Good Sunday to you. We're halfway through the weekend and I hope yours has been relaxing. My youngest daughter moved out of our house into her first apartment today and I have to say I'm feeling those bittersweet Dad feelings. It's all good though.
We've got a bunch of new content for you plus the News and Notes so let's get to it.

E. [Zero-WR Draft Strategy](=)
With its roots in Stud-RB Strategy (where fantasy players specifically target running backs early in their drafts), Zero-WR has recently gained some support. With this draft strategy, the drafter avoids wide receivers but doesn't only target running backs. Quarterbacks and tight ends are also fair game. The main idea behind this draft theory is that wide receiver is the deepest position so you can fill it later in the draft.
We asked our Footballguys Staffers to expound on this and here's what they said.

H. [Our Newest Feature - Wisdom Of The Crowds Rankings](
I've said for years there's no smarter group of Fantasy Football people than Footballguys Subscribers. And there are a LOT of you. We're up to almost half a million subscribers for the Daily Email Update and that number will continue to go up through August.
Anytime you have that many people coupled with the kind of football knowledge you folks have, there are some powerful opportunities.
This [Wisdom Of The Crowds Rankings]( is one of those things.
The idea is simple. We throw up two players and you click on the one you'd prefer to draft. That's it. You'll then see the results for both your vote compared to other people in the Footballguys Community. And also how it compares to our Footballguys Staff Experts.
All the while, behind the scenes our Mathguys are taking all the other votes pouring in to create a complete list for how we rank all the players at that position. Which you can see too if you're logged in at Footballguys.
It's pretty rad and we're super excited about it. Check it out and let us know what you think.

1. [CLE - WR Jarvis Landry ready to return](=)
Source: ClevelandBrowns.com - Andrew Gribble
Cleveland Browns WR [Jarvis Landry](=) (hip) was activated from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, Aug. 8.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The move to put Landry on the PUP list was mostly procedural as he was always expected to be ready for the start of the regular season. Landry had hip surgery back in February and has been on the road to recovery since then. If QB Baker Mayfield has a bounce-back year in 2020 it's good news for all receivers in the passing game. Landry is a steady flex play in PPR leagues, coming off the board at WR33 (7.08) in 12-team PPR leagues.

2. [GB - QB Aaron Rodgers in for long haul?]()
Source: NFL.com - Jelani Scott
Green Bay Packers QB [Aaron Rodgers](=) isn't going anywhere else any time soon, head coach Matt LaFleur said recently. 'Right now, most importantly, Aaron's our quarterback and I see him here for a really long time,' LaFleur said. 'And however long that is, I don't think anybody knows. Nothing's guaranteed in this league but I feel so lucky to be able to work with him on a daily basis. I don't see that changing for a really long time.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
When the team selected QB Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft, and not pluck a wide receiver from this potentially historic class, did not really indicate Rodgers is there for the long haul. We'll see how he meshes with LaFleur's offense in the second season together as Rodgers continues to play at a high level. We'll also monitor the progress of Love as he gets used to the pro game as that is a big jump from Utah State to the NFL. Rodgers may be another one in a long line of great quarterbacks who end their career somewhere other than the team that drafted him.

3. [BUF - RB Devin Singletary a breakout candidate]()
Source: NFL.com - Maurice Jones-Drew
Buffalo Bills RB [Devin Singletary](=) is a strong Year 2 breakout candidate, according to NFL.com analyst [Maurice Jones-Drew](=). 'Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll will give his second-year back plenty of opportunities in both the run and pass games after watching Singletary excel between the tackles and as a pass catcher,' Jones-Drew wrote. 'With the entire Bills' offense trending in the right direction, I'm projecting that Singletary will get 250 carries, 1,300 scrimmage yards and eight to 10 TDs in Year 2.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Singletary had a strong rookie season in 2019. He's got great balance and vision as a runner, and Singletary knows how to pick up extra yardage after contact. With the Bills passing offense likely improved, that will continue to take away the attention of opposing defenses. Reports earlier this offseason indicate the Bills want to get Singletary more involved in the passing game this season. His current ADP (RB25, 4.08) could prove to be quite the value pick if he breaks out in 2020.

