[] 1. [NO - WR Michael Thomas no sure thing for Week 9]( Source: The Times-Picayune - Luke Johnson New Orleans Saints WR [Michael Thomas](=) (ankle, hamstring) will be a game-day call for Week 9 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to head coach Sean Payton. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Thomas will face Carlton Davis if he does play, and Davis shut him down in Week 1 before Thomas suffered a high ankle sprain. You have to play Thomas if he's in the lineup, but this isn't a good DFS week for him. Thomas is expected to play by most, but check back on Sunday to be sure. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [TB - Coach: WR Chris Godwin should play]() Source: Sara Walsh - FOX Sports Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Chris Godwin](=) (finger) is expected to play Sunday, Nov. 8, against the New Orleans Saints, head coach Bruce Arians said Friday. Arians said Godwin will test his surgically repaired finger Friday and see how he feels Saturday, but anticipates all will be good for Sunday. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Godwin is a boom/bust WR3/Flex play this week with the possibility of getting eased back in and Antonio Brown playing a larger role and the alternate possibility of catching a score or two and more against a vulnerable Saints pass defense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NO - QB Drew Brees' Week 9 status in limbo?]( Source: 1 No Source New Orleans Saints QB [Drew Brees](=) (shoulder) will be a game-day call for Week 9 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to head coach Sean Payton. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brees is expected to play and it would be a surprise if he sat, although it would set up a compelling matchup between Jameis Winston and his old Bucs team. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey activation likely]() Source: The Athletic - Joseph Person Carolina Panthers RB [Christian McCaffrey](=) (ankle) likely will be activated off the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Nov. 6, or Saturday, Nov. 7, head coach Matt Rhule said Friday. 'He's practiced well,' Rhule said, adding he's not certain yet what McCaffrey's 'total role' would be Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCaffrey still has to be in lineups no matter his role, but it's possible that Mike Davis helps takes more of McCaffrey's load at least in the first week back if not the rest of the year. McCaffrey is still one of the 3-5 most valuable running backs in fantasy football whether Davis gets more work or not. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [IND - Johnathan Taylor likely will play](=) Source: Colts.com Indianapolis Colts RB [Jonathan Taylor](=) (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 6, and is not on the injury report for Week 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is a good sign for Taylor's health, but it also opens the door for interpreting the second half last week as a reordering of the backfield. It's hard to know if Taylor or Jordan Wilkins will get more carries against Baltimore. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [DET - WR Kenny Golladay remains out](=) Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett Detroit Lions WR [Kenny Golladay](=) (hip) was not spotted at practice Friday, Nov. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Golladay is highly unlikely to play and next week is questionable at best. The Lions haven't placed him on injured reserve, but we still don't have hard info on the nature of his injury and his return to play timeline. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [IND - WR T.Y. Hilton doubtful for Week 9](=) Source: NFL Network - Stacey Dales Indianapolis Colts WR [T.Y. Hilton](=) (groin) was not spotted at practice Friday, Nov. 6, and head coach Frank Reich said afterward that Hilton will be listed as doubtful for the team's Week 9 game against the Baltimore Ravens. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There's no clear winner among the Colts wide receivers with this news. Marcus Johnson is also questionable and Ashton Dulin is out, so it could be Michael Pittman, Zach Pascal, and Dezmon Patmon as the top three receivers. Nyheim Hines and Trey Burton could also play larger roles. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott expected to play]() Source: The Athletic - Jon Machota Dallas Cowboys RB [Ezekiel Elliott](=) (hamstring) is expected to play Sunday, Nov. 8, against the Pittsburgh Steelers, team owner Jerry Jones said Friday in a radio interview. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Elliott still has a very low ceiling despite the Ravens success against the Steelers on the ground last week. It's reasonable to play another back getting double digit touches over him this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DEN - RB Phillip Lindsay expected to play in Week 9]() Source: 1 No Source Denver Broncos RB [Phillip Lindsay](=) (toe) is expected to play in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lindsay's turf toe may have had a flare up this week so don't expect the Broncos to go away from the RBBC with Melvin Gordon even though Lindsay has looked like the better back this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [MIA - Miami's Week 9 injury report](=) Source: MiamiDolphins.com Miami Dolphins RB [Matt Breida](=) (hamstring) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Arizona Cardinals. CB Jamal Perry (foot) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. S Kavon Frazier (shoulder), CB Byron Jones (Achilles), RB [Patrick Laird](=) (ankle), DE Shaq Lawson (shoulder), S Bobby McCain (ankle), LB Elandon Roberts (elbow), S Eric Rowe (shoulder), TE [Adam Shaheen](=) (shoulder) and LB Kyle Van Noy (groin) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 6, and have been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It'll be Jordan Howard, Patrick Laird and Salvon Ahmed in the Dolphins backfield this week. Expect even more to fall on the shoulders of rookie Tua Tagovailoa and the passing game. