[BUF - Four-year extension for Dion Dawkins](#8) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [SF - TE George Kittle lands extension](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Michael Silver San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle agreed to a five-year, $75 million extension Thursday, Aug. 13, that includes an $18 million signing bonus. The contract language is still being worked out. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This contract is blowing the doors off the tight end market. It's a sign of how important Kittle is to the 49ers offense. They are a run-first offense but Kittle dominates from the tight end position as their most important receiver. He's a force on the field and Fantasy GMs can use him as a set-it-and-forget-it TE1 once again in 2020. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [KC - TE Travis Kelce agrees to extension](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension with the Chiefs Thursday, Aug. 13, worth between $14 million to $15 million per season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The tight end market is completely reshaped in one day with the big-money deal for George Kittle and this extension for Kelce. While he's not making as much per season as Kittle, this is a big raise for Kelce who was set to make $8 million this year. Kelce will once again be a must-start every week for Fantasy GMs at tight end. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DAL - DE Everson Griffen terms]() Source: ESPN.com - Kimberley A. Martin Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys DE Everson Griffen agreed to a one-year deal with a $3 million base salary and includes $3 million in potential roster bonuses. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There were more than a few teams that were rumored to be interested in Griffen but nobody got a contract worked out with him before the Cowboys did. He's a savvy veteran who can get pressure on the quarterback regularly. His skill set may be in a decline based on how 2019 fell off as the season went on, but Griffen is a solid signing for a revamped Cowboys defense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [ARI - Three 1,000-yard WRs for Cards?]() Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss Arizona Cardinals WRs DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald all have the chance to post 1,000-yard seasons in 2020, according to QB Kyler Murray. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That wouldn't be a surprise. We've seen that feat before in the NFL, most notably the Colts with QB Peyton Manning and his three 1,000-yard receivers WR Marvin Harrison, WR Reggie Wayne and WR Brandon Stokley. The firepower the Cardinals have at wide receiver is great news for QB Kyler Murray who could end up being the no.1 fantasy quarterback in 2020. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- FOOTBALLGUYS PICKS Practice Mock Drafting - Practice makes perfect with the Footballguys Draft Dominator app powered by 50+ staffers of Footballguys. [Check it out here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- Looking for even more FF Content? - Matthew Berry's Rotopass bundles Footballguys, Rotowire, Rotoviz apps, and more. [Check it out here](. --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NE - RB Lamar Miller signed, put on PUP]() Source: NFLCommunications.com Updating a previous story, free-agent RB Lamar Miller (Texans) officially signed an undisclosed contract with the New England Patriots Thursday, Aug. 13, and was then put on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Miller tore his ACL and MCL last August and has been on the road to recovery since then. The Patriots added veteran depth to the backfield with starter Sony Michel's availability for the start of the regular season in question. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [PIT - RB Jaylen Samuels ready to practice]() Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Aug. 13. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Samuels is one of the most versatile players in the NFL...and the Steelers really don't yet use him the right way. He'll catch passes out of the backfield in the mix at the running back position behind starting RB James Conner. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [DET - RB C.J. Prosise visits Detroit](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Free-agent RB C.J. Prosise (Seahawks) had a workout for the Detroit Lions Thursday, Aug. 13. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] No word on whether or not the Lions have signed him or if they're just updating their emergency list. They could use Prosise as a receiving back if signed. They have D'Andre Swift and Kerryon Johnson to compete for the starting job. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [BUF - Four-year extension for Dion Dawkins]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Buffalo Bills OT Dion Dawkins agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension with the Bills Thursday, Aug. 13, worth $60 million, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dawkins was a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft and he's developed into a consistent starter at left tackle. He'll once again be the blind-side protector for Josh Allen and gives the Bills a steady presence at one of the most important positions in football. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
