Will the Jets eventually redeem their backers? [Week 7 Value Picks]()The Los Angeles Rams, seeking a bounceback win at home, highlight this week's NFL pick'em value picks against the 5-1 Chicago Bears, along with four other games. [JAX - RB Chris Thompson hits COVID list](=) Source: MMQB - Albert Breer Jacksonville Jaguars RB [Chris Thompson](=) was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, Oct. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Thompson is a change-of-pace back for the Jaguars and he hasn't done much this season. James Robinson continues as the lead back for Jacksonville. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [LAR - WR Robert Woods cleared](=) Source: TheRams.com Los Angeles Rams WR [Robert Woods](=) (groin) was a limited participant at practice Saturday, Oct. 24, but doesn't carry an injury designation into the Week 7 game against the Chicago Bears Monday, Oct. 26. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for Woods here after he did not participate in practice on Friday. He can be a big part of what the Rams do through the air but only has one 100-yard game and that was back in Week 1. Fantasy GMs can look at him as a WR2 with upside on a weekly basis. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [JAX - RB Devine Ozigbo activated]( Source: Jaguars.com Jacksonville Jaguars RB Devine Ozigbo (hamstring) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Oct. 24. S Doug Middleton and TE Eric Saubert were elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ozigbo is a hard-charging running back who can give the Jaguars good depth behind starter James Robinson. We'll continue keeping an eye on him in super deep fantasy leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [NO - New Orleans makes three moves]( Source: NewOrleansSaints.com New Orleans Saints WR Juwan Johnson and WR Austin Carr were activated to the active roster from the practice squad Saturday, Oct. 24, as COVID-19 replacements. OL Will Clapp was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Saints need all the help they can get at the position with Michael Thomas (hamstring) and Emmanuel Sanders (COVID-19 list) out of action. Tre'Quan Smith should be their no.1 wide receiver in Week 7. We'll see more targets for RB Alvin Kamara and TE Jared Cook this week too. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NYJ - Denzel Mims activated off IR]() Source: NFL Network - Andrew Siciliano New York Jets WR Denzel Mims on Saturday, Oct. 24, was activated off the Reserve/Injured list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mims is an exciting rookie wide receiver...one of the best in this historic class. We'd be more excited about his upside if he wasn't with the Jets but whatever. Mims has a great size/speed combination and fine 'my ball' mentality when the ball is in the air. When at full strength he could be quite the weapon for QB Sam Darnold...or whoever is playing quarterback for the Jets. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [TB - WR Antonio Brown deal details]( Source: NFL.com - Michael Baca Updating previous reports, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Antonio Brown](=) is receiving a one-year contract from the team which will pay him slightly above the league minimum, per source. Brown's deal also includes a variety of individual and team incentives. More precise financial details are still unavailable. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We're excited to see Brown out there with his new team. He's got a great relationship with QB Tom Brady and gives the Buccaneers yet another weapon in the passing game. Brown may be third in the pecking order behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin when both are full strength. However, both Evans and Godwin have fought with/through injuries this year which makes Brown great veteran insurance for the team. Fantasy GMs can at least expect Brown to be flex worthy when he's up to speed in the offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [SEA - WR DK Metcalf elite downfield]() Source: Pro Football Focus Seattle Seahawks WR [DK Metcalf](=) has 296 receiving yards on passes of 20-plus yards downfield -- a figure which eclipses the totals of 15 other entire teams so far this season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Metcalf is elite all over the field but he really stands out on deep routes. He was always a big/fast/physical wide receiver, but he was somewhat one dimensional coming out of college. Metcalf is showing more savvy this year as a route runner and has transformed into one of the most dangerous weapons in the entire league. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [SF - WR Dante Pettis could be traded]( Source: Sacramento Bee - Chris Biderman San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch has both made and received calls about WR [Dante Pettis](=) recently, although no deal appears imminent, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pettis fell out of favor with the staff some time ago. Any team in need of wide receiver help might consider him but the 49ers would not get much in return. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [PHI - WR DeSean Jackson out 6-8 weeks](=) Source: Around The NFL Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles WR [DeSean Jackson](=) (ankle) has been diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture in his ankle and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jackson has already missed time this year but was back in action for the game against the Cowboys. He suffered a high-ankle sprain and will now have to miss perhaps up to two months without setback. We could see Jackson later in the year but Fantasy GMs have likely moved on some time ago. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [SF - RB Tevin Coleman back in Week 8?](=) Source: 49ers.com - Keiana Martin San Francisco 49ers RB [Tevin Coleman](=) (knee) has an 'outside chance' of returning in Week 8, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan Saturday, Oct. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers backfield is going to be without Raheem Mostert (IR, ankle) for at least a few weeks. JaMycal Hasty and Jerick McKinnon are set to split backfield duties and Jeffrey Wilson is questionable with a calf injury. Getting Coleman back in Week 8 would just further complicate the 49ers RBBC. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [LAR - TE Tyler Higbee hopeful for Monday]() Source: The Athletic - Jourdan Rodrigue Los Angeles Rams TE [Tyler Higbee](=) (hand) is hopeful to play Monday, Oct. 26, according to head coach Sean McVay Saturday, Oct. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We might see him out there against the Bears on Monday night. Fantasy GMs have whiffed with Higbee this season as he's working in a TEBC with Gerald Everett. Higbee is a TE2 for Fantasy GMs and that's about it. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [SF - RB Raheem Mostert officially hits IR]( Source: 49ers.com Updating previous stories, San Francisco 49ers RB [Raheem Mostert](=) (ankle) was officially placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Oct. 24. S Johnathan Cyprien and S Jared Mayden were activated from the team's practice squad. WR Jauan Jennings (undisclosed) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We've all been waiting for this move to be made official since Mostert suffered a high-ankle sprain against the Rams last week. JaMycal Hasty and Jerick McKinnon are set to split backfield duties while Mostert misses time. Jeffery Wilson is questionable in Week 7 with a calf injury. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [LAR - RB Darrell Henderson practices in full](=) Source: TheRams.com Los Angeles Rams RB [Darrell Henderson](=) (thigh) practiced in full Saturday, Oct. 24, and doesn't carry an injury designation into the game Monday, Oct. 26, against the Chicago Bears. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Rams backfield is a mix of Henderson and Malcolm Brown with Henderson usually leading the way. The Bears have only allowed one 100-yard rusher this season (Ronald Jones) and are a tough draw. Consider Henderson a low-end RB2 or flex option in Week 7. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [NYJ - WR Jamison Crowder doubtful for Week 7](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New York Jets WR [Jamison Crowder](=) (groin) on Saturday, Oct. 24, was downgraded from questionable to doubtful for Week 7 with a groin injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Crowder was the only piece of the Jets passing game that Fantasy GMs were turning to. Without him on the field, the Bills defense makes an even more attractive fantasy play in Week 7. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [NYG - RB Saquon Barkley to undergo ACL surgery]( Source: NFL Network - Andrea Kremer New York Giants RB [Saquon Barkley](=) (knee) is scheduled to undergo reconstructive surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament next week and doctors are optimistic that he will be ready for training camp. Barkley needed to wait for his medial collateral ligament injury to heal before he was eligible to undergo ACL surgery. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It usually takes around 12 months for ACL injuries to fully heal after surgery. That means Barkley is likely to be limited in training camp next year and may not be quite himself until the midway point of the 2021 season. We'll be watching closely for any updates during the next offseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks.
