[NYG - Limited practice for WR Darius Slayton](#23) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [LAC - No concern for WR Keenan Allen]( Source: The Orange County Register - Gilbert Manzano Los Angeles Chargers WR [Keenan Allen](=) (back) was dealing with back spasms against the New Orleans Saints Monday, Oct, 12, and 'will be fine,' according to head coach Anthony Lynn. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Allen experienced the back spasms on Monday night against the Saints and might be somewhat limited in practice this week. The team says he will be fine, so we expect him to get a full practice in on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [MIN - RB Dalvin Cook sitting out]( Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson Minnesota Vikings RB [Dalvin Cook](=) (groin) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Reports indicate that Cook's groin injury is not as serious as it could be. However, we don't expect him to play in Week 6. That means Alexander Mattison is the lead back and worthy at least of a start as a RB2 with upside. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DEN - RB Melvin Gordon cited for DUI](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos RB [Melvin Gordon](=) was cited late Tuesday, Oct. 13, and charged with driving under the influence and ticketed for speeding between 25-39 mph over the limit by Denver Police Department, court and police documents show. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gordon was one of the most outspoken players on the Broncos roster about losing the bye week (the game against the Patriots was postponed the day before it was supposed to happen in Week 5). Well, the league may give him a few bye weeks due to this situation. Good thing the Broncos are getting Phillip Lindsay back this week. We'll see what discipline is coming down for Gordon from the Broncos or the league. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [DEN - RB Melvin Gordon's status uncertain](=) Source: NFL.com Denver Broncos RB [Melvin Gordon](=)'s status for the Week 6 game will be decided in the next few days, according to head coach Vic Fangio. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gordon was cited for a DUI and ticketed for speeding between 25-39 mph over the limit by Denver Police Department, court and police documents show late Tuesday night. Fangio says there will be some discipline for Gordon due to this incident. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NE - QB Cam Newton expected to practice Thursday]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates New England Patriots QB [Cam Newton](=) (illness) is expected to participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 15, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Newton should be back this week against the Broncos. Their defense has struggled this year, so Newton could pay off like a QB1 for Fantasy GMs in Week 6. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NYJ - QB Sam Darnold out again in Week 6](=) Source: New York Post - Brian Costello New York Jets QB [Sam Darnold](=) (shoulder) will miss the Week 6 game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That means the Jets will once again turn to Joe Flacco as their starter. It's not an exciting situation for Fantasy GMs out there. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [CIN - WR A.J. Green to miss practice Wednesday](=) Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson Cincinnati Bengals WR [A.J. Green](=) (hamstring) will not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14, but head coach Zac Taylor said the team hopes Green will be able to practice Thursday, Oct. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy GMs have already moved on from Green. He's simply not the same player he used to be and is banged up again. Feel free to release him for waiver wire help. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DEN - Limited practice for TE Noah Fant](=) Source: DenverBroncos.com Updating a previous story, Denver Broncos TE [Noah Fant](=) (ankle) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It was a bit of a surprise that Fant was out there. Fant was initially going to miss a week or two with that ankle injury. We'll see if he can be a full participant on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DEN - QB Drew Lock puts in full practice](=) Source: DenverBroncos.com Denver Broncos QB [Drew Lock](=) (shoulder) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lock should be the starter for the Broncos on Sunday against the Patriots. They'll blitz him because Lock struggles mightily when you bring extra pressure. The Broncos season is in shambles, so they need to do what they can to see if Lock can be their franchise quarterback. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [PIT - WR Diontae Johnson misses practice]( Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley Pittsburgh Steelers WR [Diontae Johnson](=) (back) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The word is that Johnson could practice later in the week. We'll see if Johnson can get out there on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [DEN - RB Phillip Lindsay practices in full](=) Source: DenverBroncos.com Denver Broncos RB [Phillip Lindsay](=) (foot) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Melvin Gordon's status is up in the air after being cited for a DUI on Tuesday night. Lindsay is back in action and should be their lead back. The Patriots have not allowed a 100-yard rusher this year so consider Lindsay more of a flex play in Week 6. