[CHI - Chicago interested in Adam Trautman](#19) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [MIN - Gary Kubiak to be OC for Vikes](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Minnesota Vikings assistant head coach/offensive adviser Gary Kubiak was promoted to offensive coordinator Thursday, Jan. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Vikings needed to do something since Kevin Stefanski took off to be the head coach of the Browns. This move isn't going to change much on the Vikings offense. They'll still use RB Dalvin Cook and the rushing attack to set up play-action passing with QB Kirk Cousins. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NYG - QB Eli Manning not on retired list](=) Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Mike Florio New York Giants QB [Eli Manning]( is retiring, but he won't be eligible to be placed on the reserve/retired list due to his expiring contract this offseason. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's unlikely, but this means Manning technically would be eligible to sign and play for the Giants or any other team in 2020, free of restriction and/or having to go through waivers. Keep this in mind if some team needs QB help down the 2020 stretch. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [CLE - WR Odell Beckham Jr. to meet with Kevin Stefanski](=) Source: WKYC.com - Ben Axelrod Cleveland Browns WR [Odell Beckham]( Jr. will sit down with new head coach Kevin Stefanski Thursday, Jan. 23, to discuss Stefanski's plan for personal conduct. 'I'm looking forward to sitting down with Odell face to face,' Stefanski said. 'I haven't had the chance to do that yet and I get the chance to do that (Thursday). And at that point, that's when I can start laying out my expectations for Odell and all of our players.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Beckham was caught on video at the College Football Playoff Championship Game earlier this month appearing to hand out cash to LSU Tigers players, as well as appearing to slap a security officer on the butt in the locker room. Charges had been filed against Beckham for the latter incident, but they were later dropped. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [SF - RB Tevin Coleman doesn't practice with team]( Source: Chiefs.com San Francisco 49ers RB [Tevin Coleman]( (shoulder) didn't participate in practice Thursday, Jan. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Coleman was seen running off to the side according to earlier reports. We'll see what he can do next week in practice leading up to the Super Bowl. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [KC - WR Demarcus Robinson back to full practice]( Source: Chiefs.com Kansas City Chiefs WR [Demarcus Robinson]( (illness) returned to a full practice Thursday, Jan. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Robinson will be good to go for the Super Bowl. He will get some time as a reserve receiver for the Chiefs once again. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [KC - WR Mecole Hardman puts in another full practice]( Source: Chiefs.com Kansas City Chiefs WR [Mecole Hardman]( (back) practiced in full once again Thursday, Jan. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hardman's speed is going to be a big asset for the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. We'll see him out there going deep against the 49ers in a little over a week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [KC - TE Travis Kelce sits out practice]( Source: Chiefs.com Kansas City Chiefs TE [Travis Kelce]( (knee) didn't participate in practice Thursday, Jan. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Let's get to practice next week and see where Kelce is at. The Chiefs are wisely being cautious with the superstar tight end as the team prepares for the Super Bowl. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [SF - RB Tevin Coleman running](=) Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco San Francisco 49ers RB [Tevin Coleman]( (shoulder) was seen running on a side field ahead of the team's practice Thursday, Jan. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Coleman's shoulder injury will have to be monitored next week. The 49ers would use him in the Super Bowl as a big part of their RBBC if Coleman is ready to play. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DEN - OLB Bradley Chubb expected for offseason work]( Source: The Denver Post - Ryan O'Halloran Denver Broncos LB Bradley Chubb (knee) is making really good progress in his recovery, according to general manager John Elway Thursday, Jan. 23, and should be ready for organized team activities In May or the offseason program in April. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Broncos defense could look much more ferocious in 2020 with the return of Chubb. While Von Miller had a disappointing 2019, his stats could improve next season with Chubb getting a lot of attention on the opposite side of the formation. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [KC - Chris Jones plans to play every snap in Super Bowl]( Source: NFL Network - James Palmer Kansas City Chiefs DL Chris Jones (calf) said Thursday, Jan. 23, he '1,000 percent' believes he'll be able to play every snap of Super Bowl LIV Sunday, Feb. 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones is a playmaker and one of the best in the league at his position. Having him out there will complicate what the 49ers want to do on offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [SF - RB Raheem Mostert excelled after contact]() Source: Pro Football Focus San Francisco 49ers RB [Raheem Mostert]( gained 158 of his 220 rushing yards after contact in the NFC Championship Game win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Jan. 