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [IND - Michael Pittman back on field](=) Source: Colts.com Indianapolis Colts WR [Michael Pittman](=) Jr. (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 6, and is not on the injury report for Week 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pittman isn't a fantasy option but it will be a great challenge for the rookie to be effective against the Ravens corners. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [SEA - Seattle's Week 9 injury report]() Source: Seahawks.com Seattle Seahawks RB [Chris Carson](=) (foot), OG Mike Iupati (back), DE Benson Mayowa (ankle), CB Shaquill Griffin (concussion, hamstring), RB [Carlos Hyde](=) (hamstring) and FS Ugo Amadi (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Buffalo Bills. OT Duane Brown (knee, rest) did not practice Friday, Nov. 6, but was removed from the injury report. CB D.J. Reed (hamstring), RB [Travis Homer](=) (knee), CB Ryan Neal (hip) and WR [David Moore](=) (ankle, back) were limited in practice Friday, but no longer appear on the injury report. TE [Greg Olsen](=) (foot), CB Quinton Dunbar (knee, rest), S Jamal Adams (groin), RB [DeeJay Dallas](=) (arm, wrist), OG Jordan Simmons (finger) and OL Ethan Pocic (elbow) practiced in full Friday and were also taken off the injury report. WR [DK Metcalf](=) (rest), WR [Tyler Lockett](=) (rest) and DT Jarran Reed (rest) were not given a practice designation Friday but are expected to play as well. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Carson and Hyde being out means that Deejay Dallas should get another start, but the team may also call up Alex Collins from the practice squad, who is more experienced and has previously played for Pete Carroll in Seattle. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [TB - Tampa Bay's Week 9 injury report](=) Source: Buccaneers.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers OG Ali Marpet (concussion) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints. WR [Chris Godwin](=) (finger) was upgraded to a full practice Friday, Nov. 6, and is listed as questionable. LB Jason Pierre-Paul (knee) and DL Ndamukong Suh (non-injury) did not participate in practice Friday but have been removed from the injury report. CB Jamel Dean (illness), S Mike Z. Edwards (groin), WR [Scott Miller](=) (hip, groin) and S Antoine Winfield Jr. (shoulder) practiced in full Friday and also no longer appear on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Godwin is almost certain to play despite the questionable tag. We'll see how targets sort out between him, Mike Evans, and Antonio Brown. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [ARI - Week 9 injury report for Arizona]() Source: AZCardinals.com Arizona Cardinals RB [Kenyan Drake](=) (ankle) and CB Dre Kirkpatrick (thigh) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Miami Dolphins. DE Jordan Phillips (hamstring) was limited in practice for a second straight day Friday, Nov. 6, while LB Zeke Turner (toe) was limited in practice all week; both players are listed as questionable. WR [DeAndre Hopkins](=) (non-injury) and WR [Larry Fitzgerald](=) (non-injury), LB Jordan Hicks (ankle, wrist) and S Budda Baker (thumb) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Chase Edmonds will start and should be in lineups. DJ Foster, Eno Benjamin and Jonathan Ward will share the work behind in him the backfield. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [DAL - Dallas' injury report for Week 9](=) Source: DallasCowboys.com Dallas Cowboys P Chris X. Jones (abdomen) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. RB [Ezekiel Elliott](=) (hamstring) and DE Aldon Smith (knee) were limited all week and are listed as questionable. LB Joe Thomas (wrist) was added to the injury report Friday but practiced in full; he is also listed as questionable. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Elliott is expected to play, but his ceiling is very low against the Steelers with Cooper Rush or Garrett Gilbert at quarterback. [Back to Top](#top) ---------------------------------------------------------------