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [PHI - Limited practice for WR Alshon Jeffery]() Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jeffery is close to a return to action. Check back on Friday to see what his status is. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [TB - WR Chris Godwin gets in limited practice]() Source: Packers.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Chris Godwin](=) (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Keep an eye on Godwin's status as the week goes on. If he can practice on Friday then perhaps he can get out there in Week 6. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [ATL - No practice for WR Julio Jones Wednesday]() Source: AtlantaFalcons.com Atlanta Falcons WR [Julio Jones](=) (hamstring) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] No surprise here. Let's see if Jones can practice on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [GB - WR Davante Adams returns to full practice]() Source: Packers.com Green Bay Packers WR [Davante Adams](=) (hamstring) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We haven't seen Adams in action since Week 2. This hamstring injury is getting better and Adams did not suffer any setbacks during the Packers bye week. Adams should be able to play against the Buccaneers on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [WAS - QB Dwayne Haskins ill]() Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo Washington Football Team QB [Dwayne Haskins](=) (illness) is out of practice Wednesday, Oct. 14, due to an illness. He has tested for COVID-19 repeatedly, and all tests were negative. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Haskins has not requested a trade per reports but there is speculation that the team could be shopping the 2019 first-round pick. They have Kyle Allen as their starter when healthy and veteran Alex Smith as a backup. Haskins may not be able to see the field again this year for Washington. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [NYJ - Denzel Mims on track to return]() Source: NewYorkJets.com New York Jets WR Denzel Mims (hamstring) has been designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We're seeing a bunch of rookie wide receivers show off this season. It was the greatest WR class in NFL history and Mims is a top-tier talent when healthy. He looked great on film with his size/speed combination and he looked as good if not better than Chase Claypool during the week of practice at the Senior Bowl. Mims could be really good...too bad it's under Adam Gase (for now). The team has 21 days to add Mims to the active roster. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [JAX - RB Devine Ozigbo may return soon]() Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson Jacksonville Jaguars RB Devine Ozigbo (hamstring) has been designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ozigbo is a player we have an appreciation for but only in super deep dynasty formats. If he is activated, Ozigbo is going to compete for a backup spot behind James Robinson. The team has 21 days to add Ozigbo to the 53-man roster. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [WAS - Antonio Gibson a limited participant]( Source: The Washington Post - Nicki Jhabvala Washington Football Team RB [Antonio Gibson](=) (toe) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Keep an eye on Gibson's status as the week of practice goes on. He makes a nice flex play in Week 6 against the Giants. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [WAS - QB Kyle Allen takes part in practice]( Source: The Washington Post - Nicki Jhabvala Washington Football Team QB [Kyle Allen](=) (arm) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Washington head coach Ron Rivera has said that Allen is the starter if healthy. He's fully participating in practice, so he should be out there as their starter in Week 6 against the Giants. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [CLE - WR Jarvis Landry to miss practice]() Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich Cleveland Browns WR [Jarvis Landry](=) (hip, ribs) will not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14, but head coach Kevin Stefanski said Landry should practice later in the week. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is pretty normal for Landry on a Wednesday. Watch for his status on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [NYJ - LaMical Perine to have bigger role]( Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini New York Jets RB La'Mical Perine likely will receive a bigger role in the offense moving forward after the release of RB Le'Veon Bell, according to head coach Adam Gase. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Perine is a good receiving option out of the backfield...and he can even line up in the slot if need be. We like him in dynasty formats but do not have a ton of excitement for Perine while Adam Gase is still running the Jets offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [NYG - Limited practice for WR Darius Slayton]() Source: ESPN.com - John Keim New York Giants WR [Darius Slayton](=) (foot) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Keep an eye on Slayton's practice status on Friday. If healthy, Slayton could pay off like a flex play with upside against Washington in Week 6.
