[KC - WR Tyreek Hill won't be suspended](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and James Palmer Kansas City Chiefs WR [Tyreek Hill]( will not be suspended by the NFL as the league found that he did not violate the personal conduct policy. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He will be able to attend training camp and participate in all team activities now with no suspension handed down. Hill was under investigation for months but the league determined there was not enough evidence to suspend the controversial wide receiver. Hill will be a WR1 for Fantasy GMs in 2019 and should go off the board in the first round or two in drafts of any format. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [KC - WR Tyreek Hill vows to make good](=) Source: Around The NFL Kansas City Chiefs WR [Tyreek Hill]( issued his own statement Friday, July 19, after the league announced he will not be subject to a disciplinary suspension or fine at this time. In part, Hill wrote: 'To the Kansas City Chiefs, Clark Hunt, Brett Veach, Coach Reid, the entire organization and the Chiefs Kingdom: you gave me a home when everyone doubted me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you all. I can assure you that I will continue to work to be the person, player, and teammate that you envisioned me to be.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hill will not be suspended as the league could not find enough evidence after investigating him for months. We'll see if he can stay out of trouble and get a new big-money contract from the Chiefs later this year. Fantasy GMs know Hill is a WR1 and he should start going off the board in the first or second round of drafts in any format. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [KC - WR Tyreek Hill contract talks on hold]( Source: NFL Network - James Palmer Kansas City Chiefs WR [Tyreek Hill]( is unlikely to resume contract talks for several weeks or months with the team. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hill and the Chiefs could reconnect on contract talks around the midway point of the regular season. We're sure the team will want some protection in case Hill gets in trouble off the field. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [LAR - RB Todd Gurley proclaimed ready by coach](=) Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra Los Angeles Rams RB [Todd Gurley]( (knee) received a vote of health and confidence Thursday, July 18, from head coach Sean McVay, who was a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. 'I think he's feeling great,' McVay said on the show of Gurley. 'I think, you know, one of the things about Todd is (he's a) great competitor. I think he's earned the right to be able to have the plan that we had this offseason. Can't wait to get him back going. I know he's ready to go and it's going to be fun for the Rams this year.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gurley's knee problem has made his draft stock fall a bit this summer. He's got a current ADP of RB11 (2.05) in 12-team PPR leagues. His knee scares Fantasy GMs just a bit and so does the fact that the Rams could use guys like Darrell Henderson and Malcolm Brown a bit more to give Gurley a breather. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [PHI - RB Darren Sproles returning to Philly]() Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com Free-agent RB [Darren Sproles]( (Eagles) signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles Friday, July 19. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Eagles jam-packed backfield gets a little more cramped here. Jordan Howard should be the lead ball-carrier, but guys like Miles Sanders, Corey Clement and Sproles will compete for snaps/touches as a change-of-pace option. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [BUF - Buffalo could cut veteran RB]() Source: MMQB - Albert Breer Rival teams believe the Buffalo Bills could release someone from the group of RBs [LeSean McCoy](, [Frank Gore]( and [T.J. Yeldon](, according to MMQB's Albert Breer, who notes that McCoy is set to earn far more money than Gore or Yeldon. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCoy is in the final year of his contract and his cap number is just a bit over $9 million with only $2.6 million in dead money. The Bills could go with cheaper options if they feel it's time to move on from McCoy. In addition to Gore and Yeldon, the Bills also have rookie Devin Singletary to turn to. Singletary was a third-round pick out of FAU this year and there's a bit of McCoy (but more Charlie Garner) to his game. We'll watch this position in training camp and the preseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [OAK - RB Jalen Richard to lose snaps?]() Source: The Athletic - Vic Tafur Oakland Raiders RB [Jalen Richard]( could lose a 'good chunk' of his snaps on receiving downs to RB Josh Jacobs, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Reports seem to vary coming out of Oakland. Some reporters think Jacobs is going to get a majority of the touches, while others think Richard will cut into Jacobs touches. We feel that Jacobs will be the top rusher for the Raiders in 2019, but they should use Richard as a change-of-pace back when the talented rookie needs a breather. