We made it. I've been writing an email for you every single night since the NFL Draft way back on April 23. April 23 to September 10 is a pretty long time in any year. In 2020, it feels like forever. We had ups and downs. The country's had ups and downs. The world's had ups and downs. But through it all, we made it. Some of you took some hard shots. Some like me are just a little worse for the wear. But we're here and we're together and the NFL starts the regular season Thursday night in Kansas City. And that's something. It's not going to change the world. But it's something. Sit back and enjoy Football. I'm glad you're on this ride with me. It's a ton of fun and our friends at the FFPC have been doing this for years. It's always great when a random player scores two touchdowns in the Thursday night opener and what that does to his draft value. Clayton Gray tells us here why this weekend isn't too late to draft. [WAS - Washington to use committee at RB]() Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Football Team RBs Peyton Barber, Antonio Gibson, Bryce Love and J.D. McKissic are all candidates to receive playing time in Week 1 since head coach Ron Rivera said the team will use a committee approach at the position. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Football Team has some interesting options in the backfield. Gibson is arguably the best all-around talent and he can work well as a runner and receiver out of the backfield. Love has explosive capability and can make field-flipping plays. Barber is a solid-yet-unspectacular veteran. McKissic is listed as the no.1 back on the depth chart and is a pass-catching back. This RBBC is one Fantasy GMs should avoid early and give it some time to see how it plays out. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [TB - Hamstring injury for WR Mike Evans](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine Updating previous reports, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 9, because of a hamstring injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Evans is a game-time decision and Fantasy GMs need to have another plan ready for Week 1. He may not practice the rest of the week due to this hamstring injury. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DEN - OLB Von Miller not ruled out for 2020]( Source: The Denver Post - Ryan O'Halloran Denver Broncos LB Von Miller (ankle) will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list, but head coach Vic Fangio said he is not ruling out Miller playing at some point this season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's still bad news but not as bad as missing the whole season. Fingers crossed here. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [KC - TE Travis Kelce ready to play]() Source: Chiefs.com Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 9, and is not on the injury report for Week 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] No surprise here. The Chiefs have eased him into action as he deals with this minor knee issue. Kelce is a TE1 for Fantasy GMs on Thursday night. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [LAR - Rams RBBC confirmed for Week 1](=) Source: Los Angeles Daily News - Kevin Modesti Los Angeles Rams RBs Cam Akers, Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson (hamstring) will be part of a committee for Week 1, according to head coach Sean McVay. Henderson, who missed two weeks due to a hamstring injury, is expected to be ready. 'If (Henderson) is, that's a three-back rotation that you feel really good about,' McVay said. 'Exactly how those carries will be distributed is something we'll determine really as the week progresses and as the game unfolds.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McVay has talked about how he admires what Kyle Shanahan does with the 49ers backfield. That sort of three-headed RBBC will be what the Rams implement in 2020. This is a situation largely avoided by Fantasy GMs until we get more clarity on who could have the most fantasy value. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [KC - RB Darrel Williams not on injury report]() Source: Chiefs.com Kansas City Chiefs RB Darrel Williams (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 9, and is not on the injury report for Week 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams is the reserve to Clyde Edwards-Helaire and could get some touches here and there. We'll see how much he's used in the season opener on Thursday night. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [MIA - Limited practice for WR DeVante Parker]() Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Parker has been banged up with this hamstring injury for a bit, but the Dolphins are keeping him limited so he can be as close to full strength as possible for Week 1. He's the no.1 target in the Dolphins offense and a WR3 with upside for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [HOU - WR Brandin Cooks listed as questionable](=) Source: HoustonTexans.com Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks (quadriceps) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 9, and is listed as questionable for Week 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cooks is an injury prone player, so starting the season already banged up does not make us feel great. He's a WR4 or deep flex play for Fantasy GMs in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [CIN - WR A.J. Green cleared for Week 1]() Source: The Athletic - Paul Dehner Jr. Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) wasn't listed on the injury report for Wednesday, Sept. 9, ahead of Week 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for the Bengals here. It's a new era with rookie QB Joe Burrow leading the way, and Bengals fans should be excited. Green is a WR3 with upside for Fantasy GMs this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [PHI - Jalen Reagor on the field Wednesday](=) Source: The Athletic - Zach Berman Philadelphia Eagles WR Jalen Reagor (shoulder) is participating in practice Wednesday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The word is that Reagor may be ready for Week 2. That means the first-round rookie could miss the season opener for the Eagles. This latest report and his participation seemed to shock reporters around the team. Perhaps he does end up playing in Week 1. Either way, Fantasy GMs should take a wait-and-see approach to see what his status is on Friday. [DAL - WR Amari Cooper fully practices](=) Source: DallasCowboys.com - David Helman Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cooper should be out there against the Rams. He's a low-end WR1 for Fantasy GMs in the season opener and we're all excited to see what this Cowboys offense looks like with all these weapons in 2020. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [DET - D'Andre Swift back on the field]( Source: MLive.com - Kyle Meinke Detroit Lions RB D'Andre Swift (leg) is participating in practice Wednesday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team went out and added veteran RB Adrian Peterson to work behind Kerryon Johnson. Swift is a talented rookie but the Lions do not have any need to rush him back too soon. It will be interesting to see how all three backs are used when Swift is at or near full strength. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [JAX - RB Devine Ozigbo misses practice]( Source: NFLCommunications.com Jacksonville Jaguars RB Devine Ozigbo (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] James Robinson is the top back for the Jaguars. With Ozigbo banged up, he'll get most of the work in the Jacksonville backfield when it comes to carries. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [MIA - TE Mike Gesicki limited Wednesday]() Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley Miami Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki (glute) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gesicki is listed second on the depth chart at tight end. He'll work into the mix when the team gets to the red zone because of his size. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [SF - Brandon Aiyuk unlikely to practice](=) Source: ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) is not expected to practice Wednesday, Sept. 9, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Aiyuk's hamstring injury was described as 'mild' a couple of weeks ago. The team will give him the day off on Wednesday and perhaps even on Thursday. Check back to see if the rookie can practice on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [LAC - WR Mike Williams limited Wednesday](=) Source: Chargers.com Los Angeles Chargers WR [Mike Williams](=) (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said Williams (will "likely" be a game-time decision for Week 1 against the Bengals. Fantasy GMs should just leave him on your bench (if deep enough) while he fights to get back to full strength. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [CHI - RB David Montgomery causing optimism]() Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan Updating a previous story, Chicago Bears RB David Montgomery (groin) has the team optimistic he'll be able to play in Week 1 despite being a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 9, according to Adam Caplan of Sirius XM NFL Radio. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Montgomery's groin injury complicates things for the Bears backfield. If Montgomery can't play in the season opener, who is going to get the majority of the carries? Ryan Nall might be an option and we could see WR Cordarrelle Patterson get some carries too. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [MIA - WR Preston Williams listed as limited]() Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley Miami Dolphins WR Preston Williams (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams should be limited in practice for some time. He's not going to be a year away from the injury he had last year after eight games. Williams is feeling good but he's not 100 percent. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [LAR - WR Cooper Kupp working on contract extension]( Source: NFL Network - Steve Wyche Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp is working on a contract extension with the team, according to Steve Wyche of NFL Network Wednesday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wyche adds there is a lot of work to be done for the deal to be completed before the season opener, but that's the hope. We could see him sign a deal similar to what Keenan Allen received from the Chargers last week.
