[Sign Up Here.]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [CAR - WR Curtis Samuel to be used in space]( Source: Charlotte Observer - Alaina Getzenberg Carolina Panthers WR [Curtis Samuel]( is expected to be used in space all around the field, according to offensive coordinator Joe Brady. 'Curtis is going to be critical to success,' Brady said. 'Curtis is the one that I can't wait to see him do what he does on the field. Curtis is a playmaker. He fits the mold of what we're looking for in this type of offense, a guy that you can utilize all around the field and get the ball in the hands and good things happen. I think you saw stuff last year that shows that he can be a big-play wide receiver, down the field. We're getting the ball in space and I'm excited for him to take the next leap.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Samuel played much, much better than his stats indicate last year. If Teddy Bridgewater can find and hit him deep more often, or if Brady makes more use of Samuel than Scott Turner did last year, Samuel will be a huge value at his very low ADP. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [PIT - Cam Heyward patient on contract]() Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Joe Rutter Pittsburgh Steelers DE Cameron Heyward said he's remaining patient in his quest for a new contract. The team has yet to sign any of their rookies, and Heyward is understanding of that in the COVID-19 crisis. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Heyward is going to get a huge contract, one the Steelers might not be able to provide with no cap room and a lot of players with expiring contracts on the roster. He will lose Javon Hargrave this year but get back Stephon Tuitt and should be considered an everyweek start in IDP leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NYJ - Denzel Mims agrees to $5.4M deal]( Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta New York Jets WR Denzel Mims on Friday, June 19, agreed to a four-year, $5.4 million contract, according to a source. The deal includes $3 million in guarantees. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mims should have a chance to be a starter with a good camp and preseason. Josh Doctson and Vyncint Smith are his main competitors for playing time and Breshad Perriman should be the starter on the other side of the formation. He has great size, speed, and athleticism, but needs refinement as a route runner. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [CHI - Darnell Mooney praised as explosive]() Source: The Athletic - Kevin Fishbain Chicago Bears WR Darnell Mooney is drawing praise from wide receivers coach [Mike Furrey](. 'He's gonna probably be one of the most explosive guys that we have in our room in regard to matching his speed with his agility,' Furrey said of Mooney in an interview published Friday, June 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bears offense has an opening for a speed receiver after they didn't bring back Taylor Gabriel. Mooney fits the ball, but he might not be ready for significant snaps after the offseason was cancelled due to coronvirus. Ted Ginn and Trevor Davis were also signed this offseason and could run some vertical routes if Mooney isn't in the coaches circle of trust at the end of camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [IND - QB Philip Rivers a big-time passer?]() Source: Pro Football Focus Indianapolis Colts QB [Philip Rivers]( in 2019 tied for second in the AFC with the Cleveland Browns' [Baker Mayfield]( and the Kansas City Chiefs' [Patrick Mahomes]( with 27 big-time throws (Pro Football Focus' highest-graded throws on precise downfield passes). [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rivers also made a lot of mistakes on downfield throws last year and appeared to be in decline. Hopefully a better offensive line and strong running game helps him become more efficient. Mayfield's number is encouraging in an otherwise discouraging season. Mahomes would have led the league in this stat if he had played 16 games. [SF - WR Richie James suffers broken wrist]() Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo San Francisco 49ers WR [Richie James]( (wrist) broke a bone in his wrist while training recently, according to sources, and is expected to be sidelined at least two months. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] James wasn't guaranteed a roster spot with a deep 49ers group at wide receiver, but his return game contributions gave him a big edge. This could doom him to the PUP list to open the season, or injured reserve. With James and Deebo Samuel both out through camp and most if not all of the preseason, the 49ers could be in the market for a veteran receiver. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [SEA - Colby Parkinson rehabbing broken foot]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Darin Gantt Seattle Seahawks TE Colby Parkinson (foot) had surgery June 2 to repair a broken fifth metatarsal in his foot and has been rehabbing since, according to a report Friday, June 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Parkinson is a candidate for the PUP list at least, if not injured reserve, with Greg Olsen, Jacob Hollister, and Will Dissly on the roster at tight end. He could play a larger role in 2021, but this will slow his development. Parkinson's game is basically that of an oversized slot receiver, so remember his name in deep and tight end dynasty leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [HOU - QB Deshaun Watson a downfield passing ace]() Source: Pro Football Focus Houston Texans QB [Deshaun Watson]( led the AFC with 28 big-time throws (Pro Football Focus' highest-graded throws on precise downfield passes) in 2019. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watson is going to have to do even more of the work on third down with DeAndre Hopkins traded to Arizona. We'll see who emerges as his go-to target on key plays out of Will Fuller, Brandin Cooks, Randall Cobb, and Kenny Stills. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [PIT - Several may compete for one spot]( Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Chris Adamski Pittsburgh Steelers WRs [Amara Darboh](, [Deon Cain](, Saeed Blacknall, Anthony Johnson and Quadree Henderson may compete for one roster spot during training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cain has the highest ceiling after being claimed from the Colts last year. Darboh went in the third round of 2017 draft. Blacknall played in the XFL and has an intriguing size/speed combination. Johnson was highly productive in college but didn't stick with the Bucs as an undrafted free agent last year. Henderson has the most value on special teams. If you're going to roster one in your dynasty league, make it Cain.
