[GB - WR Davante Adams works on the side Thursday](#20) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [NYG - Committee backfield in NY?]( Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano New York Giants head coach Joe Judge was asked Thursday, Sept. 24, what his plan will be if one of his three running backs, [Dion Lewis](=), [Wayne Gallman](=) or Devonta Freeman, gets 'hot' in a game. 'He may be the guy for that moment. He may be the guy for that game,' Judge said, adding that the plan will to be use each of them, each week, depending on the game plan. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That sounds about right. This 'hot hand' approach with backup-level talent means Fantasy GMs should try to find other options if they can. If one back emerges, then we'll change our outlook but right now it looks like a cluster. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [BUF - Zack Moss remains sidelined]() Source: The Athletic - Joe Buscaglia Buffalo Bills RB [Zack Moss](=) (toe) on Thursday, Sept. 24, is sitting out his second straight practice, spending the early portion riding an exercise bike. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is not a good sign for the rookie's availability. That means the Bills could turn to starter Devin Singletary even more. The Bills have been using a 60/40 split between the two to this point in favor of Singletary. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NYJ - WR Jamison Crowder doubtful](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New York Jets WR [Jamison Crowder](=) (hamstring) is doubtful for Week 3, according to head coach Adam Gase. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] No surprise here. The Jets may also be without Breshad Perriman this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [NYG - RB Devonta Freeman breakdown]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Updating previous reports, New York Giants RB Devonta Freeman's one-year deal includes a $1.07 million base salary, which was prorated to $944,118 worth a maximum of $2.874 million (prorated from $3 million). He'll receive $280,000 in per-game roster bonuses and $1.15 million in rushing yard and touchdown incentives. He'll earn $250,000 for making the Pro Bowl or First-Team All-Pro. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Freeman gets an incentive-laden deal just like we all thought he would. He will work his way up the depth chart as the team currently has Dion Lewis and Wayne Gallman. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CIN - Slow start for WR A.J. Green]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper Cincinnati Bengals WR [A.J. Green](=) is trying to get in sync in his return to the field and is adapting to playing in head coach Zac Taylor's system after missing its debut a season ago. 'I'm still rusty,' Green admitted recently. 'I'm still learning the system.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Green doesn't look like his old self. The Bengals passing attack does look good, so it gives us hope that Green can start producing more. Consider Green a WR3/flex play in his current hopefully less-rusty state. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [LVR - RB Josh Jacobs not practicing](=) Source: ESPN.com - Paul Gutierrez Las Vegas Raiders RB [Josh Jacobs](=) (hip) was not spotted on the field during the start of the team's practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Raiders are being cautious with their bellcow back here. Jacobs is going to have to practice on Friday for us to feel good about starting him in Week 3. If he plays, his talent and workload make him a RB1 for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [NO - WR Michael Thomas not on field](=) Source: NewOrleansSaints.com New Orleans Saints WR [Michael Thomas](=) (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] No surprise here. It's not looking good for Thomas in Week 3. If he doesn't play against the Packers, RB Alvin Kamara will continue to be featured as a receiving threat and WR Tre'Quan Smith could get more looks too. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [IND - TE Jack Doyle returns Thursday](=) Source: CNHI Sports Indiana - George Bremer Indianapolis Colts TE [Jack Doyle](=) (ankle) practiced for the first time since hurting his ankle in Week 1 on Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Doyle is back in action but that doesn't mean he'll play in Week 3. Monitor his status on Friday. Doyle could return but the team found a weapon on Mo Alie-Cox, and they should keep feeding him the rock regardless of Doyle's availability. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [NYJ - WR Breshad Perriman still down]( Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini New York Jets WR [Breshad Perriman](=) (ankle) won't practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Perriman will likely miss Week 3. Fantasy GMs have better options if he plays anyway. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [TB - WR Chris Godwin fully practices](=) Source: Buccaneers.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Chris Godwin](=) (concussion) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Godwin will be back in action for the Buccaneers this week. Against a banged up Broncos secondary, QB Tom Brady and the passing attack could have a big day on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [ARI - WR Christian Kirk still sitting]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban Arizona Cardinals WR [Christian Kirk](=) (groin) remains out of practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Keep an eye on this injury situation...especially if you want Andy Isabella in your lineup as a 'what the heck' flex in Week 3. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [ATL - WR Julio Jones missing Thursday](=) Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure Atlanta Falcons WR [Julio Jones](=) (hamstring) was not spotted on the field during the early portion of the team's practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones is banged up with this hamstring injury but we won't have a true feel about his availability until Friday's practice. Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage would do even more if Jones has to miss time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [PHI - WR Alshon Jeffery expected soon]() Source: NBC Sports Philadelphia - Reuben Frank Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) still isn't practicing and isn't likely to play in Week 3, but his return is expected in the next few weeks, according to one Eagles team beat reporter. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jeffery was listed as limited in practice on Wednesday. This is the first time he's been out there in almost 10 months. Jeffery is getting closer to a return, but counting on him in Week 3 is a bit much. We'll see if he can ramp up his participation now that he's back at practice. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [SF - TE George Kittle remains limited]() Source: 49ers.com San Francisco 49ers TE [George Kittle](=) (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There's no telling whether or not Kittle is going to play in Week 3. The team has Jordan Reed in case Kittle can't give it a go. We'll know more about his status on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [TEN - TE Jonnu Smith practices Thursday]( Source: TennesseeTitans.com Tennessee Titans TE [Jonnu Smith](=) (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's a good sign for Smith. He's in line for a good week against the Vikings and Fantasy GMs can look at him as a TE1 in Week 3. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [LVR - TE Darren Waller not seen Thursday](=) Source: ESPN.com - Paul Gutierrez Las Vegas Raiders TE [Darren Waller](=) (knee) was not spotted on the field at the start of practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Waller could be getting a rest day here. Keep an eye on his status in Friday's practice. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [KC - WR Sammy Watkins in concussion protocol](=) Source: Kansas City Star - Herbie Teope Kansas City Chiefs WR [Sammy Watkins](=) (head) is in the concussion protocol and will not practice Thursday, Sept. 24, head coach Andy Reid said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watkins took a big hit against the Chargers in Week 2. The Chiefs play on Monday night in a must-watch game against the Ravens. If Watkins is down, then Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson would be in line for more targets. Check back on Saturday to see if Watkins has practiced. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [PHI - Limited practice for WR Alshon Jeffery]() Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jeffery was back out there and this is a positive sign. However, it's no guarantee that he is close to playing in Week 3. Let's see what his status is on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [PIT - WR Diontae Johnson takes part in practice]( Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley Pittsburgh Steelers WR [Diontae Johnson](=) (toe) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Johnson has 23 targets in two games, so he's a big part of the Steelers passing game. We see him as a WR2 against the Texans in Week 3. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [GB - WR Davante Adams works on the side Thursday](=) Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Tom Silverstein Green Bay Packers WR [Davante Adams](=) (hamstring) was limited to rehab work on a side field Thursday, Sept. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy GMs are watching this situation closely. The Packers could certainly use Adams against the Saints on Sunday. The game is Sunday night, so Fantasy GMs will have to make a decision on Adams early...even though he may be labeled a game-time decision. Stay tuned.
