[MIA - Miami lands RB DeAndre Washington for late pick](#18) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [TB - WR Antonio Brown to be limited in Week 9?]() Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Antonio Brown](=) will have an offensive package worked into the game plan for him in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints, but head coach Bruce Arians suggested Brown's involvement could be as little as 10 plays. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Buccaneers are reportedly going to have a package of plays for Brown. His success within that package will determine his playing time in Week 9. Fantasy GMs should look at Brown as a WR4/deep flex play. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [GB - Pessimism on RB Aaron Jones](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Green Bay Packers RB [Aaron Jones](=)' (calf) status for Thursday, Nov. 5, is pessimistic, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's a short week for the Packers as they play on Thursday against the 49ers. A.J. Dillon and Jamaal Williams are on the COVID-19 list, so the Packers are short-handed this week. Tyler Ervin and Dexter Williams could end up splitting time at the running back position. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DAL - QB Andy Dalton lands on COVID list](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Dallas Cowboys QB [Andy Dalton](=) was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Nov. 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dalton suffered a concussion in Week 7 and had to miss the Week 8 game because of it. Now, the veteran quarterback will have to miss the game against the Steelers in Week 9 due to COVID-19. Reports indicate Cooper Rush and Garrett Gilbert will compete for the starting job in practice this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [DAL - QB Cooper Rush could get Week 9 start](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Dallas Cowboys QB Cooper Rush has yet to be activated from the practice squad, but the team is reportedly 'seriously contemplating' making him their starting quarterback in Week 9 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rush has to compete with Garrett Gilbert for the starting job. It's a terrible matchup against a tough Steelers defense, so don't expect much from the Cowboys offense no matter who gets the start. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DAL - Ben DiNucci will not start Week 9]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys QB [Ben DiNucci](=) will not get the start in place of an injured [Andy Dalton](=) in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Cowboys will instead have practice-squaders Garrett Gilbert and Cooper Rush compete for the job in practice this week. Fantasy GMs with guys like RB Ezekiel Elliott and WR Amari Cooper (and others) will once again be dropping expectations for their assets with the Cowboys quarterback situation being problematic. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [SF - WR Deebo Samuel ruled out for Week 9](=) Source: 49ers.com - Keiana Martin San Francisco 49ers WR [Deebo Samuel](=) (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers have a ton of injuries they're dealing with but Samuel's situation is not new. He may not return until after the team's Week 11 bye. Brandon Aiyuk and Kendrick Bourne will be the primary targets at the WR position against the Packers on Thursday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [MIA - RB Myles Gaskin likely to miss three games]( Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson Miami Dolphins RB [Myles Gaskin](=) (knee) was diagnosed with a sprained medial collateral ligament Tuesday, Nov. 3, and is expected to be sidelined for three weeks. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We could see the Dolphins put Gaskin on Injured Reserve while he's out. That means Jordan Howard, Matt Breida, Patrick Laird and newly acquired DeAndre Washington will compete for touches in the backfield. Howard or Breida offer deep flex appeal if they become the lead back, but nobody here is really an exciting option. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DEN - TE Jake Butt hits IR]() Source: DenverBroncos.com Correcting a previous report, Denver Broncos TE [Jake Butt](=) (hamstring) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Butt has been inactive for the Broncos for the last few weeks. Rookie Albert Okwuegbunam is emerging as a preferred target for QB Drew Lock on game day. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [TB - WR Antonio Brown reinstated]( Source: Buccaneers.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Antonio Brown](=) was activated from the Reserve/Suspended list Tuesday, Nov. 3. WR [Cyril Grayson](=) was released to make room for him on the roster. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said Brown will be "ready to go" for Week 9 against the Saints. In his debut, we should see the Bucs have a package for the veteran receiver. His success in that package will determine his playing time in his first contest with his new team. Fantasy GMs should look at Brown as a 'what the heck' flex with upside in his debut with Tampa Bay in Week 9. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [SF - RB Tevin Coleman will sit Week 9](=) Source: ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner San Francisco 49ers RB [Tevin Coleman](=) (knee) has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] At this time, Coleman has missed being put on Injured Reserve with this knee problem. JaMycal Hasty and Jerick McKinnon will be the top backs for the team as they play against the Packers on Thursday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [DEN - TE Jake Butt lands on COVID list](=) Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora Denver Broncos TE [Jake Butt](=) was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Nov. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [KC - RB DeAndre Washington sent to Miami](=) Source: MMQB - Albert Breer Kansas City Chiefs RB [DeAndre Washington](=) was traded along with a 2021 seventh-round draft pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2021 sixth-round draft pick. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Chiefs have a jam-packed backfield since picking up Le'Veon Bell. Washington was a player they could easily flip for a late-round pick. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [SF - WR Dante Pettis done in San Francisco](=) Source: The Athletic - Matt Barrows San Francisco 49ers WR [Dante Pettis](=) was waived Tuesday, Nov. 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pettis was a second-round pick for the 49ers in the 2018 NFL draft and he did flash a little bit early in his career. The team has been disappointed with his preparation and practice habits, so Pettis had barely played this season. He's still got speed and is a young receiver some team out there might take a chance on when he clears waivers. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [SEA - WR Phillip Dorsett undergoes foot surgery](=) Source: ESPN.com - Brady Henderson Seattle Seahawks WR Phillip Dorsett (foot) underwent surgery on his right foot Tuesday, Nov. 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dorsett has been on Injured Reserve since late September. There is some hope that he could return later in the year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [MIA - Miami gets seventh-rounder for WR Isaiah Ford]() Source: The Boston Globe - Jim McBride Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR [Isaiah Ford](=) was traded to the New England Patriots for a 2022 seventh-round draft pick Tuesday, Nov. 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Dolphins had other receivers to get involved going forward, and that's why Ford was expendable to a divisional foe. Malcolm Perry, Lynn Bowden Jr. and Antonio Callaway could get more work with Ford shipped to New England. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [NE - New England deals late pick for WR Isaiah Ford]() Source: The Boston Globe - Jim McBride Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR [Isaiah Ford](=) was traded to the New England Patriots for a 2022 seventh-round draft pick Tuesday, Nov. 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Patriots need a ton of help at the position, so the move for Ford makes some sense. Ford is a slot receiver and could provide deep flex value for Fantasy GMs if he works out with the Patriots. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [BAL - WR Marquise Brown, coach clear air after tweet]( Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra Baltimore Ravens WR [Marquise Brown](=) tweeted his frustration about being targeted just two times after the Week 8 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, prompting head coach John Harbaugh to text him. The wide receiver then took down the tweet. 'He did play the game like a soldier. He was fighting very hard out there,' Harbaugh said Monday, Nov. 2. 'I promise you we're trying to use all of our guys. He's probably a little frustrated.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Ravens run the ball early and often, leaving little for those in the passing game. Fantasy GMs can look to Brown as a boom-or-bust flex play on a weekly basis. Perhaps after clearing things up, Harbaugh makes an effort to get Brown more involved. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [MIA - Miami lands RB DeAndre Washington for late pick](=) Source: MMQB - Albert Breer Kansas City Chiefs RB [DeAndre Washington](=) was traded along with a 2021 seventh-round draft pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2021 sixth-round draft pick on Tuesday, Nov. 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Washington is a compact back with a low center of gravity who can contribute as a runner or receiver out of the backfield. The Dolphins will now be without Miles Gaskin for a few weeks as he recovers from a knee injury.
