely suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Week 9 versus the Atlanta Falcons and is expected to miss the rest of the season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's a big loss for the Broncos offense as the rookie tight end was just getting going. Okwuegbunam was a huge and athletic target for his college quarterback Drew Lock and they showed great chemistry in limited action as pros this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [GB - Green Bay brings back two from COVID list]( Source: Packers.com Green Bay Packers LB Kamal Martin and RB [Jamaal Williams](=) were activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Nov. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams was on the list due to being a close contact to A.J. Dillon who tested positive for COVID-19. Aaron Jones is back in action, making Williams a high-value backup for the team. From a fantasy perspective, Williams has flex appeal in Week 10 against the Jaguars. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [IND - TE Jack Doyle unlikely to play in Week 10]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells Indianapolis Colts TE [Jack Doyle](=) (concussion) was placed in the league's concussion protocol Monday, Nov. 9, and is not expected to be able to play in Week 10 versus the Tennessee Titans. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That means we could see more from Trey Burton and Mo Alie-Cox. We could see Alie-Cox paying off like a low-end TE1 in this matchup against the Titans. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [IND - Jonathan Taylor a victim of game script in Week 9]( Source: The Indianapolis Star - Joel A. Erickson Indianapolis Colts RB [Jonathan Taylor](=) didn't receive much work after his fumble in Week 9 against the Baltimore Ravens due to a lack of volume for the running game as a whole, according to head coach Frank Reich. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The rookie has talent and can be fantasy relevant but his performances are inconsistent. Taylor needs to hang onto the rock if he wants to improve his production on a weekly basis.
