[Get On Board Here With RotoPass]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [NE - More on QB Cam Newton's deal](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating previous reports, New England Patriots QB [Cam Newton]('s deal guarantees him $550,000 with a $1.05 million base salary. He can earn $700,000 in per-game roster bonuses and another $5.75 million in incentives. He can earn a maximum of $7.5 million. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Patriots have very little financial commitment to Newton, so they are risking almost nothing if his body broken. If he is healthy, he should be the heavy favorite to start with a solid chance to get back into the fantasy QB1 ranks. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [SF - Extension coming for RB Raheem Mostert?](=) Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper San Francisco 49ers RB [Raheem Mostert]( has had contract extension talks with the 49ers this offseason, but it is not known how much progress they have made during the talks, according to The Athletic's Matt Barrows. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mostert was easily the best back in the 49ers backfield, but his ADP suggests that fantasy players still expect Tevin Coleman to play a large role in the backfield this year. If he gets an extension before the season, his ADP should rise, so it's a good time to get trade offers out there if you believe in him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [BAL - CB Tavon Young ready]( Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra Baltimore Ravens DB Tavon Young (neck) is ready to go. 'He looks healthy on the computer,' defensive coordinator Don 'Wink' Martindale said last week, via the team's official website. 'He says he's healthy. He's ready to go. Tavon is ready to go, and if he tells me he's ready to go, I believe in him 100 percent. And he'll be ready to go, so I'm excited about that.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team also brought back Jimmy Smith in free agency, so they should be as strong from 1-4 at corner as any team in the league. The Ravens defense will be breaking in two rookie linebackers, but they added Calais Campbell up front to help a pass rush that doesn't have any impact players on the edge other than Matt Judon, who is coming back this year on the franchise tag. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [SF - Jamycal Hasty may make team]() Source: NinersWire - Kyle Madson San Francisco 49ers RB Jamycal Hasty has a chance to make the final roster if stands out during the preseason and shows he can be an asset in running and passing game, in the opinion of NinersWire's Kyle Madson. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hasty is a tailor-made third down back and he should be considered almost a lock to make the team if Jerick McKinnon can't stay healthy in camp. He should be rostered in very deep dynasty leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CLE - Jordan Elliott under contract]() Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich Cleveland Browns third-round draft choice DT Jordan Elliott signed a four-year contract with the Browns Thursday, July 2. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Elliott will be behind some top talents (Sheldon Richardson, Larry Ogunjobi) at defensive tackle for the Browns and probably not log too many snaps this year, but if the team doesn't want to pay Ogunjobi when he becomes a free agent next year, Elliott could be a key contributor. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [SEA - Brandon Shell top option at RT](=) Source: SeahawksWire - Andy Patton Seattle Seahawks OT Brandon Shell is considered the leading candidate for the starting right tackle job entering training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] His two-year, $11 million dollar deal and the Seahawks getting him early in free agency means that if he doesn't win the job, Seattle will probably regret the move. Reclamation project and 2015 Cincinnati first round pick Cedric Ogbuehi and 2018 fifth-round pick Jamarco Jones are the players most likely to push Shell for the job. [NO - OLB Kiko Alonso on track for camp]( Source: SaintsWire - John Sigler New Orleans Saints LB Kiko Alonso (knee) is on track to be ready for the start of training camp, according to NewOrleans.Football's Nick Underhill. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Alonso tore his ACL in the playoffs so this is a great development for the defense, which is also getting back Sheldon Rankins, Alex Anzalone, and Marcus Davenport from injuries. Alonso, Anzalone, and third-round pick Zach Baun will compete for the linebacker job next to Demario Davis. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [TEN - WR A.J. Brown a big-play WR in 2019]() Source: ProFootballFocus.com Tennessee Titans WR [A.J. Brown]( recorded six receptions of at least 50 yards in 2019. No other receiver in the NFL had more than four receptions of at least 50 yards. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brown was highly efficient as a rookie year. Most believe he can not possibly sustain that level, but he can improve in his second year and he can also get more volume as the clear #1 receiver going into this season. You'll probably have to spend a third round pick if you want him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DAL - QB Dak Prescott hit several long passes]() Source: ProFootballFocus.com Dallas Cowboys QB [Dak Prescott]( completed 16 passes of at least 40 yards during the 2019 season, which led the league in the category. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Prescott should hit even more this year with the addition of Ceedee Lamb. Tight end Blake Jarwin is a sleeper to target in the late rounds after being one of the more explosive tight ends in the league despite playing behind new Las Vegas Raider Jason Witten in the target pecking order. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [GB - RB Tyler Ervin has good chance to make roster]() Source: PackersWire - Zach Kruse Green Bay Packers RB [Tyler Ervin]( likely will make the final roster because of his value as a kick and punt returner, in the opinion of PackersWire's Zach Kruse. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] 2019 sixth-round pick Dexter Williams appears to be on the outside looking in if this is true. Second-round pick AJ Dillon will make it difficult for the team to carry a fourth running back that isn't a major contributor on special teams. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [SF - WR Kendrick Bourne may be extension candidate](=) Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper San Francisco 49ers WR [Kendrick Bourne]( has had contract extension talks with the 49ers this offseason, but it is not known how much progress they have made during the talks, according to the Athletic's Matt Barrows. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bourne should be among the top 3-4 49ers wide receivers in snaps this year and while he might not be fantasy relevant, he could help keep any other 49ers receiver from being reliable in fantasy leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [NYG - Xavier McKinney likely to start]( Source: GiantsWire - John Fennelly New York Giants S Xavier McKinney appears to be the leading candidate to start at safety opposite S Jabrill Peppers this upcoming season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A lot of rookies may have lessened impact this year because of the lack of an offseason, but McKinney can step in right away as a box safety and have a big IDP league impact. There's a good argument for him to be the first rookie safety off of the board in IDP leagues.
