[NFL - Javon Kinlaw dealing with knee issue](#16) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [SF - Positive results for RB Tevin Coleman](=) Source: The Athletic - Matt Barrows San Francisco 49ers RB [Tevin Coleman]('s (shoulder) MRI results were positive, but Coleman did not participate in any practices this week, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Coleman was reportedly in extreme pain and he's truly questionable for the game. Raheem Mostert should get ample opportunity to reprise the show he put on in the NFC title game and Matt Breida might be called upon. Jeff Wilson should also be active for the game and could play ahead of Breida if Breida has any ball security issues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [MIA - WR Albert Wilson may be asked to rework deal](=) Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson Miami Dolphins WR [Albert Wilson]( likely will be asked to restructure his contract this offseason if he wants to remain with the team. The Dolphins would save $9.5 million in salary cap space if they release Wilson. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wilson has had trouble staying healthy since the team signed him. With Allen Hurns, Preston Williams, and DeVante Parker under contract for multiple years, Wilson might be seen as superfluous. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [GB - QB Aaron Rodgers on to Year 2]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper Green Bay Packers QB [Aaron Rodgers]( had a 'really, really good ' first year in head coach Matt LaFleur's offense, general manager Brian Gutekunst said Friday, Jan. 24, and the GM is looking forward to the encore in 2020. I'm really excited to see what he can do in Year Two,' Gutekunst said. 'I know Matt talks a lot about what [Matt Ryan]( did in Year Two, the comparatives there. I'm really excited to see where him and the offense can go.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rodgers had a terrible year for fantasy and didn't come close to living up to his top five quarterback ADP. He'll fall in drafts this year, but should still be drafted as a starter. If he produces like he did last year, he won't be a fantasy starter in 2020. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [DAL - VP says QB Dak Prescott staying](=) Source: USA TODAY Sports - Jori Epstein Dallas Cowboys QB [Dak Prescott](, a pending free agent, will be re-signed and remain the team's quarterback, Cowboys vice president Will McClay said Thursday, Jan. 23. 'We expect Dak to be our quarterback,' McClay said. 'If the owner/GM says we're going to get it done, he signs the checks. So we'll get that done.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Prescott's price surely has gone up since last year if only because the salary cap went up. The Cowboys are likely to sign him and Amari Cooper to long term deals and let cornerback Byron Jones walk in free agency. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CLE - RB Kareem Hunt had pot in car]( Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich Cleveland Browns RB [Kareem Hunt]('s car was found to contain marijuana following a traffic stop Tuesday, Jan. 21, in which Hunt was issued a speeding citation in Ohio. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hunt wasn't charged with drug possession, but that might not be material to the league if they want to assess a suspension to Hunt. He is already in the league program because of a previous personal conduct suspension and it's possible he might miss a game or more in 2020 because of this incident. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [GB - TE Jace Sternberger impresses GM]( Source: Green Bay Press-Gazette - Ryan Wood Green Bay Packers TE [Jace Sternberger]( impressed general manager Brian Gutekunst with his progress after he returned from the Reserve/Injured list late in the season. 'He can be one of those, as he develops, who can play from a lot of different places and be a matchup problem,' Gutekunst said Friday, Jan. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sternberger has great speed and ability to rip the seam as a receiving tight end. He should be on 2020 fantasy sleep lists with Aaron Rodgers settling into Matt LaFleur's offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [GB - GM: TE Jimmy Graham still wants to play](=) Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky Green Bay Packers TE [Jimmy Graham]( wants to play in 2020, general manager Brian Gutekunst said Friday, Jan. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gutekunst didn't say whether he would be playing with the Packers if he comes back, but he has been a massive bust as a free agent signing and the team should be pushing to get 2019 third round pick Jace Sternberger on the field (or maybe even 2017 UDFA converted wide receiver Robert Tonyan) over Graham. If they release him, they'll have $3.66M in dead cap but avoid paying a $7.45M salary. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DAL - George Edwards hired by Dallas](=) Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram - Clarence E. Hill Jr. Former Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards was hired by the Dallas Cowboys Friday, Jan. 24. He'll work with the linebackers, but his role will be larger than that, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He was the team's linebacker coach from 1998-2001 and will have two very talented starters to work with in Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch. Edwards joins a staff under Mike McCarthy with many very experienced coaches who have been at positions higher than the one they will occupy with Dallas. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [MIN - Drew Petzing departing](=) Source: ESPN.com - Ben Goessling Minnesota Vikings wide receivers coach Drew Petzing will not return in 2020, according to ESPN's Ben Goessling. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Vikings are going to have as much coaching turnover as any team that didn't hire a new head coach this offseason. Petzing is going to Cleveland to join his offensive coordinator from Minnesota, Kevin Stefanski, who is now the Browns head coach. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [NFL - Neville Gallimore turning heads]( Source: NFL.com - Chase Goodbread Oklahoma DT Neville Gallimore 'flashed some pass rush' during drills at the Senior Bowl, according to an AFC scout. 'He's pretty quick and several guys had trouble with him,' the scout said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gallimore is twitchy for an interior defensive lineman and can generate interior pressure and disruption better than some of his peers. He projects as a three-down player and should be gone in the first two rounds. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [NFL - Chase Claypool boosting stock?]( Source: NFL.com - Chase Goodbread Notre Dame WR Chase Claypool has 'pushed himself' into Round 2 of the 2020 NFL Draft with his performance at the Senior Bowl this week, according to Chase Goodbread of NFL.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Claypool's size, hands, and fluid movement made his week in Mobile. Some have speculated that he could be moved to tight end and become a bigger mismatch weapon. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [NFL - Collin Johnson stands out](=) Source: DraftWire - Gavino Borquez Texas WR Collin Johnson stood out during drills at the Senior Bowl Tuesday, Jan. 22, because of his 'separation ability' and 'vertical speed' during drills at the Senior Bowl. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Johnson had a down senior year, but his 6'6" 220 size and natural receiving skills will still make him draftable in a strong wide receiver class. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [NFL - Justin Herbert making statement]() Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman Oregon QB Justin Herbert has been 'the best quarterback' at the Senior Bowl, according to Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com, and Twentyman said Herbert has been able to 'make all the throws' during drills. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Herbert has impressed this week according to most reports, which means he could be a trade up target at 3 (Detroit) or 4 (New York Giants). Miami, the Chargers, and Panthers are all possibly in the market for a franchise quarterback and they select 5th, 6th, and 7th. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [OAK - RB Josh Jacobs tough to tackle]() Source: RaidersWire - Marcus Mosher Oakland Raiders RB [Josh Jacobs]( led all running backs with 69 broken tackles in the 2019 season, according to Pro Football Focus. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jacobs performed well above his actual fantasy point output in 2019. If the Raiders get him more involved in the passing game next year, he could take a step to everyweek fantasy RB1 status. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [MIA - QB Josh Rosen still in Miami's plans?]( Source: Sun-Sentinel - Omar Kelly Miami Dolphins QB [Josh Rosen]( hasn't been written off, according to general manager Chris Grier, and Grier said he saw improvement in Rosen during practice throughout the year. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Grier should be saying this whether they believe in Rosen or not. If they don't, there still could be a market for a third day pick in a trade of Rosen to another team that wants to develop him, so there's nothing to gain by saying the team has given up on Rosen. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [NFL - Javon Kinlaw dealing with knee issue]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero South Carolina DT Javon Kinlaw (knee) will miss the rest of Senior Bowl week because of tendinitis in one of his knees, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kinlaw has already shown out as one of the top 3-5 players in Mobile this week and could be a top 10 pick and the second interior defensive lineman off of the board after Auburn's Derrick Brown.
