The other people in the draft are our friends. They work extremely hard at Fantasy Football and they're great at it. [NE - Rotation at QB for Patriots?]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots QBs Jarrett Stidham, Cam Newton and Brian Hoyer are competing for the starting job, but head coach Bill Belichick did not rule out the possibility of using a rotation at quarterback if it gives the team the best chance to win. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Reiss is one of the best beat writers in the league, so when he suggests something we all should listen. The Patriots are running out of time to choose a starting quarterback and we could see a rotation early on in the season until one (Cam Newton?) emerges as the primary guy. It sounds crazy, but hey -- it would kind of fit 2020, right? [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [PHI - RB Miles Sanders injured](=) Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (leg) is listed as week to week with a lower-body injury Wednesday, Aug. 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is an interesting situation to monitor. Sanders is supposed to be the do-everything running back for the Eagles once again this year with the team insisting that he could have an even larger role in 2020. This injury is said to be minor but a 'week-to-week' designation is ...interesting. Monitor Sanders closely as the regular season draws near. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [MIN - RB Dalvin Cook stops talks for now]() Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook has stopped contract extension talks with the Vikings and plans to focus on the regular season, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cook wants a new deal and the Vikings seemed to be willing to work something out before the start of the regular season. The talks are paused now as both parties are focused on Week 1. Cook may hit free agency next year if the Vikings can't get something done. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [ARI - RB Chase Edmonds draws high praise]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Kyle Odegard Arizona Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds could be a starting running back in the NFL, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury Wednesday, Aug. 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Edmonds has a three-down skill set and doesn't need to come off the field. He's the backup for the Cardinals behind Kenyan Drake but a high-value handcuff for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NE - N'Keal Harry not at practice]( Source: NBC Sports Boston - Phil Perry New England Patriots WR N'Keal Harry (undisclosed) was not present at practice Wednesday, Aug. 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Harry needs to get healthy (if that's what this absence is) and start impressing. Word out of Patriots camp is that he's struggling to gain separation. Dynasty GMs will need to keep an eye on his progress. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [PHI - TE Dallas Goedert day to day](=) Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (upper body) is day to day with an upper-body injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team insists this is not a big deal. We could see Goedert out for less than a week or so. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [HOU - WR Will Fuller has QB's belief]() Source: ESPN.com - Sarah Barshop Houston Texans WR Will Fuller is 'going to be one of the best receivers in the league,' according to QB Deshaun Watson Wednesday, Aug. 19. Fuller arrived at camp in great shape, according to head coach Bill O'Brien. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fuller and Watson have a great connection on the field. Their chemistry is not an issue...but Fuller's long injury history is. If Fuller is healthy, then he's got plenty of flex appeal for Fantasy GMs. Fuller rarely stays healthy for that long, so understand you're trying to catch a window with him and cannot count on him for the full season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NYJ - WR Breshad Perriman fitting in]() Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini New York Jets WR Breshad Perriman is developing good chemistry with QB Sam Darnold very quickly, according to head coach Adam Gase. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Perriman has speed to take the top off a defense. He had a breakout season with the Buccaneers last year and now will be the primary deep threat for the Jets this year. Fantasy GMs aren't super excited about the Jets passing game, for good reason, and Perriman has a current ADP of WR61 (14.03) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [WAS - RB Bryce Love No. 2 in Washington?]() Source: NBC Sports Washington - JP Finlay Washington Football Team RB Bryce Love worked with the first-team offense Wednesday, Aug. 19, with RB Adrian Peterson out. Love's role as the No. 2 running back in Washington 'seems quite real,' according to JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Love has amazing skill as a runner if healthy. He followed up Christian McCaffrey in college at Stanford and was outstanding when healthy. Love had a redshirt year as a rookie in 2019 as he continued on the road to recovery. He is a player we have been interested in for quite some time and will monitor him in dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [MIA - Tua Tagovailoa accurate in camp]( Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa has been 'as advertised' with his accuracy in the first three days of training camp, according to Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald Wednesday, Aug. 19. Jackson said Tagovailoa has been on target but without any wow plays or bad plays. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tagovailoa has great accuracy as a passer but his pass placement is also special. Not only does he throw accurately, but Tagovailoa also does a great job of leading his receivers properly to maximize run-after-the-catch yards. The rookie first-round pick could be the franchise quarterback the Dolphins have been looking for since the days of Dan Marino. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [ARI - WR DeAndre Hopkins on field Wednesday]() Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is participating in practice Wednesday, Aug. 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Cardinals are going to be cautious with the superstar. As everyone knows, hamstring injuries can linger if not given enough time to heal. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [PHI - RB Boston Scott nicked up](=) Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane Philadelphia Eagles RB Boston Scott (leg) is day to day with a lower-body injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Scott has value as a handcuff to Miles Sanders. He looked good in limited duty last year and has been on the fantasy radar for some time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- FOOTBALLGUYS PICKS Looking for even more FF Content? - Matthew Berry's Rotopass bundles Footballguys, Rotowire, Rotoviz apps, and more. [Check it out here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- Know the 2020 Rookies - Our friend Matt Waldman dives deep into NFL Draft Prospects with a Fantasy Football lens. [Get the Rookie Scouting Portfolio here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [WAS - Chase Young limited Wednesday]() Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Football Team DE Chase Young (hip) was limited during practice Wednesday, Aug. 19, because of a hip flexor issue, according to head coach Ron Rivera. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Young was arguably the best player in the 2020 NFL draft regardless of position. He's going to give opposing quarterbacks nightmares for years to come. Washington will take it easy on him as he deals with this hip injury. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [BUF - A.J. Epenesa moving around]() Source: ESPN.com - Marcel Louis-Jacques Buffalo Bills DE A.J. Epenesa said he has lined up at every defensive line spot during training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Epenesa has length and strength to get after the passer. The Bills will use him to rush the quarterback from all over the field. The rookie has the upside to be a double-digit sack guy and could one day be a Pro Bowl player. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [CHI - Chicago adds WR Rodney Adams]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Free-agent WR Rodney Adams (Colts) agreed to terms with the Chicago Bears Wednesday, Aug. 19. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Adams was a fifth-round pick for the Vikings in the 2017 NFL draft. Coming out of Toledo/South Florida, Adams was known as a top-notch athlete but mostly an option as a return man in the NFL. Special teams is the best place Adams could earn a roster spot with the Bears. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [DEN - Concussion for TE Nick Vannett](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos TE Nick Vannett (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Aug. 19, because he is going the concussion protocol. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Vannett was brought on in free agency this year to essentially be the team's new version of Jeff Heuerman. If healthy, Vannett will work as a blocking tight end behind starter Noah Fant. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [DEN - TE Noah Fant sits with illness](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant (illness) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Aug. 19, because of an illness that is not related to COVID-19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fant is the lead tight end for the Broncos and has top-10 upside for Fantasy GMs. He is going to share some time (perhaps in the red zone) with rookie TE Albert Okwuegbunam. We should see Fant back in action soon when he gets over this illness. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [NYJ - WR Donte Moncrief may work out]( Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta Free-agent WR Donte Moncrief (Panthers) is expected to work out for the New York Jets if he is able to pass his COVID-19 testing, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moncrief played with both the Steelers and the Panthers last year...and he was released with a few weeks remaining in the 2019 season. He's been out of the league since then, but Moncrief has been getting some workouts here and there. We'll see if the Jets decide to bring him in. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [TEN - QB Trevor Siemian joining Titans]() Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano Free-agent QB Trevor Siemian (Jets) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans Wednesday, Aug. 19. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Siemian has plenty of starting experience and now could win the primary backup job to Ryan Tannehill. He will compete with Logan Woodside for that job. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [ATL - RB Qadree Ollison's role could grow]() Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Will McFadden Atlanta Falcons RB Qadree Ollison was the most impressive running back at practice Wednesday, Aug. 19, according to Will McFadden of AtlantaFalcons.com. McFadden suggests Ollison's role could be even large than it was late last season when he emerged as the primary goal-line back. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ollison and Ito Smith are going to compete for touches behind starter Todd Gurley. Both backs have impressed so far in camp for different reasons. We'll have to see how this shakes out during the regular season, but be on the lookout for clues as training camp continues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [NYJ - WR Chris Hogan officially joins NYJ]() Source: NFLCommunications.com Updating a previous story, free-agent WR Chris Hogan (Panthers) officially signed an undisclosed contract with the New York Jets Wednesday, Aug. 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hogan only played in seven games last year for the Panthers, finishing with just eight catches for 67 yards. The Jets are desperate at the WR position due to injury but Hogan is still a long-shot to make the final roster. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [SF - San Francisco signing WR Jaron Brown]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Free-agent WR Jaron Brown (Seahawks) agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers Wednesday, Aug. 19, according to a source. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers were getting incredibly thin at the WR position, so they make a move to add Brown on Wednesday. Brown is a big-bodied receiver who could have a presence in the red zone. The 49ers lost Jalen Hurd to an injury and may be without Deebo Samuel at the start of the regular season. Brown is going to compete for a reserve role. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [NYJ - Jets host three for tryouts]( Source: MMQB - Albert Breer Free-agent QB Kyle Lauletta (Eagles), WR Donte Moncrief (Panthers) and WR DeAndre Thompkins (Eagles) tried out for the New York Jets Wednesday, Aug. 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Jets are desperately thin at the WR position. They signed WR Chris Hogan on Wednesday but they might also want to consider Moncrief.