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [MIA - Miami claims Saeed Blacknall]( Source: MiamiDolphins.com Former Oakland Raiders WR Saeed Blacknall was claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins Friday, July 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Blacknall originally signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State in 2018. The team waived him out of the preseason and he spent most of the year on the Raiders practice squad. We'll monitor him now that he's with the Dolphins but only in crazy deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DEN - Denver officially adds RB David Williams]() Source: The Denver Post - Ryan O'Halloran Free-agent RB [David Williams]( (Jaguars) officially signed with the Denver Broncos Friday, July 19. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams brings some much-needed size to the Broncos backfield behind Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman. He was a seventh-round pick of the Broncos last year but was plucked from their practice squad by the Jaguars. Now he's back in Denver and trying to make the final roster...or practice squad again. He's a big back with better footwork than some would expect for a man of his size. Williams looked good catching a few passes out of the backfield on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [DEN - Two players back on field]( Source: The Athletic - Nicki Jhabvala Denver Broncos TE Bug Howard (illness) and P Colby Wadman (personal) participated in practice Friday, July 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Howard, a converted WR from North Carolina, has made some plays this offseason in minicamp and OTAs. He's an intriguing prospect but only in crazy deep dynasty formats. Howard has a nice size/speed combination as a tight end. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [PHI - DE Connor Barwin interested in return to Philly]( Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Alex Marvez Free-agent DE/LB Connor Barwin (Eagles) told Sirius XM NFL Radio during an interview Friday, July 17, that he has spoken with general manager Howie Roseman about re-signing. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Barwin indicated the Eagles want to take a look at their younger players for a few weeks in training camp first but suggested the two sides will reconvene after that. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [TB - WR Justin Watson taking up residence in slot position]() Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Justin Watson]( worked 'extensively' in the slot this spring, according to Greg Auman of The Athletic. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watson has been watching film of Larry Fitzgerald to prepare him for playing the slot this season. We'll see him compete with Breshad Perriman to be the Bucs No. 3 WR behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [DEN - QB Drew Lock a work in progress](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock is a 'hard-throwing pitcher who doesn't know how to pitch yet,' head coach Vic Fangio said Friday, July 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That sounds about right. Lock is not a finished product and he's not close to pushing Joe Flacco for the starting job. In fact, he's not above Kevin Hogan (yet) on the Broncos depth chart. The rookie is a hard worker and has a big arm but his footwork, release point and pass placement are poor at times. We'll see how Lock develops in 2019, likely as the backup to Flacco. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [SEA - WR Tyler Lockett top deep target]() Source: Pro Football Focus Seattle Seahawks WR [Tyler Lockett]( led the league with a perfect 158.3 passer rating when targeted 20 or more yards downfield (minimum 15 targets) in 2018. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lockett is as explosive as they get in the league. In standard scoring leagues last year, Lockett finished as the WR11 with a 71-57-965-10 receiving line. Now, Lockett is the top WR on the Seahawks roster so his numbers could get a bit of a boost. His touchdown numbers will be difficult to duplicate, but projecting Lockett for around 65 catches and approximately 1,000 receiving yards is fair. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [GB - Malik Taylor joining Green Bay]() Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson Free-agent WR Malik Taylor (Buccaneers) will sign with the Green Bay Packers on Friday, July 19, according to a league source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Taylor was undrafted out of Ferris State and got a chance with the Bucs but he was released after the team's rookie minicamp. He's 6'3" 211 pounds and an explosive player who can get open deep. Taylor missed most of his senior season with the Bulldogs due to a hamstring injury. We'll monitor him in crazy deep dynasty formats, but the Packers have a jam-packed (and talented) group of wide receivers. It will be incredibly difficult for Taylor to make the final roster or even the practice squad. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [NYJ - Quinnen Williams not en route](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New York Jets first-round pick DT Quinnen Williams, who remains unsigned, was not on the planned flight Thursday, July 18, and may not report to camp on time. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams might miss a bit of time early in training camp...just like Sam Darnold did last year for the Jets. The big defensive tackle is one of the most disruptive players in his draft class. No word on what the holdup is leading to the contract snafu. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [KC - WR Mecole Hardman ready to shine]() Source: NFL.com - Grant Gordon Kansas City Chiefs WR Mecole Hardman 'will make an instant impact' as a receiver, according to Grant Gordon of NFL.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hardman is competing with Demarcus Robinson to be the Chiefs No. 3 WR behind Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins. The rookie from Georgia can fly down the field. His game is all about speed, speed and more speed. He should be fun to watch in the preseason, and we're stockpiling his stock in dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [PHI - RB Miles Sanders not a lock for big role](=) Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com - Dave Spadaro Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders has 'absolutely nothing guaranteed' in terms of his role in the offense, according to Dave Spadaro PhiladelphiaEagles.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sanders is a talented rookie but he's got to stay healthy and earn a spot in the rotation as a change-of-pace back behind starter Jordan Howard. With the Eagles adding veteran Darren Sproles on Friday, Sanders competition for snaps/touches just got tougher. Corey Clement will be in the mix for the spot Sanders and Sproles are competing for too. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [PHI - Charles Johnson in the mix for spot](=) Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com - Dave Spadaro Philadelphia Eagles WR Charles D. Johnson is going to be in the mix for a roster spot after a strong showing in spring practices, according to Dave Spadaro of PhiladelphiaEagles.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's been all downhill for Johnson since 2014 when he flashed a little bit with the Vikings. A seventh-round pick in the 2013 NFL draft (Packers) out of Grand Valley State, Johnson got an opportunity with the Eagles due to his play in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football. We'll see if he can earn a roster spot with his play in training camp and the preseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [DEN - WR DaeSean Hamilton shines in practice]( Source: DenverBroncos.com - Andrew Mason Denver Broncos WR [DaeSean Hamilton]( had 'a slew of solid receptions' for the first-team offense during training camp Thursday, July 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hamilton is working to be the No. 3 WR for the Broncos this year behind Courtland Sutton and Emmanuel Sanders. He's a great route-runner and generally has strong hands and good concentration. The No. 3 WR for Denver won't get a ton of work s the Rich Scangarello offense will regularly feature two-TE sets. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [JAX - RB Ryquell Armstead still on track](=) Source: The Florida Times-Union - John Reid Jacksonville Jaguars RB Ryquell Armstead (hamstring) remains on track for the start of training camp, according to John Reid of The Florida Times-Union. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Armstead is the only Jaguars RB being drafted behind Leonard Fournette. With Fournette's propensity to get banged up and miss time, Fantasy GMs need to be locked into the battle for the No. 2 job. The main backup to Fournette right now has to be veteran Alfred Blue. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [DEN - Clear path to roster for River Cracraft]() Source: 104.7 FM Denver - Benjamin Allbright Denver Broncos WR [River Cracraft]('s chances of earning a spot on the 53-man roster have improved following the retirement of WR [Aaron Burbridge](, according to Benjamin Allbright of 104.7 FM Denver. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cracraft is just a slot receiver and he's going to face a long climb to make the 53-man roster. He's No. 6 on the depth chart at best right now. Cracraft is going to have to stand out as a return man if he wants to make the team...and we don't think the Broncos are going to carry six receivers in 2019. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [KC - WR Demarcus Robinson asked do more]( Source: The Athletic - Nate Taylor Kansas City Chiefs WR [Demarcus Robinson]( will be expected to take over the role that Jacksonville Jaguars WR [Chris Conley]( filled for the offense last season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Robinson is going to compete with rookie Mecole Hardman for the No. 3 spot on the WR depth chart behind Tyreek Hill and Sammie Watkins. Projecting him for about 25-30 catches this season is fair. That means Robinson is more of a dynasty prospect than a redraft receiver in 2019.
