[NE - Jacob Hollister making good impression](#18) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [SEA - WR Doug {NAME} has sore knee]( Source: ESPN.com - Brady Henderson Seattle Seahawks WR [Doug {NAME}]( (knee) will miss a few weeks due to a sore knee, according to head coach Pete Carroll. 'It's a little bit of a problem,' Carroll said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] {NAME}'s knee problem has been lingering for a bit since Carroll also said the veteran has been 'a little bit off.' The way they're handling this injury is considered maintenance as the team is being cautious. {NAME} will miss a few weeks and his status for Week 1 against the Broncos is unknown at this time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NO - WR Michael Floyd signed by Saints](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Free-agent WR [Michael Floyd]( (Vikings) was signed to an undisclosed deal by the New Orleans Saints Tuesday, July 31, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's been quite some time since Floyd has been fantasy relevant. Injuries and off-field issues have plagued him recently but landing with the Saints is interesting...even though he's no lock for the 53-man roster. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DEN - QB Case Keenum lauded by coach]( Source: NFL Network - James Palmer Denver Broncos QB [Case Keenum]( is better now than he was last year, according to head coach Vance Joseph. Joseph cited Keenum's accuracy, command, smarts and feel for the game as defining qualities. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Keenum has looked really good in Broncos training camp so far. He has strong chemistry with all of his top targets, but he's especially showing a connection with Emmanuel Sanders. Keenum has hit Sanders on quite a few deep touchdowns over the last few days. We'll see if that connection can continue during the preseason and into the regular season. Keenum is a safe QB2 for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [WAS - Derrius Guice making impression]( Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Redskins RB Derrius Guice has already been praised by the coaching staff for his involvement in meetings and his aggression on field. Guice has been working to improve his pass protection and trying to solidify his technique so as not to overcommit on a block. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Guice is a tremendously talented runner with power and speed. He can easily be the lead back for Washington and has RB2 value for Fantasy GMs with that size of role. Guice will need to prove that he can protect the QB if he's going to get on the field as the primary back. Chris Thompson will continue to serve as Washington's change-of-pace back. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BUF - WR Zay Jones to be limited early]() Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia Buffalo Bills WR [Zay Jones]( (knee) will be eased back into practice once he is activated from the Active/Non-Football Injury list, according to head coach Sean McDermott. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A second-round pick out of East Carolina in 2017, Jones had a horrible rookie season with just 27 catches (on 74 targets) as a rookie. He's hoping for a bounce-back year in 2018 but Jones is going to attempt to do that coming back from offseason knee surgery. We're not interested in him for redraft leagues and even Fantasy GMs in dynasty leagues are not hot on Jones stock. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [BAL - WR Michael Crabtree seeing action in red zone](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens WR [Michael Crabtree]( has been 'a popular target' for [Joe Flacco]( in red zone drill this summer, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Crabtree has a great catch radius and he is effective in close quarters on contested balls. He is as good a bet as any to lead the team in receiving touchdowns this year. Flacco did well with a similar receiver in Anquan Boldin, although they didn't click as a red zone combo. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [PHI - QB Carson Wentz working on side](=) Source: ESPN.com - Tim McManus Philadelphia Eagles QB [Carson Wentz]( (knee) was limited to work on the side Tuesday, July 31. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wentz still appears to be ahead of schedule from the multiple ligament injury recovery. Chances are better than not that he'll start Week 1 against Atlanta. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [MIN - WR Stefon Diggs terms](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating an earlier report, Minnesota Vikings WR [Stefon Diggs](' five-year deal is worth $72 million with $40 million guaranteed. The deal is worth a maximum of $81 million. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Vikings appear to be having no problems locking up players long term even after taking on Kirk Cousins fully guaranteed contract. Diggs price will only go up in an annually wide receiver hungry free agent market, so this is smart. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [WAS - RB Chris Thompson waiting for full recovery]( Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Redskins RB [Chris Thompson]( (leg) said he won't be fully recovered from his broken fibula until November - a whole year after suffering the injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Thompson avoided the PUP list to start camp and he's slowly getting worked back into the mix. The starting running back in Washington may have changed to rookie Derrius Guice but Thompson should still be relied on as the primary pass-catching back. He's got plenty of flex appeal in PPR leagues and a current ADP of RB35 (7.11) in 12-team formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [NE - Eric Decker worked out for Pats]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Free-agent WR [Eric Decker]( (Titans) worked out for the New England Patriots Monday, July 30, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Decker didn't do much last year in his one season with the Titans and he's no longer the same player he used to be. The veteran was drafted by Pats OC Josh McDaniels (back when he was the head coach of the Broncos in 2010) and Decker has previously stated that he would love to play for the Patriots. They could be updating their emergency list or they could have real interest in adding Decker. