[PHI - QB Carson Wentz day-to-day](=) Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (lower body) is considered day-to-day because of a lower body injury. It is believed to be a minor soft tissue injury and the team is holding him out of practice Sunday, Aug. 30, for precautionary reasons. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is hopefully truly minor, but with the Eagles rash of injuries lately, it is unwelcome news. We'll judge the final concern level in Week 1 by his practice participation. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [LAC - S Derwin James leaves practice]( Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper Los Angeles Chargers S Derwin James (undisclosed) left practice early Sunday, Aug. 30, after suffering an undisclosed injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] James ended up having a meniscus injury that will cost him significant time. The Chargers could use Desmond King or Nasir Adderley in his spot from in-house options, or look to Earl Thomas, who is well-versed in defensive coordinator Gus Bradley's system from their time together in Seattle. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [PHI - Jalen Reagor to miss a few weeks](=) Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram - Drew Davison Philadelphia Eagles WR Jalen Reagor (shoulder) has a small tear in his labrum and will miss at least Week 1 of the regular season, according to a source. He will not need surgery to repair the injury and his status for Week 2 is uncertain. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Reagor won't be startable until we see him on the field without any reinjury for one week, so probably not until Week 4 at the earliest. He was mostly being drafted on upside, but it does give DeSean Jackson, Zach Ertz, and Dallas Goedert more room to make an early impact, and opens the door for JJ Arcega-Whiteside redemption. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [TB - RB Ronald Jones back on field]() Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones (foot) participated in practice Sunday, Aug. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is a good sign that the injury truly was minor. Jones will start the year as the Bucs #1 back and have a chance to hit his fantasy ceiling if he plays well, especially in the passing game. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [LAR - WR Cooper Kupp has minor injury](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) suffered a sprained ankle during the team's scrimmage Sunday, Aug. 30, but is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, according to a source. Kupp likely will not practice much this week. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It is reportedly a low ankle sprain, which shouldn't affect him during the regular season, but if it does, second round pick Van Jefferson appears to be ready for prime time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [PHI - Lane Johnson day-to-day](=) Source: NFL.com Philadelphia Eagles OT Lane Johnson (lower body) is considered day-to-day because of a lower body injury, according to head coach Doug Pederson. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Eagles can't afford any more injuries on the offensive line. We'll look to see if Johnson gets full practices in leading up to the season opener against Washington. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [BUF - Zack Moss limited Sunday](=) Source: ESPN.com - Marcel Louis-Jacques Buffalo Bills RB Zack Moss (neck) wore a non-contact jersey during practice Sunday, Aug. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's good that Moss was out there on the field, but neck issues can be tricky, so if this keeps him on the injury report or resurfaces during the season, it could be problematic. Don't throw away your Devin Singletary shares yet, but keep Moss on your undervalued player list. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NYJ - Denzel Mims not practicing]( Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini New York Jets WR Denzel Mims (hamstring) is not participating in practice Sunday, Aug. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The window on Mims having an early season impact has closed and perhaps even for this season, considering how the Jets will be on the low end of offensive efficiency. He's only a dynasty hold right now. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [SF - TE George Kittle sits again](=) Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) did not participate in practice Sunday, Aug. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kittle is a warrior, playing through a torn labrum for over a year, but we'll watch this to see if it threatens his availability or effectiveness for Week 1, with Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel also questionable at best. The 49ers passing game could be very limited against Arizona in the opener. Chances are this is just precautionary, but we want to see practice participation leading into Week 1 to confirm that. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [LAR - S Taylor Rapp set to return]() Source: The Athletic - Jourdan Rodrigue Los Angeles Rams S Taylor Rapp (knee) is expected to return to practice Monday, Aug. 31, according to head coach Sean McVay. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rapp is going to play in the box a lot and could benefit on the stat sheet from the inexperience at inside linebacker. We'll watch his practice participation leading up to the season opener against Dallas. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [DEN - ILB Mark Barron joining Denver]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Free-agent LB Mark Barron (Steelers) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos Sunday, Aug. 30, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This could be related to injuries to Todd Davis and Justin Strnad. Barron is best-suited for passing down play at this point. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [NYJ - La'Mical Perine to undergo MRI]( Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano New York Jets RB La'Mical Perine (ankle) is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his injured ankle. