[PHI - Nate Sudfeld likely will be No. 2 QB](#8) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [CLE - RB Nick Chubb should return soon]() Source: NFL Network - Aditi Kinkhabwala Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb (concussion) is participating in meetings and should return to practice in the near future, according to running backs coach Stump Mitchell. Chubb has not been experiencing any headaches. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for the superstar running back here. Chubb is the lead back for the Browns but Kareem Hunt is going to have a role as well. Fantasy GMs are expecting Chubb to be a RB1 and drafting him late in the first round. Hunt is more of a flex play in PPR leagues but certainly has RB1 upside if Chubb has to miss time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [KC - Hamstring injury for WR Tyreek Hill]( Source: Chiefs.com - Matt McMullen Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring) left practice early Thursday, Aug. 20, because of a hamstring injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Chiefs will be wisely cautious with their superstar receiver. Hamstring injuries can linger if not given enough time to heal properly. Speed receivers like Hill can be especially susceptible to such injuries. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DEN - KJ Hamler to miss a few weeks]( Source: NFL Network - James Palmer Denver Broncos WR KJ Hamler (hamstring) will be sidelined for a few weeks because of a hamstring injury, according to head coach Vic Fangio. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hamler was injured in the pre-draft process and was not able to showcase his skill set at the Scouting Combine earlier this year. He's a speed receiver and can absolutely fly down the field. Hamler will get time to have this properly heal so it does not linger. The rookie is working to be the team's no.3 receiver behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [GB - WR Davante Adams misses practice](=) Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Thursday, Aug. 20, but head coach Matt LaFleur said Adams should return soon. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Adams is a seasoned veteran and doesn't need every rep in training camp. He'll get as much time off as he needs to deal with whatever this undisclosed situation is. [Check it out here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- Know the 2020 Rookies - Our friend Matt Waldman dives deep into NFL Draft Prospects with a Fantasy Football lens. [Get the Rookie Scouting Portfolio here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BAL - Baltimore may not add WR Dez Bryant now](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Free-agent WR [Dez Bryant](=) (Saints) worked out for the Baltimore Ravens Thursday, Aug. 20, but the two sides are not expected to reach a contract agreement at this time, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Ravens did work out Bryant but no deal as of yet. They were just updating their emergency list and could sign Bryant at a later date. He hasn't been in the league since tearing his Achilles' with the Saints in 2019. We'll see if Bryant gets a new home before the start of the 2020 regular season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [DEN - RB Melvin Gordon leaves early]() Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold Denver Broncos RB Melvin Gordon (rib) left practice early Thursday, Aug. 20, because of a rib injury. Head coach Vic Fangio said he does not know the severity of Gordon's injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rib injuries can be painful for running backs as they take a beating between the tackles. Gordon is set to be the lead back for the Broncos but Phillip Lindsay is looking good in practice and could have a larger role than some think. Bump Gordon's ADP down a bit while raising the ADP (and expectations) for Lindsay in 2020. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [BUF - Zack Moss earning significant role]( Source: The Buffalo News - Jay Skurski Buffalo Bills RB Zack Moss 'is expected to be a big part' of the team's rushing attack this season, according to Jay Skurski of the Buffalo News. Skurski adds Moss showed at practice Tuesday, Aug. 18, he could also see work in the passing game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moss is a tough inside runner who can grind down defenders as the game goes on. He'll work as the primary backup to Devin Singletary. Moss can be a starter in this league but expect more of a grinder mentality with him rather than big play expectations if he were to get a larger role. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [PHI - Nate Sudfeld likely will be No. 2 QB](=) Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane Philadelphia Eagles QB Nate Sudfeld likely will be the No. 2 quarterback this season since QB Jalen Hurts still has a lot to learn, according to head coach Doug Pederson. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That sounds about right. Sudfeld has been working with the Eagles for some time and knows the system well. Hurts could be a gadget quarterback and get on the field for the Eagles as a 'Taysom Hill-type' of player in 2020. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family and thanks for reading.
