The Footballguys staff, along with four writers in the industry got together and completed a 12-team draft using DRAFT format.
And the results were epic. You've seen Mock Drafts before. We've done them too. And they're usually pretty generic and bland. Not this one. We asked our guys Pre Draft Questions. Then Post Draft we asked more pointed questions about how their draft matched up their Pre Draft goals. Then we rate them and talk about what needs to happen for them to win.
This is Next Level Mock Drafting.

1. [IND - QB Andrew Luck should play in preseason opener]()
Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells
Indianapolis Colts QB [Andrew Luck]( (shoulder) likely will play in the first preseason game in two weeks, according to head coach Frank Reich. Luck is scheduled to practice Thursday, July 26, and Friday, July 27, before receiving a day off Saturday, July 28.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Colts don't need to rush it with Luck. If he does play in the first preseason game, we can't imagine him playing more than a series or two.

[]
2. [PHI - QB Carson Wentz avoids PUP list](=)
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Philadelphia Eagles QB [Carson Wentz]( (knee) will not be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list at the start of training camp.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Wentz has been ahead of schedule in his recovery, so this news comes as no surprise. He will be a limited participant during practices.

[]
3. [HOU - No restrictions for QB Deshaun Watson]()
Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson
Houston Texans QB [Deshaun Watson]( (knee) has been fully cleared and will not be restricted during training camp, according to general manager Brian Gaine.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Great news for the Texans, fans of the Texans and Fantasy GMs who are crazy (aren't we all?) about Watson. He's currently going off the board as the second quarterback drafted, only behind Packers superstar Aaron Rodgers. If Watson doesn't change his playing style and regains his pre-injury form we'll be looking at a young superstar for the Texans at the most important position. He's got a great group of weapons around him and a ferocious defense on the other side of the ball. The Texans could make a postseason run in 2018.
[Back to Top](#top)
---------------------------------------------------------------
[]
4. [CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey in for hefty load?](=)
Source: The Associated Press - Steve Reed
Carolina Panthers RB [Christian McCaffrey]('s ideal workload would be 25 to 30 touches per game, according to head coach Ron Rivera.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
That's a big load for McCaffrey and it's one of the reasons he bulked up this offseason. Fantasy GMs project McCaffrey as a borderline RB1 (RB12 in 12-team PPR leagues) but this news could increase his already high average draft position. You won't get McCaffrey at a bargain in your draft but you could get a dynamic player with a large workload. This news about McCaffrey's potential workload also dampens some expectations for his backup C.J. Anderson.

[]
5. [CLE - WR Josh Gordon expected to play in 2018]()
Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot
Cleveland Browns WR [Josh Gordon]( (personal) is expected to play at some point during the 2018 season, according to general manager John Dorsey.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
He's expected to play, but who knows when that will be. Gordon is away dealing with mental health and anxiety problems. The team is fully supporting him while he's away. Gordon will be placed on the Did Not Report list instead of the Non-Football Injury list.
[Back to Top](#top)

[]
6. [CLE - WR Dez Bryant an option for Browns]()
Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot
Free-agent WR [Dez Bryant]( (Cowboys) is an option for the Cleveland Browns, according to general manager John Dorsey.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Most reports this offseason have been about teams having no interest in Bryant. He did have an offer from the Ravens this spring but he turned them down. Since then, things have been quiet in terms of interest. The Browns have an unknown situation with Josh Gordon and Ricardo Louis is now out for the year. Adding Bryant would give them veteran depth and a player who could work into the mix.

