[PHI - RB Miles Sanders out]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 1. Sanders is progressing well, but the team wants to be sure he's good to go for the long haul, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This news will have some Fantasy GMs scrambling. Boston Scott will be the lead back and should produce like a RB2 in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [SF - WR Deebo Samuel to IR]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel (foot) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Sept. 12. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This means Samuel will be out at least the first three weeks of the regular season. The team is going to be without him in Week 1 and rookie first-round pick Brandon Aiyuk is questionable. They've got one of the most banged up WR corps in the NFL. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DEN - WR Courtland Sutton 50-50](=) Source: DenverBroncos.com - Aric DiLalla Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (shoulder) is truly 50-50 to play in Week 1, according to head coach Vic Fangio. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sutton did not practice on Saturday. He's a game-time decision for Monday night against the Titans. Fantasy GMs should have a different plan. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [TB - WR Mike Evans upgraded to questionable]() Source: Buccaneers.com - Scott Smith Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) on Saturday, Sept. 12, was upgraded from doubtful to questionable on the team's Week 1 injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Evans is a game-time decision according to Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians. If he does play, Evans is not going to be at 100 percent. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NE - PK Nick Folk activated]() Source: The Athletic - Jeff Howe New England Patriots PK Nick Folk was activated from the practice squad Saturday, Sept. 12. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Folk will be the Patriots starting kicker for Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NE - WR Gunner Olszewski to IR]() Source: The Athletic - Jeff Howe New England Patriots WR Gunner Olszewski (foot) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Sept. 12, after suffering a setback with his foot injury this week. DT Xavier Williams was activated from the practice squad. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Patriots have a rough looking WR corps this year. Losing Olszewski for the first three games of the year at least just pushes Julian Edelman even further up the target list. [Check it out here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [HOU - RB Duke Johnson week-to-week]( Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson Updating a previous report, Houston Texans RB [Duke Johnson](=) (ankle) sustained a sprained ankle in Week 1's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and is considered week-to-week, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Duke Johnson's injury could open the door for David Johnson to have more of a three-down role. We'll see if Duke Johnson can practice in preparation for Week 2 against the Ravens. Reports indicate he's already considered questionable for the next game. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [LAR - WR Cooper Kupp contract terms](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo Updating previous reports, Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp and the team reached agreement Saturday, Sept. 12, on a three-year contract extension worth up to $48 million, according to NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Rams were not kidding around. They got CB Jalen Ramsey done and then moved quickly to get Kupp's deal done too. Kupp was expected to get around $20 million annually but this deal is $16 million per year on average. He has yet to hit the peak in his career and could get another deal for big money when this contract is expired. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [MIN - RB Dalvin Cook contract terms]() Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook and the team agreed on a five-year contract extension Saturday, Sept. 12, worth $63 million, according to sources. The deal includes $28 million in guaranteed money. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cook gets the big raise he wanted and the Vikings get their star running back wrapped up for the near future. Fantasy GMs are happy this contract situation is no longer going to be a distraction. Cook is a RB1 and must-start every week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [DEN - Denver contacts DE Cameron Wake]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Free agent DE Cameron Wake has been contacted by the Denver Broncos, but the two sides have been unable to reach a deal on contract terms, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Broncos need to add pass-rushing help after losing Von Miller for the season (most likely). Wake played with Broncos DL Jurrell Casey last year with the Titans and proved to be a capable reserve pass-rusher. We'll see if the two sides can come to an agreement in the near future. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [PHI - DE Derek Barnett out for Week 1]() Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com Philadelphia Eagles DE Derek Barnett (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [NO - RB Alvin Kamara gets 5-year extension](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara and the team on Saturday, Sept. 12, reached agreement on a five-year contract extension worth $75 million in new money, according to sources. The deal is worth $77.133 million overall, and includes a $15 million signing bonus. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kamara gets a deal that makes him the second-highest paid running back in the league (on an average annual salary basis) behind only Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey. He's on the books for around $15.4 million per year and is clearly the player the Saints are building around for the future. They have limited salary cap space, but Saints GM Mickey Loomis knows how important Kamara is to what the team wants to be on offense -- this year with QB Drew Brees and in future years without him.
