This movement can be caused by a variety of factors -- injuries, news, etc. This article will highlight some of the players who have seen significant movement over the last week and place them into one of three categories. - Players on the Rise - Players on the Decline - Players of Note Players on the Rise These players have moved up the ADP list in the last week. And there's a pretty good reason for that. RB Chris Carson, Seattle -- up 6 spots to 42 overall Every week, we hear how good Carson looks. Rashaad Penny is still around, but all signs continue to point to Carson being Seattle's lead back. RB Tevin Coleman, San Francisco -- up 5 spots to 65 overall The longer Jerick McKinnon doesn't practice, the more attractive for a prospect Coleman becomes. RB Duke Johnson, Houston -- up 25 spots to 108 overall It might not be called "fallout" if it's a good thing, but this is still fallout from Johnson's trade to Houston. RB Matt Breida, San Francisco -- up 9 spots to 122 overall See Tevin Coleman. WR Josh Gordon, New England -- up 52 spots to 135 overall He still has a ways to go before he's completely ready to play, but Gordon was conditionally reinstated by the NFL. TE Jordan Reed, Washington -- up 11 spots to 136 overall It's hard to remember the last time Reed has been completely healthy this deep into the preseason. RB Devin Singletary, Buffalo -- up 12 spots to 145 overall Singletary is still deep on the depth chart, but he has looked really good this preseason. WR John Brown, Buffalo -- up 10 spots to 158 overall People are starting to pay attention as most reports out of Buffalo media have Brown as the team's top wide receiver. WR Jamison Crowder, NY Jets -- up 12 spots to 160 overall Lots of chatter about Crowder's big role in the offense. And this offense doesn't look too bad at all. RB Darwin Thompson, Kansas City -- up 15 spots to 183 overall Thompson has looked great this preseason and could be the primary backup for the Chiefs. WR Mecole Hardman, Kansas City -- up 14 spots to 187 overall Like fellow rookie Darwin Thompson, Hardman has looked terrific in the preseason. And lots of people want to get a little piece of the high-powered Kansas City offense. Players on the Decline These players have moved down the ADP list in the last week. And there's a pretty good reason for that. RB Melvin Gordon, LA Chargers -- down 5 spots to 27 overall Same thing as the last four weeks. No camp = no good. WR A.J. Green, Cincinnati -- down 5 spots to 58 overall Not much has changed with Green's prognosis, but people generally find reasons to not take injured players. QB Andrew Luck, Indianapolis -- down 14 spots to 68 overall Passed by Baker Mayfield and Matt Ryan (and a slew of non-quarterbacks), Luck's Week 1 status has spooked a lot of drafters. RB Kenyan Drake, Miami -- down 8 spots to 71 overall See A.J. Green. WR Dante Pettis, San Francisco -- down 8 spots to 89 overall Three things: 1) Good news regarding the team's rookie receivers, 2) Not-so-good news regarding quarterback Jimmy Garappolo, and 3) Coach's unflattering motivation of Pettis. While the consensus still has Pettis as San Francisco's top wide receiver, some doubt is creeping in. RB Ronald Jones, Tampa Bay -- down 10 spots to 115 overall The good news is Jones looks better this year, but that was a pretty low bar to achieve. The bad news is Jones is still behind Peyton Barber. WR Keke Coutee, Houston -- down 9 spots to 129 overall See A.J. Green. WR Golden Tate, NY Giants -- down 17 spots to 139 overall It's hard to take a player who will miss the first four weeks due to suspension. Los Angeles Chargers Defense -- down 8 spots to 142 overall It's rare to see downward movement for a defense this time of year. The cause is the loss of safety Derwin James. WR NKeal Harry, New England -- down 9 spots to 152 overall Someone has to lose with the return of Josh Gordon. RB Jerick McKinnon, San Francisco -- down 22 spots to 174 overall See A.J. Green (but it keeps getting worse for McKinnon). WR Parris Campbell, Indianapolis -- down 15 spots to 176 overall Campbell flashed early in camp, but he's missed a lot of time with an injury. WR DeVante Parker, Miami -- down 15 spots to 214 overall Sometimes, there are players who people just can't let go of. Like Parker, these players have shown flashes in the past. Like Miami, these players are on teams where no one else at the position has looked great. Until recently, Parker was still one of those players. But then Preston Williams happened, and now people can let go of DeVante Parker. Also, Preston Williams is likely a spoiler alert for next week's article. RB DOnta Foreman, Indianapolis -- down 52 spots to 237 overall Foreman is out for the season. Players of Note These players have moved up or down. But it's not because of much of anything relating to them. As ADP solidifies closer to the NFL season, there will be fewer of these types of players. QB Baker Mayfield, Cleveland -- up 6 spots to 59 overall Mayfield only moved up one quarterback spot (ahead of Luck). Also, the closer to the season we get, the more people who aren't super into fantasy football start drafting. Some of these people are more into quarterbacks than the fantasy player who has been drafting teams since mid-June. That means quarterbacks go earlier in mid- to late-August than they did in July and early-August. Ditto for kickers and defenses. QB Matt Ryan, Atlanta -- up 7 spots to 62 overall See Baker Mayfield. RB Nyheim Hines, Indianapolis -- down 13 spots to 143 overall While there could be some Andrew Luck worry filtering in here, it looks like Hines' downward movement is largely due to other players moving up. WR Mohamed Sanu, Atlanta -- down 13 spots to 179 overall Sanu briefly missed practice a week ago with a sore knee, but that shouldn't have caused him to drop. Probably just a glitch in the matrix.
