Guice was in line to be a big player for the offense and now there's a huge role waiting for someone to step into. Chris Thompson has plenty of fantasy value due to his pass-catching role, but he goes from flex appeal in PPR leagues to perhaps RB2 levels with a larger role. [BAL - WR John Brown remains standout performer](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens WR [John Brown]( made three impressive catches during practice Saturday, Aug. 11, and continues to be the best receiver during training camp, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley. Brown and QB [Joe Flacco]( have shown great chemistry throughout camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Flacco still has a big arm and loves to stretch the defense vertically. That's exactly the skill set Brown brings to the wide receiver position. Brown is currently going undrafted in 12-team PPR leagues but keep his name on your waiver wire speed dial. [BUF - RB LeSean McCoy in better shape]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak Buffalo Bills RB [LeSean McCoy]( looks 'quicker, faster and more powerful than last year,' according to head coach Sean McDermott. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCoy is the centerpiece of the Bills offense and certainly has RB1 ability for Fantasy GMs. However, McCoy is going in the third round of most fantasy drafts for a couple of reasons - both on and off the field. On the field, the Bills O-line is not what it once was and they have a quarterback situation that can be framed as a 'work in progress' at best. Off the field, McCoy has been the subject of domestic violence allegations. That's why his current ADP is RB16 (3.04) in 12-team PPR leagues. Jake Butt starts in his place and most think Butt will end up being the lead tight end when the regular season begins. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There was some speculation that we'd see Cook in the preseason opener but there's no need to rush him back. The team is being cautious with him and that's the best move. Fantasy GMs are ready for Cook to dominate when healthy and starting. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Doctson didn't flash in his second season last year. Washington went out and nabbed Paul Richardson in free agency to help the position. This season, Doctson needs to show better route-running and hands if he ever wants to play up to the potential that made him a first-round pick out of TCU in 2016. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Davis suited up and participated in warm ups but did not appear in the preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday. If healthy, the second-year pro is in line for a breakout season for the Titans. Keep an eye on this injury situation and take advantage of his stagnant (or falling) average draft position. [SEA - SEA works out CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie](=) Source: ESPN.com - Josina Anderson Free-agent CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (Giants) said he worked out for the Seattle Seahawks Friday, Aug. 10, and that the Seahawks were impressed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Giants released Rodgers-Cromartie in March in a cap-saving move. He has met with quite a few teams since that time. Even though the Seahawks were impressed, the veteran left without accepting a deal. He's still got enough in the tank to be a reliable starter and we expect Rodgers-Cromartie to sign somewhere before the start of the regular season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bills made a move to acquire Corey Coleman from the Browns and he should be in line for the no.2 job opposite of Kelvin Benjamin. When healthy, Jones should push for the no.3 spot. Last year was a disappointment and Jones rookie season had some off-field weirdness as well. [LAR - DE Aaron Donald fine details](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Los Angeles Rams DT Aaron Donald will receive a fine of $405,000 for every game he misses during his holdout. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There are conflicting reports (and statements from team officials) about the status of contract talks with Donald. He should get a salary that pays him more than $20 million annually. The Rams have been throwing out new contracts for other players like they're handing out Halloween candy...they need to get Donald what he deserves as arguably the best defensive player in football. This situation does not seem as dire as others (Khalil Mack, Earl Thomas) around the league. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [OAK - DE Khalil Mack fine details](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Oakland Raiders DE Khalil Mack will receive a fine of $814,000 for every game he misses during his holdout. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mack and the Raiders have not had contract talks since February according to reports. This holdout is likely to go through the month of August with no end in sight. There have been rumors about the Raiders trading Mack but everything is unclear in this situation at this time. [DET - RB Kerryon Johnson does well in debut](=) Source: ESPN.com Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson gained 67 total yards (34 rushing, 33 receiving) against the Oakland Raiders on Friday, Aug. 10. He also had a 57-yard run that was erased on a holding penalty. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's been a minute since the Lions had a running back Fantasy GMs could trust. The rookie Johnson may buck the recent trend of 'avoid Lions RBs not named Theo Riddick' in 2018. Johnson is a slashing runner who can live between the tackles if needed. He's competing for carries with veteran LeGarrette Blount. Riddick retains plenty of fantasy value as the team's pass-catching back. Johnson's ADP is currently RB30 (6.09) in 12-team PPR leagues. [NYJ - WR Terrelle Pryor targeting third game]( Source: ESPN.com - Dianna Marie Russini New York Jets WR [Terrelle Pryor]( (ankle) said he won't play until he feels 100 percent healthy, and he his targeting the third preseason game for his return. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pryor is trying to have a bounce-back season after his disappointing 2017 in Washington. He has been participating on a limited basis in training camp. We'll see if he can get into the mix when the Jets go 3-or-4 wide receiver sets in the third preseason game and the regular season.