[] 16. [IND - Full practice for TE Trey Burton](=) Source: Colts.com Indianapolis Colts TE [Trey Burton](=) (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 6, and is not on the injury report for Week 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Burton could be a solid option this week if Mo Alie-Cox, who is listed as questionable, can't go this week vs. Baltimore. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [TEN - Tennessee's Week 9 injury report]( Source: TennesseeTitans.com Tennessee Titans WR [Adam Humphries](=) (concussion) and P Brett Kern (wrist) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Chicago Bears. LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) did not practice all week while CB Tye Smith (shoulder) did not practice Friday, Nov. 6; both players are listed as questionable. DT Jeffery Simmons (ankle) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday and no longer appears on the injury report. OT Dennis Kelly (knee), CB Kareem Orr (illness), S Dane Cruikshank (groin), OL Daniel Munyer (hand) and WR [A.J. Brown](=) (knee) practiced in full Friday and have also been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Humphries being out could help Jonnu Smith bounce back for fantasy teams that are frustrated with his lack of production lately. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [ATL - Atlanta's injury report for Week 9](=) Source: AtlantaFalcons.com Atlanta Falcons DE Dante Fowler (hamstring) and DE Takkarist McKinley (groin) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 against the Denver Broncos. CB Jordan Miller (oblique) did not practice for a second straight day Friday, Nov. 6, and has also been ruled out. WR [Calvin Ridley](=) (foot) did not practice all week but is listed as questionable. RB [Todd Gurley](=) (rest) and OG James Carpenter (rest) also did not practice Friday but are expected to play. WR [Russell Gage](=) Jr. (shoulder, knee), CB Kendall Sheffield (concussion) and TE [Jaeden Graham](=) (knee) practiced in full Friday and were taken off the injury report. OT Kaleb McGary (rest) and C Alex Mack (rest) were not given a practice designation Friday but are also expected to play. The Falcons did not practice Friday, so the report is an estimation. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Drew Lock catches a break here as the Falcons top two edge rushers will miss this one. Ridley will be a game time decision. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [HOU - Houston's injury report for Week 9](=) Source: Houston Texans PR Houston Texans LB Kyle Emanuel (concussion) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. TE [Jordan Akins](=) (ankle, concussion), WR [Randall Cobb](=) (illness), LB Peter Kalambayi (hamstring) and CB Bradley Roby (knee) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 6, and no longer appear on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Akins is a good sleeper at tight end and pickup if you're a George Kittle team that doesn't have a strong backup at tight end. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [LVR - Week 9 injury report for Las Vegas](=) Source: Raiders.com Las Vegas Raiders DT Maurice Hurst (ankle) and DE Arden Key (foot) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers. OT Kolton Miller (ankle) also did not practice all week but is listed as questionable. S Jeff Heath (hip), RB [Josh Jacobs](=) (knee, illness) and CB Trayvon Mullen (hamstring) were limited in practice Friday and are also listed as questionable. DT Johnathan Hankins (non-injury) did not practice all week but was taken off the injury report. OT Sam Young (knee) was limited in practice all week and also no longer appears on the injury report. S Johnathan Abram (illness), DT Maliek Collins (shoulder), WR [Bryan Edwards](=) (foot, ankle) and OG Gabe Jackson (back) practiced in full Friday and were removed from the injury report. C Rodney Hudson (non-injury) was not given a practice designation for a second straight day Friday but is also expected to play. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Miller is a game time decision, but we are pretty sure that the Chargers will be without Joey Bosa, so those two injuries have the potential to cancel each other out. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [BAL - Baltimore's injury report for Week 9]( Source: BaltimoreRavens.com Baltimore Ravens RB [Mark Ingram](=) (ankle) did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Week 9 versus the Indianapolis Colts. WR Chris Moore (thigh) did not practice for a second straight day Friday, Nov. 6, and is also listed as doubtful. CB Jimmy Smith (non-injury, back) also did not practice Friday and is listed as questionable. WR [Devin Duvernay](=) (thigh) was limited in practice after he was added to the injury report Friday and is also listed as questionable. DE Derek Wolfe (non-injury) did not practice Friday but has been removed from the injury report. DE Calais Campbell (non-injury) and DT Brandon Williams (non-injury) were not given practice designations Friday but are also expected to play. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] J.K. Dobbins is a strong RB2 with Ingram doubtful and Gus Edwards is a fine RB2 if you're thin for Week 9 at running back. The Colts run defense is good on paper, but so was the Steelers defense going into last week and the Ravens ran all over them. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [LAC - LA Chargers' injury report for Week 9]() Source: Chargers.com Los Angeles Chargers DE Joey Bosa (concussion) and RB [Troymaine Pope](=) (concussion) did not practice all week and are listed as doubtful for Week 9 versus the Las Vegas Raiders. CBs Casey Hayward (non-injury) and Brandon Facyson (illness) were added to the injury report and did not practice Friday, Nov. 6; both players are listed as questionable. OG Trai Turner (groin) and S Jahleel Addae (hamstring) were limited in practice Friday and are also listed as questionable. DE Isaac Rochell (neck) was upgraded to a full practice Friday and is also listed as questionable. S Nasir Adderley (thumb), OT Bryan Bulaga (back), RB [Justin Jackson](=) (knee), OT Storm Norton (knee), QB [Tyrod Taylor](=) (ribs) and QB [Justin Herbert](=) (shoulder) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bosa being out is a blow to the Chargers defense and will help Derek Carr have more time to throw downfield. Pope being out gives new life to Joshua Kelley and ups Justin Jackson's ceiling. