[KC - QB Patrick Mahomes agrees to huge extension]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Kansas City Chiefs QB [Patrick Mahomes](=) agreed to terms on a 10-year contract extension with the Chiefs Monday, July 6, that will run through the 2031 season, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] When financial details are released, prepare to be knocked off your socks. It's in the neighborhood of $500 million. Mahomes is only 24-years old and the Chiefs are in a Super Bowl window so long as he's healthy. He has put up historic numbers in just two years of starting for the Chiefs and is the face of the NFL. Expect Mahomes to keep the Chiefs in contention for years to come. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CLE - TE David Njoku remains in plans](=) Source: JosinaMedia.com - Josina Anderson Cleveland Browns TE [David Njoku](=) remains a big part of the Browns' offense, but a source said that Njoku has wanted out. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Njoku should want out as he's not the lead tight end in the Browns plans. They signed Austin Hooper in free agency to be the primary weapon at the position and they selected FAU tight end Harrison Bryant in the 2020 NFL draft. Njoku had a breakout season in 2018 but was injured last year and only caught five passes in three games. We'll see if some team offers the Browns enough to move the freakishly athletic tight end. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [SF - CB Teez Tabor waived](=) Source: 49ers.com San Francisco 49ers CB Teez Tabor (undisclosed) was waived Monday, July 6, with a Non-Football Injury designation. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tabor was a second-round pick out of Florida in the 2017 NFL draft. The Lions selected him but Tabor did not make it through final cuts last preseason and spent most of 2019 on the 49ers practice squad. He's only 24-years old and has good size for the position. Tabor should latch on with a third NFL team at some point this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [SF - CB Jamar Taylor joining SF](=) Source: 49ers.com Free-agent CB Jamar Taylor (Falcons) signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers Monday, July 6. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is Taylor's seventh team since he came into the NFL as a second-round pick for the Dolphins in the 2013 NFL draft. Now entering his age-30 season, Taylor has not looked like a decent player since 2018. It will be difficult for him to rejuvenate his career and may not make the 53-man roster. If he does make the team, it's only for veteran depth at the position. [NFL - CB Teez Tabor underwent surgery]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Free-agent CB Teez Tabor (foot) recently underwent surgery to repair a Jones fracture in his foot, according to a source. He is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers waived Tabor on Monday. He was on the 49ers practice squad for most of the 2019 season and signed a futures deal with them for 2020. If he's ready for the start of the regular season, we imagine some team will sign him for veteran depth after/around Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NYG - DE Leonard Williams seeking big payday]( Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano New York Giants DE Leonard Williams is seeking $18-$20 million in a long-term extension. The Giants are unwilling to approach that price tag. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams signed his franchise tag back in April and reports speculate that he will not sign a long-term deal with the Giants before the July 15th deadline to do so. We'll likely see the former top-10 pick (2015 NFL draft) hit the free agent market in 2021. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [LVR - Vegas makes offer to DE Jadeveon Clowney]( Source: The Athletic - Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed Free-agent DE Jadeveon Clowney (Seahawks) has received a contract offer from the Las Vegas Raiders, but the Raiders' offer is not as good as other offers he has received, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Clowney believes that he will be signed before the start of training camp in a few weeks. The Browns seem to have the most interest and may have the highest offer. The Seahawks have interest as well as they could keep Clowney around for another season and get better play out of him as he would be healthy (unlike last year). The Raiders are a 'distant third' according to reports. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DET - WR Kenny Golladay a deep threat last year]() Source: ProFootballFocus.com Detroit Lions WR [Kenny Golladay](=) recorded 17 receptions of at least 25 yards during the 2019 season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Golladay should be a deep threat for the Lions again this season. He was able to post over 1,000 yards receiving in 2019 with three different quarterbacks (Matthew Stafford, Jeff Driskel, David Blough)...and two of them weren't that good! With Stafford returning at full strength, expect the Lions passing attack to be among the league's best.
