[PIT - RB James Conner unable to practice]() Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley Pittsburgh Steelers RB [James Conner]( (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Let's wait until Friday to see if Conner can practice by then. Jaylen Samuels would get a larger role if Conner has to miss any time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [GB - RB Aaron Jones, RB Jamaal Williams to get even work]( Source: Green Bay Press-Gazette - Ryan Wood Green Bay Packers RBs [Aaron Jones]( and [Jamaal Williams]( will split work in an effort to keep Jones fresh for later in the season, according to head coach Matt LaFleur Wednesday, Sept. 18, who said he wants to 'even up' touches between the pair. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Packers are at home to face the Broncos this week. Over two weeks, Broncos opponents have ran the ball more than they've passed the ball to keep that Denver pass rush at bay. Expect that to happen on Sunday with Jones perhaps having the most fantasy value. Jones could perform like a RB2 in Week 3, while Williams size and ability to punch it in from near the goal line could make him a deep flex play. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NO - QB Drew Brees looking at eight weeks](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating previous reports, New Orleans Saints QB [Drew Brees]( (thumb) is expected to be back within eight weeks. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The general reports seem to indicate this will be a six-week absence for Brees. Head coach Sean Payton said the team will not place Brees on the Reserve/Injured list. Teddy Bridgewater gets the nod with Brees out and we should see more from gadget QB Taysom Hill too. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [CAR - QB Cam Newton remains in a boot](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Carolina Panthers QB [Cam Newton]( (foot) remains in a walking boot Wednesday, Sept. 18. If he can practice soon, he has a chance to play in Week 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's only Wednesday but things are not trending in the right direction for Newton. If he misses the Week 3 game against the Cardinals, the Panthers would turn to Kyle Allen as their starter. Newton may not practice all week, so stay tuned here and downgrade Panthers receivers if Allen is the starter. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [IND - QB Chad Kelly waived]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Indianapolis Colts QB [Chad Kelly]( was waived Wednesday, Sept. 18, after serving a two-game suspension to open the season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kelly is now looking for another team to take a chance on him. The Colts have Brian Hoyer as their backup to Jacoby Brissett so they didn't need Kelly anymore. Kelly has a big arm and is athletic, but his off-field reputation cost him his spot with the Broncos last year. A numbers crunch sees the Colts move on from him but there should be a team or two interested in Kelly's services. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [BUF - RB Devin Singletary not on field]() Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown Buffalo Bills RB [Devin Singletary]( (hamstring) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Singletary is still day-to-day with this hamstring injury. The Bills will use Frank Gore as their starter and lead back. Singletary has been productive with a limited role, so he might get out there in Week 3 to play that similar role again. Let's see what he can do on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [PIT - QB Mason Rudolph has support of top WR](=) Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Joshua Axelrod Pittsburgh Steelers QB [Mason Rudolph](, who'll be making his first start in place of QB [Ben Roethlisberger]( (elbow) this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, has the support of No. 1 WR [JuJu Smith-Schuster](. 'It was unfortunate for our best player to go down ... but (Roethlisberger will) be around helping and supporting us. [Mason Rudolph]( is going to help us win a lot of games moving forward,' Smith-Schuster said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Steelers should have a plan for Rudolph to force-feed the ball to Smith-Schuster. Rudolph has no problem challenging a defense deep and could be a solid starter for the team. We are downgrading the Steelers offense, but it may not fall off a cliff as some are worried about. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [LAC - WR Mike Williams practices in full](=) Source: Chargers.com Los Angeles Chargers WR [Mike Williams]( (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's a good sign for Williams. He was able to play with this knee injury last week and he seems to be on track for Week 3. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders listed as limited](=) Source: DenverBroncos.com Denver Broncos WR [Emmanuel Sanders]( (non-injury) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It was just a veteran day of rest for Sanders. He looks like Joe Flacco's favorite target after two games. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [KC - No practice for RB LeSean McCoy]( Source: Chiefs.com Kansas City Chiefs RB [LeSean McCoy]( (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll see if McCoy can get to the practice field later in the week. McCoy is a little banged up as is Damien Williams. We might see more Darwin Thompson in Week 3. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [HOU - RB Carlos Hyde takes part in practice](=) Source: HoustonTexans.com Houston Texans RB [Carlos Hyde]( (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hyde is the lead back for the Texans and he's good to go for Week 3. He rushed 20 times for 90 yards in the Texans' 13-12, Week 2 win over the Jaguars. Hyde has RB3 or flex appeal this week against the Chargers. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [OAK - WR Tyrell Williams dealing with hip issue]( Source: Raiders.com Oakland Raiders WR [Tyrell Williams]( (hip) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams is banged up and he's playing Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes this week. That equals Williams being a WR3 or flex play for Fantasy GMs in Week 3. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [GB - TE Jimmy Graham doesn't practice Wednesday]() Source: Packers.com Green Bay Packers TE [Jimmy Graham]( (groin) didn't practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Graham is getting some rest here but he's a good play on Sunday if he plays against the Broncos. Denver's defense has historically struggled to cover tight ends, so don't forget about Graham in Week 3. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [CIN - TE Tyler Eifert receives day off](=) Source: The Athletic - Jay Morrison Cincinnati Bengals TE [Tyler Eifert]( (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We're just glad he's made it through a couple of games unscathed. Eifert has talent but he's one of the most oft-injured players in the league. He's got low-end TE2 upside against the Bills in Week 3. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [SEA - WR David Moore heading toward playing](=) Source: NBC Sports Northwest - Joe Fann Seattle Seahawks WR [David Moore]( (shoulder) is on track to play Sunday, Sept. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moore got a full week of practice in last week but the team felt he needed a bit more time before he returned to the playing field. He could play in Week 3 against the Saints. Moore could work as the No. 3 receiver for the Seahawks behind Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [NYG - WR Sterling Shepard a limited participant](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine New York Giants WR [Sterling Shepard]( (concussion) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Shepard is going through the concussion protocol. The Giants could use him on the field, especially with rookie QB Daniel Jones getting the start in Week 3. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [TB - QB Jameis Winston pops up on injury report, will start]() Source: SiriusXM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB [Jameis Winston]( (foot) appeared as a full participant on the injury report Wednesday, Sept. 18, but will start in Week 3 against the New York Giants. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Winston will start but Fantasy GMs aren't excited about starting him anymore. We'll see if he can stay healthy and show better production working under Bruce Arians. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [IND - WR T.Y. Hilton limited Wednesday](=) Source: Colts.com Indianapolis Colts WR [T.Y. Hilton]( (quad) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Let's see what Hilton looks like on Friday. Hilton will draw some Desmond Trufant against the Falcons in Week 3. Trufant is coming off a 2-interception game against the Eagles in Week 2. The matchup and Hilton being a little banged up make him a WR2 option for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [CAR - Limited practice for TE Greg Olsen]() Source: The Athletic - Joseph Person Carolina Panthers TE [Greg Olsen]( (back) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's the middle of the week, so the veteran is getting some rest. This back injury might have him limited all week. With Kyle Allen maybe starting for an injured Cam Newton, the Panthers could use Olsen out there on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [IND - RB Marlon Mack held out of practice](=) Source: Colts.com Indianapolis Colts RB [Marlon Mack]( (calf) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mack is a little banged up, so the team is giving him some rest. Let's see if Mack can get some work in on Friday. We'd see more Jordan Wilkins as a ball-carrier if Mack had to miss time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [MIA - QB Josh Rosen participates in full](=) Source: MiamiDolphins.com Miami Dolphins QB [Josh Rosen]( (knee) participated in full in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rosen is going to be the No. 2 quarterback behind Ryan Fitzpatrick again. That could change during the game and we could see Rosen play. Against a legit Cowboys defense, we're not expecting from either quarterback. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [BUF - TE Tyler Kroft takes part in practice](=) Source: BuffaloBills.com Buffalo Bills TE [Tyler Kroft]( (foot) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kroft is working his way back from the foot injury that has kept him out of regular season action so far in 2019. When he's a full-go, Kroft could push for the starting tight end job with Buffalo. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [SF - Jeffery Wilson scheduled for red-zone work](=) Source: ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner San Francisco 49ers RB [Jeff Wilson]( Jr. was scheduled to receive the team's red-zone work in Week 2, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan Monday, Sept, 17. 'I wouldn't say he's our designated red-zone back, but that was how we planned going into the game. ... We tried to do that when we got down there.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers have a three-headed backfield with Wilson, Raheem Mostert and starter Matt Breida. They all have fantasy value, but at varying levels and their workloads may change from week to week. Wilson has deep 'what the heck' flex value for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 24. [BUF - WR John Brown receives day off](=) Source: BuffaloBills.com Buffalo Bills WR [John Brown]( (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's just a day of rest here for the veteran. Brown has WR2 or flex appeal as a favorite target of Bills QB Josh Allen. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 25. [BAL - No practice for TE Mark Andrews](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens TE [Mark Andrews]( (foot) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's Wednesday so keep an eye on Andrews as the week of practice rolls on. We love what he can do for QB Lamar Jackson as one of his favorite targets. The Ravens are on the road this week in what could be a high-scoring game against the Chiefs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 26. [KC - RB Damien Williams out of practice](=) Source: ESPN.com - Adam Teicher Kansas City Chiefs RB [Damien Williams]( (knee) won't practice Wednesday, Sept. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams is banged up and so is LeSean McCoy (ankle). Check back on their practice status for Friday. Darwin Thompson would be the next man up if either Williams or McCoy (or both) have to miss time.
