The Rookie Scouting Portfolio (RSP) went deeper, saw the elite talent, and urged fantasy players to covet both. [Matt Waldman's RSP]( has helped fantasy owners go deep and dominate with the likes of Mahomes, Chubb, A.J. Brown, and Lamar Jackson since 2006. A 2-in-1 fantasy-focused draft guide, the RSP covers over 150 rookies at the skill positions: - Pre-Draft & Post-Draft Rankings - Post-Draft ADP - Analysis Post-Draft Fantasy Cheatsheet - Combined 3-Yr Rookie Rankings - Positional Skill Analysis Player Profiles - Monthly Newsletter (June-December) download the 2020 RSP today. --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger throwing passes]( Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra Pittsburgh Steelers QB [Ben Roethlisberger]( (elbow) recently worked out with RB [James Conner](, WR [JuJu Smith-Schuster]( and WR [Ryan Switzer]( and was throwing passes during the workout. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for the Steelers here. Roethlisberger was lost for the season in 2019 after just two weeks. He's spent around nine months on the road to recovery so far. We expect Roethlisberger to get eased into action in training camp and the preseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [IND - QB Philip Rivers expected to stay?](=) Source: CNHI Sports Indiana - George Bremer Updating previous reports, Indianapolis Colts QB [Philip Rivers]( is expected to stay with the team for more than one year, according to head coach Frank Reich. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Let's see how Rivers plays this season before penciling him in for the 2021 season. The Colts nabbed the veteran coming off one of the most turnover-filled seasons of his pro career. Is Rivers done or can he bounce back and play better football in 2020? That's the big question that needs to be answered. If Rivers looks like he can still play at a high level, then of course the Colts would keep him around. If not, then they'll have to move on in a different direction. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [BAL - QB Lamar Jackson productive from pocket]() Source: ProFootballFocus.com Baltimore Ravens QB [Lamar Jackson]( threw 25 touchdowns from the pocket in 2019, which ranked first among quarterbacks. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jackson is dangerous as a runner and more lethal as a passer than some still want to give him credit for. We should see him continue to throw with accuracy from the pocket this season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [BAL - QB Lamar Jackson successful at avoiding tackles]() Source: ProFootballFocus.com Baltimore Ravens QB [Lamar Jackson]( forced 42 missed tackles this past season, which ranked first among quarterbacks in the NFL. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] In other news, water is wet. Jackson is one of the most elusive quarterbacks to ever play this game. He's a more developed passer than some want to give him credit for, but Jackson is going to continue as an incredibly dangerous runner in 2020. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- FOOTBALLGUYS PICKS Get it here. --------------------------------------------------------------- Get it here. --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [IND - RB Nyheim Hines to be involved in passing game]( Source: The Indianapolis Star - Joel A. Erickson Indianapolis Colts RB [Nyheim Hines]( will be involved in the passing game and could catch as many as 10 passes in a game this upcoming season, according to head coach Frank Reich. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Catching passes is what Hines does best. The Colts have Marlon Mack and rookie Jonathan Taylor as the lead backs to grind down defenses on the ground. Hines should play on passing downs and could be a favorite target in the way that Austin Ekeler was for Philip Rivers with the Chargers. In two seasons in the NFL, Hines has 107 receptions. We're projecting him for around 40 catches in 2020. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [LAC - LAC considered adding QB Cam Newton](=) Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra Free-agent QB [Cam Newton]( (Panthers) was considered by the Los Angeles Chargers, but head coach Anthony Lynn said the team is confident in QBs [Tyrod Taylor]( and Justin Herbert. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Chargers have a strong roster built on both sides of the ball, and they can win a lot of games with a quarterback like Tyrod Taylor. They'll see 2020 first-round pick Justin Herbert work as a developmental quarterback and perhaps franchise quarterback for the future. Newton is waiting for a chance with a new team but he might have to wait until someone gets hurt in camp or the preseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [LAR - WR Cooper Kupp sure-handed in 2019]( Source: ProFootballReference.com Los Angeles Rams WR [Cooper Kupp]( caught 94 of his 134 targets in 2019, good for a reception rate of 70.1 percent. Only New Orleans Saints WR [Michael Thomas]( had a better percentage (80.5) among qualifying wide receivers (at least 130 targets). [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kupp has always been a sure-handed target and that's going to continue in 2020. Fantasy GMs are taking Kupp off the board at WR8 (3.01) in 12-team PPR leagues. Last year in standard-scoring leagues, Kupp finished the year as the no.4 fantasy receiver. His 10 receiving touchdowns from 2019 will be difficult to reproduce, but he's still a must-start every week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [BUF - WR Stefon Diggs emerging as a deep threat last season]() Source: Sports Info Solutions Buffalo Bills WR [Stefon Diggs](' average depth of target in 2019 with the Minnesota Vikings was 14.8 yards - a six-yard increase from the 2018 campaign. Over his first four NFL seasons, it was no higher than 11.3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Diggs was great as a deep threat and should continue to be that for the Bills. We'll see if QB Josh Allen does a better job of connecting on deep throws. He's got a big arm but his accuracy is a bit erratic when throwing downfield. Diggs will make him look better, but Allen also needs to set up his receivers better with more accurate throws.
