[] INSIDE THIS ISSUE 1. [WAS - TE Jordan Reed expected to be ready for opener](#1) 2. [OAK - WR Antonio Brown finally at peace?](#2) 3. [ATL - WR Julio Jones likely 100 percent for Week 1](#3) 4. [KC - QB Chad Henne to undergo ankle surgery](#11) 12. [TB - WR Mike Evans returns to practice](#12) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [WAS - TE Jordan Reed expected to be ready for opener]() Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Redskins TE [Jordan Reed]( (concussion) is expected to available for the start of the regular season, according to head coach Jay Gruden. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We're not disputing Gruden here but Reed's long history of concussions has us very concerned for him. He has to be seen as a high-risk player here. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [OAK - WR Antonio Brown finally at peace?](=) Source: SiriusXM NFL Radio - Zig Fracassi Oakland Raiders WR [Antonio Brown]( (feet) is reportedly 'in a good place' with the team, according to his agent, who suggests all of the issues regarding his helmet and feet 'are behind him.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Let's hope that Brown is in a good place mentally and physically with their first regular season game (Week 1 at home versus the Broncos) right around the corner. Brown is a WR1 for Fantasy GMs and you can snare him at the ADP of WR10 (2.10) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [ATL - WR Julio Jones likely 100 percent for Week 1]( Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Kelsey Conway Atlanta Falcons WR [Julio Jones]( (foot) is expected to be a 'full go' for Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings, according to head coach Dan Quinn. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's what the team was aiming for as they give Jones rest in the preseason. Fantasy GMs are expecting big things from the Falcons offense in 2019, and Jones is obviously the centerpiece of the passing attack. Jones has a current ADP of WR3 (1.09) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [MIA - RB Kenyan Drake returns](=) Source: The Palm Beach Post - Joe Schad Miami Dolphins RB [Kenyan Drake]( (foot) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 26. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll see what the plan is with Drake, but we imagine the team is going to ease him into action. Kalen Ballage is the starter and Drake (when healthy) will likely serve as a change-of-pace back behind him in 2019. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CAR - QB Cam Newton working on side](=) Source: ESPN.com - David Newton Carolina Panthers QB [Cam Newton]( (foot) is working off to the side with trainers Monday, Aug. 26. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Newton is dealing with a sprain here and was able to ditch his walking boot over the weekend. He's not concerned about his Week 1 status. Although we're still a little leery about the risk of re-aggravation. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [WAS - RB Bryce Love to miss start of season]() Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Redskins RB Bryce Love (knee) will start the regular season on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list, according to head coach Jay Gruden. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This was expected for the talented but injured rookie. Love needs to get to full strength and get back to where he was a couple of years ago at Stanford when he was one of the best running backs in the country. Washington would have one helluva steal if Love can regain his skill. We'll continue to monitor him in dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [DEN - TE Noah Fant back at work](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant (ankle) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 26. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fant was moving well at practice today. It looks like the rookie is on track to start for the Broncos in Week 1. We think he's a low-end TE2 but the system, quarterback and natural talent is there for Fant to have some TE1 weeks as a rookie in 2019. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DEN - WR Nick Williams done in Denver]( Source: NFL Network - James Palmer Denver Broncos WR [Nick Williams]( was released Monday, Aug. 26. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams didn't distinguish himself as a return man for the Broncos, one they desperately need to find. He was out of the league before the Broncos gave him a call earlier in the month. Perhaps Williams can latch on with another team but it might take awhile. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [IND - WR Parris Campbell finally makes his return](=) Source: FOX 59 Indianapolis - Mike Chappell Indianapolis Colts WR Parris Campbell (hamstring) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 26. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We're still excited about the rookie, although it is a lower level of excitement with the retirement of Andrew Luck. Campbell has missed the majority of training camp after initially suffering a hamstring injury near the end of July and aggravating it around mid-August. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [MIA - WR Albert Wilson working at full speed]() Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley Miami Dolphins WR [Albert Wilson]( (hip) is reportedly running at full speed and told Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald on Monday, Aug. 26, that he is 'excited' to play in Week 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This was the plan all along with Wilson. The team wanted to ease him into action with this hip thing and get him ready for the start of the regular season. The veteran is not getting drafted in most formats, but keep him on your waiver-wire speed dial because he could make some plays here and there perhaps as a deep 'what the heck' flex. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [KC - QB Chad Henne to undergo ankle surgery](=) Source: ESPN.com - Adam Teicher Kansas City Chiefs QB [Chad Henne]( (ankle) will undergo surgery Tuesday, Aug. 27, to repair a broken ankle. He is expected to be placed on the Reserve/Injured list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Chiefs had to go sign veteran Matt Moore on Monday to be the primary backup behind Pat Mahomes. Chase Litton and Kyle Shurmur are also on the depth chart. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [TB - WR Mike Evans returns to practice]() Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Mike Evans]( (leg) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 26. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Evans did not play in last week's preseason game as the Bucs are being wisely cautious with their star receiver. Fantasy GMs are excited about what he can do under new head coach Bruce Arians. Projecting him for another 80-90 catch season seems fair, and Evans has never had a year in the pros without 1,000 yards receiving. Evans has a fair ADP at WR8 (2.08) in 12-team PPR leagues.