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [DEN - WR Tim Patrick likely to play](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold Denver Broncos WR [Tim Patrick](=) (hamstring) is expected to play Sunday, Nov. 6, against the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Vic Fangio said Friday. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Patrick is a what the heck flex because of Drew Lock's penchant for throwing him 50/50 balls in the deep passing game and the matchup with Atlanta. His presence will lower the ceiling for all of the other Broncos targets, but create a higher ceiling for Lock. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 24. [NYG - RB Devonta Freeman out Week 9]() Source: Giants.com - Dan Salomone New York Giants RB [Devonta Freeman](=) (ankle) was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 6, but was ruled out for the team's Week 9 game Sunday against the Washington Football Team. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's another Wayne Gallman week. He has scored in each of the last two weeks and has a low ceiling RB2 outlook this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 25. [DET - Detroit's Week 9 injury report]( Source: DetroitLions.com Detroit Lions RB/WR Jamal Agnew (ribs), WR [Kenny Golladay](=) (hip) and DB Tracy Walker (foot) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Minnesota Vikings. OG Joe Dahl (back) did not practice for a second straight day Friday, Nov. 6, and is listed as questionable. LB Christian Jones (knee) and CB Darryl Roberts (hip, groin) were limited in practice all week and are also listed as questionable. OT Halapoulivaati Vaitai (foot) was upgraded to a full practice Friday and is listed as questionable as well. OT Taylor Decker (foot), TE [T.J. Hockenson](=) (toe), DT Danny Shelton (wrist) and CB Desmond Trufant (hamstring) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Walker is one of the best athletes and playmakers in the Lions defense and a mainstay in IDP lineups. His absence should help the Vikings passing game. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 26. [NYJ - Limited QB Sam Darnold practices]() Source: Around The NFL New York Jets QB [Sam Darnold](=) (shoulder) returned to practice Friday, Nov. 6, in a limited capacity. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Darnold will play Monday night, but his shoulder is not 100%. If he takes a bad hit he may be pulled, so he's only a desperation play, including in 2QB/Superflex leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 27. [NE - RB Sony Michel returns to practice]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots RB [Sony Michel](=) (calf) returned to practice on Thursday, Nov. 5, which means the team now has 21 days to either activate Michel from the Reserve/Injured list or shut him down for the rest of the season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Damien Harris' outlook is dimmed with this news, but he is still a strong RB2 play against the Jets this weekend. Michel was looking better before his injury and should contribute to the Patriots offense when he returns. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 28. [NYJ - WR Jamison Crowder limited Friday](=) Source: NewYorkJets.com - Ethan Greenberg New York Jets WR [Jamison Crowder](=) (groin) is practicing in a limited capacity Friday, Nov. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Crowder could return this week, but he's also a possible game time decision, which means you need to have Braxton Berrios or Jakobi Meyers as a hedge in case Crowder can't go Monday night. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 29. [MIN - Week 9 injury report for Minnesota](=) Source: Vikings.com Minnesota Vikings CBs Holton Hill (foot), CB Mark Fields (chest) and Cameron Dantzler (concussion) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Detroit Lions. CB Harrison Hand (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. WR Dan Chisena (hip), FB [C.J. Ham](=) (shoulder) and WR [Adam Thielen](=) (shoulder) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 6, and no longer appear on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Vikings are down starters in the defensive backfield again, and they weren't a strong group to begin with. Kirk Cousins pass attempt volume is too low to trust him, but this makes it easier to plug Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen into your lineup with confidence. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 30. [CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky avoids surgery]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Chicago Bears QB [Mitchell Trubisky](=) (shoulder) will not have surgery on his right shoulder, and he'll be week to week. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Nick Foles can stop looking over his shoulder for now, but Trubisky could still get back in the lineup before the end of the season if Foles doesn't improve.