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [PIT - Three dealing with minor injuries](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Pittsburgh Steelers TE [Vance McDonald]( (foot), LB T.J. Watt (hamstring) and FS Sean Davis (groin) are dealing with minor injuries and are considered day-to-day, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McDonald always seems to be dealing with minor but nagging injuries. This foot injury is the latest one. He's got plenty of potential if he ever stays healthy, and reports earlier this offseason suggested he could be a big part of the Steelers passing game. He's a TE2 with upside for Fantasy GMs...but he's got to be healthy first. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [PIT - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster should be fine](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers WR [JuJu Smith-Schuster]( (undisclosed) is dealing with an undisclosed injury, but head coach Mike Tomlin said Smith-Schuster is considered day-to-day. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He was limited in OTAs and minicamp earlier this year with a knee injury. That was lingering then and could still be a minor issue now. Watch his progress as training camp continues. Smith-Schuster has a current ADP of WR19 (4.07) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [DEN - DE Derek Wolfe suffers stinger in practice](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos TE Derek Wolfe (shoulder) 'had a little stinger' in practice Tuesday, July 31, but is expected to return to practice Wednesday, Aug. 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wolfe left the field to get examined in the locker room. About 10 minutes later he came running out, put his pads on and was back at practice. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [IND - Jordan Wilkins in the running to start]() Source: 1070 The Fan - Kevin Bowen Indianapolis colts RB Jordan Wilkins is 'in the mix' to start Week 1, although there has been 'plenty of rotation' at the running back position early in training camp, according to Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wilkins is the cheapest Colts back outside of Robert Turbin, who is suspended for the first four games, but he has the potential to lead the team in carries and rushing scores. He's worth late round consideration and his ADP could be in for a rise. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [KC - RB Charcandrick West may not make roster]( Source: The Kansas City Star - Brooke Pryor and Lynn Worthy Kansas City Chiefs RB [Charcandrick West]( could be a surprise cut in light of the team's offseason addition of [Damien Williams](, according to Brooke Pryor and Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] West also has suffered a concussion, his second in two years, and Spencer Ware is back and healthy. West has been competent in his role, but hasn't really added value. A release wouldn't be that big of a surprise. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [CLE - HC 'really impressed' with WR Corey Coleman]() Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson said he's been 'really impressed' with WR [Corey Coleman](, adding that he thinks Coleman's confidence is growing. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Coleman has a great opportunity with Josh Gordon away from the team. He has had his share of explosive plays and games, that is when he could stay on the field. Fourth-round pick Antonio Callaway will provide competition for snaps and targets outside. Coleman opens with Pittsburgh, so if Gordon hasn't rejoined the team, he could be a hot waiver wire pickup if he goes undrafted. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [LAC - WR Travis Benjamin hurts shoulder Monday]() Source: ESPN.com - Eric D. Williams Los Angeles Chargers WR [Travis Benjamin]( (shoulder) sustained a shoulder injury during practice Monday, July 30. Head coach Anthony Lynn didn't seem overly concerned about the seriousness of the injury but told reporters Benjamin 'may be in a red jersey' if he practices Tuesday, July 31. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Chargers already have lost a few players due to injury, and they don't need another one. It sounds like this one is minor and Benjamin should be out there soon enough. Benjamin provides a speed element to the Chargers passing attack behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [NE - Jacob Hollister making good impression]() Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots TE [Jacob Hollister]( reportedly got off to a good start this year from offseason workouts to spring practices, so much so head coach Bill Belichick told ESPN's Mike Reiss that Hollister 'has a great future.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hollister was an interesting prospect when he came out of Wyoming as an undrafted free agent. He was a weapon for Josh Allen with the Cowboys and he's learned the pro game for a year as a reserve with the Patriots. Hollister is a dynasty prospect we really appreciate, and this news just gets us more excited to see his continued development in the preseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thank you for giving us the honor or sharing part of your day with us.