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mostert had a monster game against the Packers. He could do more in the Super Bowl too depending on the health status of Tevin Coleman (shoulder). It was the most yards after contact by a running back in the postseason since 2006. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [OAK - QB Derek Carr tired of rumors](=) Source: ESPN.com - Paul Gutierrez Oakland Raiders QB [Derek Carr]( is tiring of the quarterback rumors surrounding the team -- the latest resulting from a photo taken of New England Patriots QB [Tom Brady](, a pending free agent, and Raiders owner Mark Davis talking at Jan. 18 UFC fight in Las Vegas. 'C'mon man, when's it going to end?' Carr asked. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Everyone is wondering where Brady is going to play in 2020. It would actually make a lot of sense if the Raiders made a run at Brady when he hits the open market. Carr is going to have to get used to the rumor mill, and it already seems like his time as the Raiders starter could be done in the near future. Only time will tell. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [NO - QB Drew Brees' decision on hold]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper New Orleans Saints QB [Drew Brees]( isn't rushing his decision on whether he'll return for another season. I wanted to give it at least a few weeks, months, postseason, just to take a deep breath and decompress a little bit and get some time with the family and then just reassess,' Brees said Wednesday, Jan. 22, during an interview at the Pro Bowl. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brees may not quite be what he used to be but by no means is he done from a physical or abilities standpoint. He'll have to make a decision before the start of free agency in early March. This quarterback market is about to get crazy in the NFL. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [CIN - WR A.J. Green not keen on tag]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Darin Gantt Cincinnati Bengals WR [A.J. Green](, a pending free agent, could receive the franchise tag from the Bengals this offseason. 'The franchise tag is not the best thing,' Green said in a TV interview. 'But like I said, I'm not turning down 18 million dollars. It just happens. When you run a business, you have to make difficult decisions. But I feel like when you put that on me, then that's what you're showing me, you only want me for one year. And I always play with a chip on my shoulder.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bengals could use the tag on Green just to buy more time to get a new long-term contract done. If tagged, the two sides would have until mid-July to work something out. We'll see if a contract can be agreed upon before the tag would need to be placed on the veteran receiver. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [DAL - WR Amari Cooper seeks to stay in Dallas]() Source: NFL Network - Jane Slater Dallas Cowboys WR [Amari Cooper]( said Thursday, Jan. 23, he hasn't had recent talks with his agent about his expiring contract, but said he wants to remain in Dallas a long time. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Cowboys have money to hand out to guys like Cooper, CB Byron Jones and QB Dak Prescott and the franchise tag could be in place for someone set to hit free agency. Cooper was a bright spot on the Cowboys offense and is in line for a big deal if/when the Cowboys can find a way. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [GB - TE Jimmy Graham unlikely to be back in 2020](=) Source: Green Bay Press-Gazette - Pete Dougherty Green Bay Packers TE [Jimmy Graham]( is expected to be released during the offseason, in the opinion of The Green Bay Press-Gazette's Pete Dougherty, who called the prospective move a 'given.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Not a terribly surprising take here. Graham has one year remaining on his deal. Releasing him would free up $8 million in cap room. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [OAK - Jordan Love meets with Raiders](=) Source: Las Vegas Review Journal - Vincent Bonsignore The Oakland Raiders met with Utah State QB Jordan Love at this week's Senior Bowl, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal's Vincent Bonsignore. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Love is likely to be a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft. The Raiders have the No.12 overall pick and there's a chance that Love won't be on the board by the time they select. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [NFL - Denzel Mims highly impressive in Mobile]() Source: Pro Football Network Baylor WR Denzel Mims was 'uncoverable all day long' and arguably the best player on the North team during Senior Bowl practice Wednesday, Jan. 22, according to Pro Football Network's AJ Schulte. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mims is working his way up draft boards with his performance in Mobile. He's fast and was a decorated track athlete in college. Mims has great hands and body control as a receiver. We could see him work his way into the late first round of the 2020 NFL draft. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [CHI - Chicago interested in Adam Trautman]() Source: NFL.com - Chase Goodbread Dayton TE Adam Trautman said the Chicago Bears have shown early interest in him during the Senior Bowl practices. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's a move that would make sense for the Bears. Trautman is turning heads at the Senior Bowl with his size/speed combination. The Bears need tight end help because free agent Trey Burton and draft pick Adam Shaheen have not worked out as hoped.
