1. [NO - QB Drew Brees out six weeks]()
Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
Updating previous reports, New Orleans Saints QB [Drew Brees]( (thumb) is expected to undergo thumb surgery as early as Monday, Sept. 16, and could miss six weeks.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Saints now turn things over to Teddy Bridgewater as their starter. He's a smart and accurate quarterback, so Bridgewater will know to keep WR Michael Thomas and RB Alvin Kamara as involved as possible. However, Fantasy GMs should be downgrading their projections for these top weapons. Without Brees, we might see an increased role for gadget QB Taysom Hill too.

2. [PIT - S Minkah Fitzpatrick moved to Pittsburgh]()
Source: DKPittsburghSports.com - Dejan Kovacevic
The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired CB Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Miami Dolphins on Monday, Sept. 16 in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This seems like a curious move for the Steelers with a team that needs offensive playmakers.

3. [DAL - WR Michael Gallup likely out 2-4 weeks](
Source: The Dallas Morning News - Calvin Watkins
Dallas Cowboys WR [Michael Gallup]( (knee) is expected to miss two to four weeks with a torn meniscus in his knee, according to the Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins via a source.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Gallup is not believed to have suffered any structural damage to his knee. While he's out, the Cowboys will turn to Devin Smith to stretch the field. That makes Smith a deep flex option for Fantasy GMs.

4. [NYG - NYG won't commit to QB Eli Manning in Week 3]()
Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan
New York Giants QB [Eli Manning]( was not immediately named the starter for Week 3 by head coach Pat Shurmur while meeting with reporters Monday, Sept. 16.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Manning's days are numbered as the Giants starter. They'll eventually turn things over to rookie Daniel Jones and it could be sooner rather than later. Stay tuned.

5. [PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger out for season](=)
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Pittsburgh Steelers QB [Ben Roethlisberger]( (elbow) will require surgery on his right elbow, and he'll miss the rest of the season.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Huge news for the Steelers with plenty of fantasy football implications. The team now turns things over to Mason Rudolph as their starting quarterback. Rudolph has a good arm and can stand tall in the pocket with pressure around him. From his performance in Week 2 after Roethlisberger was hurt, Rudolph will continue to feed WR JuJu Smith-Schuster and TE Vance McDonald. Always remember that WR James Washington was his college teammate at Oklahoma State. Buckle up Steelers fans, this season is going to be a wild ride with Rudolph at the helm.

6. [PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger plans to play again]()
Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Michael David Smith
Pittsburgh Steelers QB [Ben Roethlisberger]( (elbow) said he plans to play again after he recovers from his elbow surgery.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
That's good news considering how many times we've heard Roethlisberger hint about retirement. He'll miss all of the 2019 season and is under contract through the 2021 season.

7. [PHI - WR Alshon Jeffery's status uncertain](
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Philadelphia Eagles WR [Alshon Jeffery]( (calf) is dealing with a calf strain and his status for the next two games are uncertain.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Keep an eye on this situation. The injury is not considered serious, but the team plays two games in 10 days. That schedule could impact the usage ...or availability.. of Jeffery.

8. [PIT - RB James Conner expects to play in Week 3]()
Source: 93.7 The Fan - Jeff Hathhorn
Pittsburgh Steelers RB [James Conner]( (knee) said he expects to play in Week 3 and that he does not have any tears or serious problems in his knee.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Good news for the Steelers here. They'll be starting QB Mason Rudolph with Ben Roethlisberger out for the year. With Conner a bit banged up, the team might use Jaylen Samuels a bit more. This makes Conner more of a flex play or low-end RB2 for Fantasy GMs in Week 3.

9. [BUF - TE Tyler Kroft making progress]()
Source: The Athletic - Joe Buscaglia
Buffalo Bills TE [Tyler Kroft]( (foot) has made good progress over the last several weeks, but head coach Sean McDermott said he is not sure if Kroft will be available for Week 3.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Kroft has been inactive for both games so far this season. When he returns, Kroft could be a favorite target of QB Josh Allen as the team's starting tight end. He's not much of a fantasy asset with that role, but Kroft could help the team move the chains.