4. [MIA - RB Jordan Howard up in air]()
Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe
Miami Dolphins RB [Jordan Howard](=)'s role is undefined, according to running backs coach Eric Studesville.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Howard should be the lead back when it comes to carries in 2020. He's a powerful back who can grind down an opponent as the game goes on. Howard should be replaced on passing downs with Matt Breida.

5. [MIA - Miami adding WR Ricardo Louis](=)
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Free-agent WR [Ricardo Louis](=) (Dolphins) agreed to terms with the Miami Dolphins Saturday, Aug. 8, according to a source. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Dolphins had two receivers (Allen Hurns, Albert Wilson) opt out for the 2020 season. Adding Louis for veteran depth makes sense. Louis was signed to a one-year deal (as an ERFA) earlier this year but was cut back in July. A neck injury (2018) and knee injury (2019) has kept Louis off the field for the last two regular seasons. Once thought of as a long-shot for the 53-man roster, his chances are better now.

6. [NYJ - QB Joe Flacco out minimal time](=)
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
New York Jets QB [Joe Flacco](=) (neck) is expected to just miss one or two games this season. He has his final checkup in September.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Flacco is going to work as the primary backup to Sam Bradford when healthy. He looked bad as a starter for the Broncos in 2019 before his neck injury. Flacco is now at the backup phase of his career.

7. [MIA - WR Jakeem Grant has opportunity](=)

Miami Dolphins WR [Jakeem Grant](=) has an opportunity for playing time with WRs [Albert Wilson](=) and [Allen Hurns](=) opting out.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Grant is now in line for the no.3 wide receiver job on the depth chart behind DeVante Parker and Preston Williams. He's a smaller receiver but Grant is ultra quick and can make defenders look silly in the open field.

8. [BAL - RB Kenjon Barner visiting Ravens](=)
Source: JosinaMedia.com - Josina Anderson
Free-agent RB [Kenjon Barner](=) (Falcons) is visiting the Baltimore Ravens and beginning the testing process Saturday, Aug. 8.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Ravens already have a jam-packed backfield but may be looking for another body in the room. Barner is a good all-purpose back but would be a long-shot to make the 53-man roster.

9. [DET - TE T.J. Hockenson back on roster](
Source: NFLCommunications.com
Detroit Lions TE [T.J. Hockenson](=) was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, Aug. 8.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Hockenson had some big-time flashes last year as a rookie. He's got the talent to be one of the best tight ends in the league, but Hockenson needs to stay healhty and gel further with QB Matthew Stafford. Hockenson played in 12 games last year before an ankle injury ended his first pro season. In mid-June, Hockenson was back to running routes but was not 100 percent healthy. We'll know more about his status as camp rolls on. Hockenson has breakout potential in 2020 with a current ADP of TE14 (13.03) in 12-team PPR leagues.

10. [MIA - MIA not quitting on RB Kalen Ballage]()
Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe
Miami Dolphins RB [Kalen Ballage](=) hasn't lost the team's faith as running backs coach Eric Studesville said he hasn't given up on him.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Ballage has been disappointing during his time with the Dolphins. He's a big back but he doesn't run with enough authority. He can catch passes out of the backfield but that part of his game has not impressed in the pros. Ballage is now competing for the no.3 spot in the RB room behind Jordan Howard and Matt Breida.

11. [LAC - QB excited to throw to WR Mike Williams](
Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper
Los Angeles Chargers WR [Mike Williams](=)' ability to catch contested passes has QB [Tyrod Taylor](=) excited, and Taylor said that 50-50 balls are 'more like 70-30 or 80-20' balls when throwing to Williams.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Taylor to Williams could be a thing in 2020...even though Taylor isn't known for filling the air with footballs. Taylor will compete with rookie first-round QB Justin Herbert for the starting job. Tossing the rock to Williams, especially near pay dirt, is a great way to win that spot.

12. [LAR - WR Cooper Kupp hasn't had contract talks](
Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams
Los Angeles Rams WR [Cooper Kupp](=) has not had talks with the team about a contract extension, he said via videoconference.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
"I love it here. I don't want to go anywhere. In terms of all the contract stuff, I'm letting that be handled by my agent and staying out of it." Kupp said. He's in the final year of his rookie contract but the team should find a way to get something done. They also have to work on an extension with CB Jalen Ramsey in the near future.
