[IND - Jonathan Taylor dealing with minor ankle issue](#11) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [SF - TE George Kittle likely to miss up to eight weeks]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter San Francisco 49ers TE [George Kittle](=) (foot) was diagnosed with a small fracture in his foot and is expected to be sidelined for eight weeks, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Terrible news for the 49ers offense who is already dealing with too many injuries. Kittle's return in 2020 is up in the air and he may just miss the rest of the season. The 49ers will be looking to Jordan Reed if and when he's healthy plus Ross Dwelley can fill in for Kittle. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [GB - AJ Dillon out for Week 9]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Green Bay Packers RB AJ Dillon (illness) is out for Week 9 Thursday, Nov. 4, after he tested positive for COVID-19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dillon will now have to go through COVID-19 protocols before returning to the practice field. Aaron Jones is dealing with a calf injury and should return as the starter soon. Jamaal Williams holds it down as the lead back if Jones has to miss time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [SF - QB Jimmy Garoppolo out indefinitely]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter San Francisco 49ers QB [Jimmy Garoppolo](=) (ankle) is expected to be sidelined a minimum of six weeks and possibly longer surgery is required, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Nick Mullens is going to be the starter for the 49ers while Garoppolo is out unless he gets benched again. The 49ers are facing a disastrous season with injury after injury setting them back. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey to return to full practice]() Source: The Athletic - Joe Person Carolina Panthers RB [Christian McCaffrey](=) (ankle) will 'definitely' practice this week, and 'the hope' is that he will be able to play in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to head coach Matt Rhule. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCaffrey was close to returning last week but the team played on Thursday night and it was decided that he would be down one more contest. We should see McCaffrey against the Chiefs and he's a RB1 for Fantasy GMs in his first week back and any week he's out there. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DET - WR Kenny Golladay likely to miss at least one game](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Detroit Lions WR [Kenny Golladay](=) (hip) is expected to be sidelined for Week 9 versus the Minnesota Vikings and will be considered week-to-week with the hip injury he sustained in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Golladay being declared out this early is not a great sign but time will tell if he can get back to practice in a week or so. Watch to see if the Lions deal anybody away at the trade deadline like Marvin Jones Jr. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [GB - RB Aaron Jones listed as limited]( Source: NFLCommunications.com Green Bay Packers RB [Aaron Jones](=) (calf) was limited during practice Monday, Nov. 2. The Packers did not hold a practice Monday, so this is an estimation. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones was close to playing in Week 7 but missed that game and then never seemed like playing in Week 8 was much of a possibility. We'll monitor his progress during the week of practice -- when the Packers do practice. Green Bay plays on Thursday night against the 49ers in Week 9. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [JAX - Jake Luton prepping to start Week 9]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Jacksonville Jaguars QB Jake Luton will be given 'starter reps' in practice this week in place of [Gardner Minshew](=), who is not expected to be available in Week 9 versus the Houston Texans due to a thumb injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Luton is a different quarterback (to say the least) from Minshew. The big-bodied rookie from Oregon State is efficient with the ball and has the arm to make every throw required in the NFL. Luton is a pocket passer who is rattled by pressure. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DET - WR Mohamed Sanu gets a look from Detroit]() Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson Free-agent WR [Mohamed Sanu](=) worked out for the Detroit Lions on Monday, Nov. 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Lions are going to be without Kenny Golladay (hip) for at least one game, so working out Sanu makes sense. They're likely just updating their emergency list but if Marvin Jones Jr is dealt away then perhaps signing Sanu is in the Lions future. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [CLE - TE Austin Hooper should be ready after bye]() Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich Cleveland Browns TE [Austin Hooper](=) (appendectomy) will 'definitely' be able to play in Week 10 versus the Houston Texans, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's good news for the Browns. Hooper is the lead tight end when he's healthy but they do have talented backups in David Njoku and rookie Harrison Bryant. We'll see if the Browns deal Njoku before the trade deadline on Tuesday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [DAL - QB Andy Dalton expected to start in Week 9]( Source: The Athletic - Jon Machota Dallas Cowboys QB [Andy Dalton](=) (concussion) is doing 'significantly better,' according to head coach Mike McCarthy, who added that Dalton is close to returning. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dalton is expected to start in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's a rough return against a defense like that, but Dalton's return should boost the Cowboys offense over what Ben DiNucci did. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [IND - Jonathan Taylor dealing with minor ankle issue]( Source: The Athletic - Zak Keefer Indianapolis Colts RB [Jonathan Taylor](=) (ankle) has 'a little bit of an ankle injury,' according to head coach Frank Reich, who told reporters he wasn't made aware of the issue until after the team's Week 8 game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Taylor is a big back who can be difficult to bring down when at full strength. The Colts can turn to Jordan Wilkins if need be as the lead back without Taylor. While the rookie is banged up, all Fantasy GMs should be looking at Wilkins on the waiver wire.
