[TB - WR Chris Godwin remains idle]() Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Chris Godwin](=) (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bruce Arians said the Bucs are going to be very cautious with Godwin. Reports are speculating that Godwin might miss not only Sunday's game against the Panthers but perhaps even more time after that. Stay tuned and get ready to keep Godwin on your bench. Without him in Week 2, Mike Evans and Scotty Miller would get a large target share against the Panthers. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NO - WR Michael Thomas not ruled out](=) Source: Around The NFL New Orleans Saints WR [Michael Thomas](=) (ankle) hasn't been ruled out for the team's Week 2 game, head coach Sean Payton said Thursday, Sept. 17, but declined to comment further about his status. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The speculation is all over the place about Thomas. He could miss this game, he could miss a few weeks, he could miss several weeks...and there's a small chance he could play in Week 2. We think he'll miss some time as high-ankle sprains tend to linger. That means Emmanuel Sanders could be the Saints no.1 wideout while Thomas is down. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DET - WR Kenny Golladay still sidelined](=) Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) will remain out of practice Thursday, Sept. 17, as he deals with a hamstring injury, head coach Matt Patricia said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Golladay is not trending in the right direction. We'll see what he can do on Friday, but Fantasy GMs have to have other options at the ready. The Lions would look to more Marvin Jones Jr and Danny Amendola if Golladay has to miss another game. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [PIT - RB James Conner practices in full Thursday](=) Source: DKPittsburghSports.com - Dale Lolley Pittsburgh Steelers RB [James Conner](=) (ankle) practiced returned to a full practice Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Things change pretty quickly around here. Conner did not participate in practice on Wednesday and is a full participant on Thursday. He's supposed to be the team's lead back if healthy but Benny Snell looked better in relief of Conner against the Giants in Week 1. Perhaps the Steelers split touches to keep Conner fresh. Watch to see what he can do in Friday's practice. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DEN - WR Courtland Sutton likely questionable for Week 2]( Source: The Denver Post - Ryan O'Halloran Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (shoulder) was deemed 'questionable' for Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers by head coach Vic Fangio on Thursday, Sept. 17, although he did not suffer a setback during practice Wednesday, Sept. 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sutton has been limited in practice to just individual drills. Watch to see if he can practice fully on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [PIT - WR Diontae Johnson returns to practice](=) Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley Pittsburgh Steelers WR [Diontae Johnson](=) (toe) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Johnson should be able to play against the Broncos. They have a weak secondary and not much of a pass rush to note. That makes the Steelers passing game a nice play in Week 2, Johnson specifically as a 'what the heck' flex. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [PIT - Full practice for WR JuJu Smith-Schuster](=) Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley Pittsburgh Steelers WR [JuJu Smith-Schuster](=) (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Smith-Schuster should have a field day against a weak Broncos secondary on Sunday. So long as QB Ben Roethlisberger is healthy, Smith-Schuster will have plenty of fantasy relevance. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NYJ - Veteran RB Frank Gore takes over as starter]() Source: The Athletic - David Lombardi New York Jets RB [Frank Gore](=) will make the start against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2 with RB Le'Veon Bell (hamstring) landing on the Reserve/Injured list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gore will be out there as the starter and is a deep RB3/RB4 for Fantasy GMs in Week 2. Behind Gore, the Jets will use Josh Adams if the veteran needs a breather. We might even see Adam Gase favorite Kalen Ballage get some snaps here and there. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [LVR - Henry Ruggs does not practice]( Source: Raiders.com Las Vegas Raiders WR [Henry Ruggs](=) III (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watch for Ruggs on Saturday. The Raiders play on Monday night against the Saints, so Saturday's practice is like Friday's practice for everyone else that plays on Sunday. That means Thursday's practice is really like Wednesdays which means we're not too concerned by Ruggs' absence. Confused yet? LOL. Just make sure he's at least limited on Saturday. Ruggs is a deep flex option if he plays in Week 2. He looked good before going down with this injury in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [IND - TE Jack Doyle remains sidelined](=) Source: Colts.com Indianapolis Colts TE [Jack Doyle](=) (ankle, knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy GMs need to have another plan at the tight end position. We'll see if Doyle can practice fully on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [MIA - WR DeVante Parker still limited](=) Source: MiamiDolphins.com Miami Dolphins WR [DeVante Parker](=) (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Parker may not be able to go against the Bills this weekend. If he does play, he'll clearly not be 100 percent. Parker has a tough matchup if he's out there and should not be considered more than a WR7 in Week 2. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [TB - WR Mike Evans' routes were limited]() Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Mike Evans](=)' (hamstring) routes were limited in Week 1 as head coach Bruce Arians said 'we were careful how many times we sent him downfield.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Evans was out there last week but didn't quite look like himself. He should be even better this week. In fact, Evans might be in for a big week against the Panthers defense on Sunday. With his injury, consider Evans a WR2 with upside in Week 2. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [MIA - WR Preston Williams fully practices](=) Source: MiamiDolphins.com Miami Dolphins WR [Preston Williams](=) (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams could be in for a larger target load depending on what happens with DeVante Parker this week. He's a WR3 or flex option for Fantasy GMs in week 2. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [BUF - WR John Brown takes part in practice](=) Source: BuffaloBills.com Buffalo Bills WR [John Brown](=) (foot) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brown is a deep flex play for Fantasy GMs in Week 2. His speed means Brown can make your fantasy day on a single play. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [DAL - WR Amari Cooper added to injury list](=) Source: DallasCowboys.com Dallas Cowboys WR [Amari Cooper](=) (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cooper should be good to go in Week 2. He's been limited but might get a full practice in on Friday. We see him as a WR1 against the Falcons on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [IND - RB Michael Pittman listed as limited](=) Source: Colts.com Indianapolis Colts WR [Michael Pittman](=) (toe) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We like the Colts rookie receiver in dynasty formats. It's a different story in re-draft leagues unless injuries strike above Pittman on the depth chart. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [NYG - TE Evan Engram needed in other areas]() Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan New York Giants TE [Evan Engram](=) is not viewed by the team as a 'one-dimensional player,' offensive coordinator Jason Garrett said Thursday, Sept. 17, adding that they're going to continue to use Engram in all facets of the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Engram has TE1 upside for Fantasy GMs so long as he stays healthy. On the road against the Bears this week, the Giants offense should look better than it did against the Steelers in Week 1. That makes Engram a low-end TE1 option in Week 2. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [NYJ - WR Jamison Crowder out of practice Thursday]( Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini New York Jets WR [Jamison Crowder](=) (hamstring) is not practicing Thursday, Sept. 17, due to a hamstring that tightened up on him in practice the day before. Head coach Adam Gase said he doesn't believe Crowder's injury to be serious. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Crowder is only a 'what the heck' flex for Fantasy GMs this week. Nobody is really excited about the Jets offense regardless of the matchup. We'll see if Crowder can get at least a limited practice in on Friday.
