[JAX - Ryquell Armstead signs rookie deal](#31) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [NYJ - Le'Veon Bell expected for minicamp]( Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell is expected to be at the team's mandatory minicamp in June. 'I don't expect him not to be there,' head coach Adam Gase said Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The double negative is a little confusing, but we agree with Gase. Bell not showing for voluntary workouts is no big deal, but missing mandatory minicamp practices would be more concerning. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NE - Dontelle Inman joining Patriots]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss Free-agent WR [Dontrelle Inman]( (Colts) agreed to terms Friday, May 10, with the New England Patriots, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bruce Ellington's stint with the team was short and they acted quickly to pick up Inman, who has been productive when asked for the Chargers and Colts. He is an outside receiver who has a shot to make the team if Demaryius Thomas doesn't recover from an achilles tear by Week 1 and Josh Gordon doesn't get reinstated. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [MIN - TE Kyle Rudolph extension talks end](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Minnesota Vikings TE [Kyle Rudolph]( has been discussing a contract extension with the team, but those talks broke off Friday, May 10, according to sources. Trading Rudolph very much remains a possibility for the Vikings, and there is interest around the league. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Irv Smith was the team's second round pick and he might have more to offer than Rudolph does right now. Tyler Conklin was coming on as a receiving option late last year and David Morgan is a quality blocker so the team could easily more on from Rudolph. The Patriots were a possibility, but it sounds like they will sign Ben Watson assuming he comes out of retirement. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [LAR - Darrell Henderson draws lofty comparison]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Michael David Smith Los Angeles Rams RB Darrell Henderson has his new team excited after drafting him in the third round. '(He) gives us an (Alvin) Kamara element,' general manager Les Snead said. Added head coach Sean McVay: 'We'd identified him as a guy that has a specific skill set, that really can do some unique things for us offensively. He was one of those guys that stood out for us, so we're excited about getting him here.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lance Dunbar and Alvin Kamara are very different players, but the team has compared Henderson to both. Just know that he is the best big play runner in this draft and he's in a situation that made CJ Anderson a fantasy star late last year. Henderson will be an essential high ceiling bench stash in redraft and late first round value in dynasty rookie drafts. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [TB - DE Jason Pierre-Paul opts against surgery](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating previous reports, Tampa Bay Buccaneers DE Jason Pierre-Paul (neck) has opted against surgery after receiving several opinions on his fractured vertebra, according to multiple sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There is hope he could play this year, but the team should be making alternate plans. 2016 second-round pick Noah Spence will need to find his game, and this year's fourth-round pick Anthony Nelson might be a pleasant surprise. It's still a big blow to a defense that might not have been able to afford it. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [JAX - Team supporting OLB Telvin Smith]( Source: NFL Network - James Palmer Jacksonville Jaguars LB Telvin Smith, who announced he is planning on taking a leave from football for the 2019 season to deal with personal issues, has the backing of head coach Doug Marrone and the team. 'I really believe in my heart that Telvin knows that we're here to support him in any which way,' Marrone said as part of a statement released Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Whatever is going on with Smith, we hope it resolves well for him. Surprise third-round pick Quincy Williams will be one of the best candidates to replace him. #3 overall pick Quinnen's little brother might be an instant hit in IDP leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [CIN - Jonah Williams working at LT](=) Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson Cincinnati Bengals OT Jonah Williams is lined up at left tackle in workouts Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is a good move with Cordy Glenn not showing the most durability since coming to the team. Glenn can move to right tackle and make Bobby hart an overpaid swing tackle. Williams arm length isn't as big an issue at tackle as some have made it, and he's a battle-tested player in the SEC without as big a jump to NFL competition as some rookies. He was an ideal pick for them at 11. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [PHI - Andre Dillard sticking at tackle]() Source: NBC Sports Philadelphia - Dave Zangaro Philadelphia Eagles OT Andre Dillard will not cross train at guard and will focus on playing tackle, according to head coach Doug Pederson. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Eagles are looking at Dillard as a long-term replacement for Jason Peters and they could need him this year if Peters can't stay healthy at this late juncture of his career. It's wise to let Dillard focus on his likely home position. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [PHI - RB Donnel Pumphrey's spot in jeopardy?]( Source: Philadelphia Daily News - Les Bowen Philadelphia Eagles RB Donnel Pumphrey is in danger of being left off the 53-man roster, according to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pumphrey didn't look that different from Tarik Cohen when both were in college, but injuries and a poor rookie camp have held him back. Another team should look at him if the Eagles let him go because Pumphrey can also contribute in the return game. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [BUF - Six draft picks sign contracts](=) Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown Buffalo Bills second-round draft choice OT Cody Ford, third-round draft choice RB Devin Singletary, fifth-round draft choice LB Vosean Joseph, sixth-round draft choice S Jaquan Johnson, seventh-round draft choice DE Darryl Johnson Jr. and seventh-round draft choice TE Tommy Sweeney signed four-year contracts with the Bills Thursday, May 9. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Singletary will likely be a backup and not touching the ball often without injuries to Frank Gore or LeSean McCoy, but he could be the #1 back in 2020. Ford should be an instant starter and it's encouraging that he said he wanted Buffalo to draft him because of new offensive line coach Bobby Johnson, who was previously an assistant for Indianapolis during their dramatic offensive line turnaround last year. He was reportedly a consideration for Cincinnati at #11, but ended up falling to Buffalo at #38. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [PHI - Philadelphia adds 11 UDFAs]() Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com - Chris McPherson Undrafted free-agents LB Joey Alfieri (Stanford), OT Ryan Bates (Penn State), LB T.J. Edwards (Wisconsin), RB Nico Evans (Wyoming), OG Nate Herbig (Stanford), CB Jay Liggins (Dickinson State), OG Sua Opeta (Weber State), C Keegan Render (Iowa), DT Anthony Rush (Alabama-Birmingham), WR DeAndre Thompkins (Penn State) and DT Kevin Wilkins (Rutgers) signed with the Philadelphia Eagles Friday, May 10. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bates has a decent chance to make the team as a backup guard and many had him rated as a draftable player. The same goes for Edwards, who could provide needed linebacker depth. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [PHI - Philly signs three draft picks]() Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com - Chris McPherson Philadelphia Eagles second-round draft choice WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside, fourth-round draft choice DE Shareef Miller and fifth-round draft choice QB Clayton Thorson signed four-year contracts with the Eagles Friday, May 10. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Arcega-Whiteside might not see much playing time this year with Nelson Agholor still on the roster, but if Alshon Jeffery or DeSean Jackson get hurt, he'll get on the field and should mesh well with Carson Wentz's penchant for throwing downfield. He'll be on our waiver wire watch list unless the Eagles suffer injuries at wide receiver in the preseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [PHI - Miles Sanders under contract]() Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com - Chris McPherson Philadelphia Eagles second-round draft choice RB Miles Sanders signed a four-year contract with the Eagles Friday, May 10. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sanders has a chance to make the Eagles tear up their previous RBBC gameplans under Doug Pederson, especially considering the premium pick they gave up to get him. Sanders is a quality all-around back with plus tools who has a lot of tread left on the tires after backing up Saquon Barkley for the majority of his time at Penn State. He could be a big impact player in redraft leagues too. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [DAL - Dallas signs seven draft picks]() Source: DallasCowboys.com - Nick Eatman Dallas Cowboys second-round draft choice DT Trysten Hill, fourth-round draft choice RB Tony Pollard, fifth-round draft choice DE Joe Jackson, fifth-round draft choice CB Michael Jackson, sixth-round draft choice S Donovan Wilson, seventh-round draft choice RB Mike Weber and seventh-round draft choice DE Jalen Jelks signed four-year contracts with the Cowboys Friday, May 10. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pollard is a utility offensive weapon who can play receiver and running back, while Weber is more of a downhill runner who might be the primary backup to Ezekiel Elliott. We'll watch how this sorts out to have our Elliott injury upside list in order. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [NE - Five draft picks under contract]( Source: Patriots.com New England Patriots fourth-round draft choice OG Hjalte Froholdt, fourth-round draft choice QB Jarrett Stidham, fifth-round draft choice DT Byron Cowart, fifth-round draft choice P Jake Bailey and seventh-round draft choice CB Ken Webster signed four-year contracts with the Patriots Friday, May 10. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Stidham was a lot better in 2017 than 2018. If the Patriots can restore his confidence and game to previous levels, he should project as a long-term backup and the latest in the line of New England quarterbacks that generate trade interest. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [NYJ - NY Jets part with three veterans]( Source: NewYorkJets.com - Eric Allen New York Jets WR [Stacy Coley](, CB Rashard Robinson and DL Charles Tapper were waived Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Coley was a seventh-round pick last year, but failed to stick with the Vikings. Robinson was once a starter for the 49ers, but has seen his stock plummet over the last year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [NYJ - Blake Cashman finalizes rookie deal](=) Source: New York Post - Brian Costello New York Jets fifth-round LB Blake Cashman (Minnesota) signed a four-year contract Friday, May 10. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cashman was considered as high as a second round pick on some points but fell well into the third day. He's highly athletic and could help the Jets decide to move on from 2016 first-round pick Darron Lee if they think he can provide effective depth at inside linebacker. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [SEA - DE Nate Orchard done in Seattle]() Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta Seattle Seahawks LB Nate Orchard was released Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Orchard was a second-round pick by Sashi Brown in 2015, but has failed to live up to his lofty billing as a pro and didn't even make it to the end of his rookie contract. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [CIN - Cincinnati finalizes five rookie deals](=) Source: Bengals.com Cincinnati Bengals fourth-round DT Renell Wren (Arizona State), fourth-round OG/C Michael Jordan (Ohio State), sixth-round RBs Trayveon Williams (Texas A&M) and Rodney Anderson (Oklahoma) and seventh-round CB Jordan Brown (South Dakota State) signed four-year contracts on Friday, May 10. Financial terms of the deals were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams and Anderson would be very intriguing prospects if they weren't behind Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard. Williams is a smallish back with a zest for pass blocking and Anderson is a big back who is an excellent receiver, but has faced multiple serious injuries. Both might be a lot better than their sixth-round pedigree suggests. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [NO - New Orleans adds eight UDFAs]( Source: NFL Trade Rumors - Nate Bouda Undrafted rookie free-agent DE Carl Granderson (Wyoming), OL Ethan Greenridge (Villanova), LB Porter Gustin (Southern California), RB Darnell Holland (Kennesaw State), OT Derrick Kelly II (Florida State), LS [Nick Moore]( (Georgia), DT Shy Tuttle (Tennessee) and LB Darrell X. Williams (Auburn) signed undisclosed three-year contracts with the New Orleans Saints on Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Granderson was considered draftable on many analyst boards, but he is facing a sexual assault charge and fell out of the draft. He could provide edge rush help if his legal issue clears up and he makes the team. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [NO - New Orleans cuts three from roster]( Source: NFL Trade Rumors - Nate Bouda New Orleans Saints RB Martez Carter, LB Chase Hansen and TE Jake Powell were waived Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Carter is a Darren Sproles type who was previously with Washington. He could get another look somewhere else. His release removes one obstacle to undrafted free agent Devine Ozigbo making the team. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [MIA - RB Mark Walton getting a look from Miami](=) Source: NFL Trade Rumors - Nate Bouda Free-agent RB [Mark Walton]( (Bengals) is trying out with the Miami Dolphins during their rookie minicamp Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Walton had multiple arrests this offseason, which was enough to earn his release. He was successful with the Hurricanes down in Miami as a collegiate player and the Dolphins have a depth chart spot or two up for grabs at running back, so this is something to monitor. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [LAC - Two players impressive early for Chargers]() Source: ESPN.com - Eric D. Williams Los Angeles Chargers undrafted rookie free-agent TE Daniel Helm and non-roster invitee RB Derrick Gore have flashed during the open period of rookie minicamp, according to ESPN's Eric D. Williams. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Helm was one of Giants #6 pick Daniel Jones's favorite targets and he is athletic enough to hang as a receiving tight end. He could be in the team's future as a second or third tight end. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 24. [ARI - Wes Hills, Nate Brooks sign with Cards]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Darin Gantt Undrafted rookie free agents RB Wes Hills and CB Nate Brooks signed with the Arizona Cardinals on Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hills is old for a rookie, but some draft analysts liked him for his bruising style. He could make the team as a third back or a practice squad player. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 25. [TB - Tampa Bay adds 16 UDFAs]() Source: Buccaneers.com Undrafted rookie free-agents CB Jalen Allison, RB Bruce Anderson, OG Zack Bailey, LB Kahzin Daniels, S Lukas Denis, QB Nick Fitzgerald, LS Dan Godsil, OT Israel Helms, WR Anthony Johnson, WR DaMarkus Lodge, LB Dare Odeyingbo, OT Brock Ruble, TE Isaiah Searight, WR Cortrelle Simpson, WR Malik Taylor and C Nate Trewyn signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Anderson is the most interesting name for fantasy here with a strong resume as a runner and some explosive plays on the board as a receiver. His combine snub likely knocked him out of the draft, but he's the best back they acquired from the rookie class after not drafting one to bolster their backfield behind Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones. Lodge and Johnson were both considered draftable and could push to make the roster. At least one should make their practice squad. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 26. [TB - Kendall Beckwith placed on NFI list]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Tampa Bay Buccaneers LB Kendell Beckwith (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list Friday, May 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Beckwith still isn't ready to return from an ankle injury that happened in a mishap when he let a former teammate drive his car. The team also lost Kwon Alexander in free agency and will look to #5 pick Devin White to help stabilize the linebacker corps. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 27. [NO - Four Saints picks sign]( Source: NewOrleansSaints.com New Orleans Saints second-round pick C Erik McCoy, fourth-round pick CB Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, sixth-round pick S Saquan Hampton, seventh-round pick TE Alize Mack and seventh-round pick LB Kaden Elliss signed four-year deals Friday, May 10. Financial terms weren't disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCoy should be a day one starter at center after Max Unger unexpectedly retired this offseason. Gardner-Johnson is a versatile player who can line up in the slot or at safety and should help the secondary this year. Both were first rounders on some boards and both were secured after trade ups as the team goes for it one more time with Drew Brees not under contract (yet) next year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 28. [HOU - Lonnie Johnson signs rookie deal](=) Source: Houston Chronicle - John McClain Houston Texans CB Lonnie Johnson signed a four-year, $5.24 million contract on Thursday, May 9. The deal includes $3.03 million in guarantees. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Johnson is everything you want in a corner physically, but needs work where the rubber meets the road in game plan. The Texans have a huge opening at corner next year with their current contract situations and depth chart, so they'll hope he's ready to leverage his considerable physical gifts by next season, with the likelihood of some seasoning in subpackages this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 29. [JAX - Jacksonville cuts two more]( Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper Jacksonville Jaguars FB Dimitri Flowers and OL Parker Ehinger were released Thursday, May 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Once upon a time Ehinger was a rookie starter after the Chiefs took him in the fourth round in 2016. He has battled injuries and failed to stick with the Cowboys after he was traded for Charvarius Ward last summer. He was recently released by Dallas and claimed by Jacksonville, but barely lasted a month on their roster. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 30. [JAX - Jacksonville finalizes UDFA signings]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Curtis Crabtree The Jacksonville Jaguars signed undrafted free-agent WR Tyre Brady (Marshall), WR Raphael Leonard (Southern Illinois), WR Dredrick Snelson (UCF), WR Michael Walker (Boston College), WR Papi White (Ohio), CB Tae Hayes (Appalachian State), CB Picasso Nelson Jr. (Southern Mississippi), CB Saivion Smith (Alabama), CB Brandon Watson (Michigan), CB Marquez Sanford (Murray State), DT Khairi Clark (Florida), DT Andrew Williams (Auburn), DT Roderick Young (North Texas), S Andrew Wingard (Wyoming), S Zedrick Woods (Mississippi), LB Joe Giles-Harris (Duke), LB Connor Strachan (Boston College), OL Donnell Greene (Minnesota), OG Bunchy Stallings (Kentucky), TE Carson Meier (Oklahoma) and DE Shane Bowman (Washington) Thursday, May 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brady is a big receiver who is good at the catch point and should be considered the most likely undrafted receiver to make the roster. Giles-Harris was highly productive in college and could impress with Telvin Smith out for the season (at least) and win a spot. Smith was a starter for the Alabama defense and could have a chance to make the team with the Jaguars drafting no corners this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 31. [JAX - Ryquell Armstead signs rookie deal]() Source: Jaguars.com Jacksonville Jaguars RB Ryquell Armstead signed a four-year deal Thursday, May 9. Financial terms of the contract were not immediately available. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Armstead has speed and toughness as an inside runner. He hasn't done much as a receiver, but should be able to push Alfred Blue to back up Leonard Fournette and be poised to benefit if Fournette falls out of favor with the coaching staff.