10. [BUF - RB Devin Singletary day-to-day]()
Source: The Athletic - Joe Buscaglia
Buffalo Bills RB [Devin Singletary]( (hamstring) is considered day-to-day because of the hamstring injury he suffered in Week 2.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Hamstring injuries can linger if not given enough time to properly heal. The Bills will be cautious with him and we'll get an update on him later in the week. Frank Gore is the starter but Singletary has looked really good with limited touches over the last two weeks.

11. [OAK - Hip injury for WR Tyrell Williams](=)
Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Scott Bair
Oakland Raiders WR [Tyrell Williams]( (hip) is dealing with a hip pointer, according to head coach Jon Gruden.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Williams should be limited in practice this week. The Raiders have a tough matchup against the Vikings in Week 3, and that means Williams will draw CB Xavier Rhodes if the hip pointer is not bad enough to keep him out of the game. Monitor this closely if you're considering Williams for your fantasy team.

12. [OAK - RB Josh Jacobs dealing with injury](=)
Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Scott Bair
Oakland Raiders RB [Josh Jacobs]( (groin) is dealing with a groin injury, according to head coach Jon Gruden.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Let's see what Jacobs can do during the week of practice. He's a low-end RB2 for Fantasy GMs as the Raiders lead back. The Vikings are a tough draw for the Raiders offense in Week 3.

13. [MIA - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to get Week 3 nod]()
Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley
Miami Dolphins QB [Ryan Fitzpatrick]( will get the start for Week 3 versus the Dallas Cowboys, although head coach Brian Flores made it clear to the media Monday, Sept. 16, that the team is 'evaluating all positions.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fitzpatrick was pulled from the game against the Patriots in Week 2. That's a real possibility every week, so we could see Josh Rosen against the Cowboys even if Fitzpatrick gets the starting nod.

14. [PHI - RB Corey Clement likely out 1-2 weeks](=)
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles RB [Corey Clement]( (shoulder) is expected to miss one to two weeks after suffering a shoulder injury in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Clement doesn't do much on offense in the Eagles jam-packed backfield. However, he does work as the team's kick returner. Rookie Miles Sanders took over after Clement was banged up on Sunday night.

15. [SEA - WR David Moore to practice this week](
Source: Seahawks Wire - Liz Mathews
Seattle Seahawks WR [David Moore]( (shoulder) 'has a chance' to play in Week 3 versus the New Orleans Saints, according to comments made by head coach Pete Carroll on Monday, Sept. 16.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We'll see if Moore can practice fully later in the week. If Moore is on the field for Seattle, he might work as the No. 3 wide receiver behind Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf. When he returns, it could negatively impact the snap count for a guy like Malik Turner.

16. [HOU - Laremy Tunsil expected to be fine for Week 3](
Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson
Houston Texans OT Laremy Tunsil (ankle) missed a handful of snaps due to an ankle injury in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars but was able to return. Head coach Bill O'Brien believes Tunsil's injury isn't 'all that serious' and that he will be able to play in Week 3 versus the Los Angeles Chargers.

17. [LAR - TE Tyler Higbee update](=)
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Los Angeles Rams TE [Tyler Higbee]( (lung) suffered a lung injury in Week 2 and was hospitalized as a precaution.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Higbee may not miss that much time with this injury. The team was concerned as he was coughing up blood after the game, thus the trip to the hospital. Gerald Everett would get more opportunity if Higbee has to miss some time.

18. [KC - RB LeSean McCoy having MRI](=)
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Kansas City Chiefs RB [LeSean McCoy]( (ankle) will have an MRI Monday, Sept. 16, after suffering an ankle injury in Week 2.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Keep an eye on this situation, especially with Damien Williams (knee) already banged up. The injury for McCoy didn't appear major, but they'll know more after the exam.
