[BAL - QB Lamar Jackson escapes tumble unscathed](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens QB [Lamar Jackson]( tumbled over a jet ski on the beach in a video posted on social media, landing awkwardly but escaping the situation free of injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Yeah, that's a video that made Ravens fans hearts skip a beat. Jackson was playing beach football and ran towards what must have been the pylon for the 'end zone' which was a jet ski parked on the edge of the water. Thank goodness he's okay. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott tests positive for COVID-19](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Dallas Cowboys RB [Ezekiel Elliott]( has tested positive for COVID-19, according to his agent, Rocky Arceneaux. Elliott is 'feeling good,' per his representation. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Other reports have indicated that several Cowboys and Texans have tested positive for COVID-19. Elliott is feeling good and that's a great sign. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [CHI - RB Tarik Cohen part of the plan](=) Source: Chicago Sun-Times - Patrick Finley Chicago Bears RB [Tarik Cohen]( is part of the team's plans in the offseason to try to restore his performance after he averaged just 5.77 yards per reception last season. A player has only caught 70 balls and averaged fewer yards once in NFL history. Cohen also had nine drops. Cohen said his body deteriorated more - and faster - toward the end of the season. His hips were tight and, because of that, his lower back hurt. Cohen said he has been doing yoga and stretching more often this offseason. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll see if the Bears offense looks different in 2020. They didn't get as much as they wanted last year from either Cohen or his backfield mate David Montgomery. The team is going to have a competition for the starting quarterback position so perhaps Nick Foles (if he wins the job) can help this team perform at a higher level on offense. Cohen is a RB4 for Fantasy GMs in PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [NE - QB Colin Kaepernick unlikely to Patriots](=) Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss Free-agent QB [Colin Kaepernick]( (49ers) is unlikely to sign with the New England Patriots, in the opinion of beat writer Mike Reiss. Reiss believes if you see Kaepernick in a New England uniform, it's because somebody above head coach Bill Belichick on the Patriots totem pole made the move. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That means Robert Kraft would have to make the call to add Kaepernick. The Patriots are moving on from Tom Brady this year and we'll see Jarrett Stidham compete with Brian Hoyer for the starting job. Kaepernick has been trying to get back into the league for years, and we'll see if someone finally gives him a shot this season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BUF - Zack Moss under contract]() Source: BuffaloBills.com - Maddy Glab Buffalo Bills third-round draft choice RB Zack Moss signed a four-year contract with the Buffalo Bills Monday, June 15. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moss has a fine three-down skill set and does a good job with his physical tools. He's a tough runner who can catch cleanly out of the backfield. Moss forced a whopping 89 missed tackles in 2019 (2nd in the FBS) and he broke 33 tackles on 66 catches in his college career. He lacks elite-level speed but he moves efficiently and changes direction without losing much speed. [GB - QB Aaron Rodgers good on deep throws]() Source: ProFootballFocus.com Green Bay Packers QB [Aaron Rodgers]( recorded 1,222 yards, 12 touchdowns and two interceptions on passes of traveled at least 20 yards during the 2019 regular season and postseason. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rodgers is so good on these throws because he's always looking to attack. He's got a gunslinger's mentality and loves to challenge defenders deep. The Packers could have done more this offseason to upgrade his WR corps, but Rodgers will make the most of what he has to work with. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [SF - Kyle Shanahan receives long-term extension]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan agreed to terms on a six-year contract extension with the 49ers that will run through the 2025 season, according to sources. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Shanahan has really turned things around with the 49ers. They were in the Super Bowl last year, falling short of a championship, but the team is still in a championship window. The extension replaces the final three years of his previous contract. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [SEA - QB Russell Wilson successful on play action]() Source: ProFootballFocus.com Seattle Seahawks QB [Russell Wilson]( threw for 1,545 yards, 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions on play-action passes during the 2019 regular season and postseason. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wilson also completed 71.3 percent of play-action passes in 2019. The Seahawks could use more passing on first down and otherwise more offense running through Wilson this year. He is often available outside of the top five quarterback, but he could finish in the top three if pass attempts go up for the second straight year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [KC - QB Patrick Mahomes outstanding on deep passes]() Source: ProFootballFocus.com Kansas City Chiefs QB [Patrick Mahomes]( recorded 1,141 yards, 14 touchdowns and two interceptions on passes of traveled at least 20 yards during the 2019 regular season and postseason. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mahomes is one of the best at firing passes deep down the field. Part of that success is due to the high-quality targets like Tyreek Hill but a large part is just the skill set he has. Mahomes has great anticipation as a thrower and does a good job placing passes correctly and in stride to maximize yards after the catch. He's the best quarterback in the game, and it's a joy to watch Mahomes play. We look forward to his QB1 production for Fantasy GMs once again in 2020.
