[PHI - QB Nick Foles could be tagged?]( Source: ESPN - Chris Mortensen Philadelphia Eagles QB [Nick Foles]( would be eligible to be franchise or transition tagged and then traded if the team decides not to pick up his option, which ESPN's Chris Mortensen believes is a possibility as doing so would allow the Eagles to influence Foles' destination. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] If the Eagles don't pick up his option, then Foles can buy out of it...and thus he would be eligible to be tagged....and then traded. Eagles GM Howie Roseman loves to trade and he could get a premium pick for Foles. We think this is the most likely outcome. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [MIA - Miami could wait on CB Xavien Howard extension](=) Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero Miami Dolphins CB Xavien Howard is going into the final year of his rookie contract and awaits a contract extension. The Dolphins could wait for him to play out the year before potentially extending his contract, however, in the opinion of The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The main reason being Howard has an extensive injury history and Miami may want to make sure he can stay healthy in 2019 before offering him big money. Howard was tied for the league lead in interceptions in 2018 (7) but has missed 13 games over his three-year career. He will cost $1.95 million against the salary cap this season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NYJ - Dowell Loggains hired by Jets]( Source: NewYorkJets.com - Randy Lange Former Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains was hired by the New York Jets Wednesday, Jan. 23, as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Loggains follows Adam Gase from the Dolphins to the Jets. His biggest task will be getting the most out of Sam Darnold. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [JAX - DE Calais Campbell may have contract restructured]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams Jacksonville Jaguars DE Calais Campbell is willing to restructure his contract to create more salary cap space heading into free agency. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Jaguars need to make some moves, and that's why the team may rework Campbell's money. More cap space would give the Jaguars a better shot at signing Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles. Campbell said talks have commenced regarding a contract restructure. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BUF - RB LeSean McCoy remains confident]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper Buffalo Bills RB [LeSean McCoy]( believes he and the Bills will bounce back after a personally and collectively trying season. McCoy had his worst season as a professional football player, he was the subject of accusation in an alleged domestic incident and he was benched in Week 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCoy can remain confident but Fantasy GMs have their confidence shaken. We'll see what the Bills want to do with McCoy but as his season-ending press conference Bills GM Brandon Beane said McCoy would return for the final year of his contract in 2019. McCoy has a cap hit of $9.05 million in 2019 with $2.6 million remaining in dead money. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NE - Greg Schiano headed to Pats?](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Former Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano is expected to land with the New England Patriots in a top defensive role when linebackers coach Brian Flores heading to the Miami Dolphins. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Schiano is close to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, and there was speculation he could've replaced Matt Patricia last year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [KC - Steve Spagnuolo in line with Chiefs]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Former New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has emerged as the favorite to be hired as Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Spagnuolo was out of the league in 2018. He does have previous working experience with Chiefs head coach Andy Reid from their days back with the Eagles. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [ARI - WR Larry Fitzgerald inks one-year deal]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Updating an earlier report, Arizona Cardinals impending free-agent WR [Larry Fitzgerald]( re-signed with the Cardinals on a one-year deal. Financial terms weren't disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fitzgerald was leaning towards retirement and many thought last season was his final tour around the league. Instead, Fitzgerald sticks with the Cardinals for one more year. He'll be a fine asset for new head coach Kliff Kingsbury and should be able to help young QB Josh Rosen play better. At this point in his career, Fitzgerald is a WR3/flex player for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [MIA - WR Albert Wilson injury update]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Curtis Crabtree Miami Dolphins WR [Albert Wilson]( (hip) is on schedule with his recovery from an October hip injury that landed him on IR and could be at full speed when the team's offseason workout program begins in April. He's under contract through the 2020 season and has a cap hit of $8.3 million in 2019 with $9.6 million remaining in dead money. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [BAL - Baltimore to part ways with WR Michael Crabtree?](=) Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec Baltimore Ravens WR [Michael Crabtree]( is likely to be released in the offseason, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Crabtree is currently signed through the 2020 season. He's got a cap hit of $9.3 million in 2019 with $4.6 million remaining in dead money. The Ravens might take that hit just to move on from the veteran receiver. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [DAL - QB Jon Kitna joins Dallas' coaching staff](=) Source: DallasCowboys.com - David Helman Updating a previous report, retired NFL QB [Jon Kitna]( was hired to join the Dallas Cowboys' coaching staff in an undisclosed capacity Tuesday, Jan. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kitna spent the final few years of his playing career with the Cowboys, so he's familiar with the organization. He was preparing to serve as the offensive coordinator for the San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football prior to accepting the Cowboys' offer.