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Perine was carted off, leaving the Jets with just two healthy running backs. They could bring back UDFA Pete Guerriero, a speed back from Monmouth that they recently released. [Check it out here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [BUF - No practice for WR Stefon Diggs](=) Source: ESPN.com - Marcel Louis-Jacques Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs (back) did not participate in practice Sunday, Aug. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is probably a minor issue, but if Diggs misses any time, the values of John Brown and Cole Beasley change significantly, so if this comes up again during the season, we'll remember that it was a pre-existing problem. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [MIN - WR Adam Thielen receives day off](=) Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Ben Goessling Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen received the day off from practice Sunday, Aug. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Thielen might have the highest target total in the league this year. The Vikings would be wise to make sure he's healthy for Week 1 against Green Bay. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [CLE - CB Greedy Williams still not ready]() Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot Cleveland Browns CB Greedy Williams (shoulder) missed his fifth straight practice Sunday, Aug. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Terrance Mitchell might be next man up with Kevin Johnson sidelined by a liver issue. Mitchell has also been banged up this summer. The Browns also lost Grant Delpit for the year, so they need help in the secondary heading into the season opener against Baltimore. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [PHI - Jason Peters staying at OG for now](=) Source: The Athletic - Zach Berman Philadelphia Eagles OT Jason Peters worked at right guard with first-team offense during practice Sunday, Aug. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Peters wants a raise if he is going to play left tackle and it appears the Eagles are not going to give into his demands. Matt Pryor, Jack Driscoll, and Jordan Mailata are options at left tackle if Peters stays at right guard. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [NYJ - S Marcus Maye leaves practice early]( Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano New York Jets S Marcus Maye (calf) left practice early Sunday, Aug. 30, because of calf tightness. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Maye was in a crucial role with Jamal Adams traded away right before camp and he was having a great summer. Maye was headed for a big leap in IDP value, so hopefully this is a minor issue. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [NYJ - WR Breshad Perriman still sidelined]( Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini New York Jets WR Breshad Perriman (knee) is not participating in practice Sunday, Aug. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Perriman's knee has been swelling which harkens back to his Ravens days of constantly being on the injury report. He'll be the #1 outside receiver by default when he's on the field, but this dims some of his late round appeal. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [CLE - Cleveland interested in CB Logan Ryan]() Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot Free-agent CB Logan Ryan (Titans) is receiving interest from the Cleveland Browns, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ryan would match up against Juju Smith-Schuster and Tyler Boyd twice a year in an improvement to the Browns secondary. He should get signed somewhere soon. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [NFL - Ja'Marr Chase opting out of college season]( Source: CBSSports.com - Dennis Dodd Louisiana State WR Ja'Marr Chase has informed the team that he will be opting out of the 2020 college football season and plans to enter the 2021 NFL Draft, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Chase is the #1 college receiver in dynasty fantasy leagues that allow you roster college players. He is preserving his draft stock and should be a first round pick in 2021. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [HOU - ILB Zach Cunningham agrees to extension](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero Houston Texans LB Zach Cunningham agreed to a multi-year contract extension Sunday, Aug. 30, that is worth $14.5 million per season, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cunningham signed above what any off-ball linebacker signed this offseason. He's an important piece of the Texans defense, but if the cap number isn't much above the 175 million dollar floor, it's possible that they overpaid a bit for him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [CHI - PK Eddy Pineiro sidelined with groin injury]() Source: Chicago Sun-Times - Jason Lieser Chicago Bears PK Eddy Pineiro (groin) was not seen attempting any field goals during the first two weeks of practice due to a groin injury. He was in uniform for the team's scrimmage Saturday, Aug. 29, but did not kick. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cairo Santos, once a Bears for the Bears, is back again, and he could start vs. Detroit Week 1 if Pineiro isn't ready. Either way, it appears the kicker drama in Chicago is back. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [MIN - DE Yannick Ngakoue acquired from Jacksonville]() Source: 1 No Source The Minnesota Vikings acquired DE Yannick Ngakoue from the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, Aug. 30, in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2022, according to multiple sources. He will rework his one-year, $17.788 million franchise tender to complete the deal. The fifth-round pick can become a fourth-round pick if Ngakoue is a first-ballot Pro Bowl selection or a third-round pick if the Vikings win the Super Bowl in addition to Ngakoue becoming a first-ballot Pro Bowler. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ngakoue will team up with Danielle Hunter to make one of the best pass rush duos in the league. Ifeadi Odenigbo will move to backup end but could also get significant snaps or even start at defensive tackle to help preserve some of his fantasy value. The Jaguars have two picks in the first and second rounds next year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks.
