Jeff Pasquino brings it to Football and in this one, applies it to tight ends. [] INSIDE THIS ISSUE 1. [DAL - QB Dak Prescott to sign franchise tender](#1) 2. [Get On Board Here With RotoPass]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [DAL - QB Dak Prescott to sign franchise tender]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Dallas Cowboys QB [Dak Prescott]( plans to sign his one-year tender offer by Monday, June 22, according to a source. The two sides have until July 15 to reach a long-term agreement. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With the cap possibly going down or staying level for a while, the Cowboys have a stronger position and might not reset the market with Prescott's new deal - if he signs one. Prescott could also gamble on having a good enough year to take control of the situation and basically force the Cowboys to give him the biggest contract in NFL history - that is unless Patrick Mahomes gets signed first. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [DAL - QB Dak Prescott not close to long-term deal]() Source: ESPN - Ed Werder Dallas Cowboys QB [Dak Prescott]( is not close to an agreement on a long-term contract with the Cowboys at this point, according to sources. Prescott does plan to sign his one-year tender. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team has until July 15 to work a deal out, but it doesn't sound like they are willing to reset the market with a blockbuster deal. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [PHI - Jalen Reagor to lead Philly WRs?](=) Source: Inside the Birds - Adam Caplan Philadelphia Eagles WR Jalen Reagor has done 'really well' during virtual meetings with receivers coach Aaron Moorehead, according to Adam Caplan of the Inside the Birds podcast. Caplan went so far as to predict Reagor will 'not only lead the Eagles receivers in receptions but also in snaps (in 2020).' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Reagor is still going to learn behind Desean Jackson at the Z position, but if he pops in early season games, he won't have trouble becoming a core part of the Eagles pass offense. He will have enough early opportunity and upside to be worth a pick in redraft leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [LAC - Several options for LT job]( Source: Chargers Wire - Gavino Borquez Los Angeles Chargers OT Sam Tevi, OT Trey Pipkins, OT Storm Norton and OG Forrest Lamp are expected to be candidates for the starting left tackle job during training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Chargers traded away Russell Okung for Trai Turner in the offseason to bolster the running back, but the tackles are still in a bad way and the team chose to take Justin Herbert over an instant starter at tackle, then traded their second and third to get back in the first for a linebacker, Kenneth Murray of Oklahoma. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [KC - Two safeties may compete for spot]( Source: ChiefsWire - Charles Goldman Kansas City Chiefs S Rodney Clemons and S Andrew Soroh may compete for one roster spot during training camp if S Juan Thornhill (knee) has to start the regular season on the Physically Unable to Perform list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Chiefs hope Thornhill will be ready, but as a long term piece and on a team that is looking to go back to the Super Bowl, they won't risk his health and availability later in the season to rush him back to the field. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [PHI - WR DeSean Jackson in great shape](=) Source: Inside the Birds - Adam Caplan Philadelphia Eagles WR [DeSean Jackson]( is in 'the best shape of his life,' according to Adam Caplan of the Inside the Birds podcast. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jackson has been an excellent fantasy receiver the last two years when healthy, but last year he was basically only on the field for one game. That has been more than priced into his cost and he's certainly worth a late pick (where he has been going) in redraft leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [DAL - Two will compete for No. 2 TE job]() Source: CowboysWire - Julius Settles Sr. Dallas Cowboys TEs [Blake Bell]( and [Dalton Schultz]( will compete for the No. 2 tight end job during training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Blake Jarwin will be the #1 and he should be on late-round target lists. He had a lot of big plays in a limited role behind Jason Witten last year and should benefit from facing defenses that are concerned with containing Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys stellar wide receiver trio. [BUF - Coach confident in QB Matt Barkley](=) Source: Rochester Democrat and Chronicle - Sal Maiorana Buffalo Bills QB [Matt Barkley]( is expected to be the No. 2 quarterback this season, and head coach Sean McDermott said he has confidence in Barkley. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That should end any talk of fifth-round round Jake Fromm potentially costing Barkley a roster spot. Barkley can keep the pass offense semi-functional if he is called on, which is possible since Josh Allen shows no regard for his health when he is outside of the pocket. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [LVR - DT Maliek Collins expected to start](=) Source: RaidersWire - Marcus Mosher Las Vegas Raiders DT Maliek Collins is expected to be one of the starting defensive tackles this upcoming season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Collins showed potential as a quick off of the snap penetrator with the Cowboys and could provide much needed interior pass rush help. He should be monitored in IDP leagues that require a defensive tackle starter. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [PIT - RB Benny Snell worked for his yards](=) Source: ProFootballReference.com Pittsburgh Steelers RB [Benny Snell]('s 1.2 yards before contact were tied for the fewest in the NFL in 2019, but he was tied for fifth with 2.8 yards after contact. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is an indictment of the line and a sign that Snell might have more to his game this year with a quarterback that will force defenses to honor the pass, but he is still not an essential hold in dynasty leagues with the addition of Anthony McFarland in the fourth round of the draft. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [CLE - RB Nick Chubb successful after contact]() Source: ProFootballFocus.com Cleveland Browns RB [Nick Chubb]( has averaged 4.2 yards per carry after contact over the last two seasons. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Chubb is set up for the best year of his career with a wide zone run-based offense under new head coach Kevin Stefanski and big upgrades at both tackle positions. He's worth a late first round pick. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [DEN - McTelvin Agim to be a rotational player]() Source: Broncos Wire - Jon Heath Denver Broncos DT McTelvin Agim will be part of a rotation on the defensive line this upcoming season, but defensive coordinator Ed Donatell said he expects Agim to provide interior pass rush on passing downs. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With Von Miller and Bradley Chubb on the edge the interior pass rushers should have a better time of it in the Vic Fangio defense. Agim could end up having value down the line in deep IDP leagues that require a defensive tackle in the starting lineup. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [TEN - RB Derrick Henry productive after contact]() Source: ProFootballFocus.com Tennessee Titans RB [Derrick Henry]( has averaged 4.5 yards per carry after contact over the last two seasons. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A lot of that is coming on chunk plays once Henry breaks into the second level of the defense. He could set career highs this year if Ryan Tannehill plays 16 games. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks.