7. [IND - QB Andrew Luck airing it out](=)
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Indianapolis Colts QB [Andrew Luck]( (shoulder) has let loose on several throws in practice Wednesday, July 25, and has shown arm strength close to where he was before the injury.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This news makes Colts fans and Fantasy GMs giddy with excitement. Colts head coach Frank Reich expects Luck to play early in the preseason, so it seems like things are going forward at full steam. If he hadn't been injured, Luck could've been a top-5 fantasy quarterback this year. That makes him a potential great value where he's currently getting drafted (QB12) if healthy. Luck is current coming off the board at the end of the 9th round (9.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

8. [CIN - TE Tyler Eifert uncertain for start of camp](=)
Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson
Cincinnati Bengals TE [Tyler Eifert]( (back) is unlikely to practice with the team when training camp begins Thursday, July 26, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
There's mystery surrounding Eifert's status for the start of the regular season. He made it through just two games in 2017 and fantasy GMs should not be counting on Eifert much even if he does play. We all know the talent is there and the opportunity in the Bengals offense, but the risk is too much to take a chance on in early drafts. Stay tuned.

[]
9. [CLE - WR Jarvis Landry to 'start on the outside']()
Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot
Cleveland Browns WR [Jarvis Landry]( was primarily a slot receiver with the Miami Dolphins, but he is expected to start on the outside and go deep more often under new offensive coordinator Todd Haley.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Catching 100 passes again this year would not be a surprise for Landry. The Browns gave him $47 million guaranteed to be the focus of the passing game. They may talk about Landry being used more as a deep receiver, but we anticipate he's going to get plenty of work out of the slot with his new team in 2018.
[Back to Top](#top)
---------------------------------------------------------------
[]
10. [CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey bulked up]()
Source: The Charlotte Observer - Joe Person
Carolina Panthers RB [Christian McCaffrey]( added some weight this offseason and is up to 208 pounds. He played at 202 pounds last year.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
McCaffrey is going to get a larger workload this year as a runner...at least that's the speculation coming out of Panthers camp. They did add C.J. Anderson in free agency earlier this year, and he could end playing a Jonathan Stewart-like role for his new team. McCaffrey is a stud playmaker, especially in space. His ability as a runner and receiver makes him a borderline RB1 for Fantasy GMs. McCaffrey has a current ADP of RB12 (2.07) in 12-team PPR leagues.
[Back to Top](#top)
---------------------------------------------------------------
[]
11. [CLE - WR Corey Coleman in line to start]()
Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich
Cleveland Browns WR [Corey Coleman]( will be the starting receiver opposite WR [Jarvis Landry]( as long as WR [Josh Gordon]( is unavailable, according to head coach Hue Jackson.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
That move makes sense, but keep an eye on this Dez Bryant speculation. The Browns have looked into adding him according to GM John Dorsey, and they could use him with Gordon out and Ricardo Louis out for the year due to injury. They are now thinner at the WR position than anybody expected a week or so ago.
[Back to Top](#top)
---------------------------------------------------------------
[]
12. [CLE - QB Tyrod Taylor will receive first-team reps]()
Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot
Cleveland Browns QB [Tyrod Taylor]( will receive most of the snaps with the first-team offense during training camp, according to head coach Hue Jackson.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Taylor should be the starter for the Browns...at the start of the regular season at least. Rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield has a lot of work to do according to Browns OC Todd Haley. When the Browns season is out of hand, we could see Mayfield take over as the starter since the no.1 overall pick is clearly the quarterback of the future.

13. [NYG - Odell Beckham present for camp](
Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano
New York Giants WR [Odell Beckham Jr](. reported for the start of training camp Wednesday, July 25, as expected.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
There was a concern that Beckham was going to hold out of training camp, but thoughts changed when he showed up to mandatory minicamp earlier this offseason. Beckham is in the final year of his rookie contract and is looking for a bounce-back season after 2017 was cut short (four games) due to a broken ankle.

14. [LAR - DE Aaron Donald does not report](=)
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Los Angeles Rams DT Aaron Donald did not report to camp Wednesday, July 25, amid a contract dispute.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
With Rams RB Todd Gurley getting his big-money extension we should see the team hook up Donald next. He stayed away from mandatory mincamp earlier this year and it seems like this holdout will continue provided Donald doesn't have a new deal. He skipped all of training camp last year and still had 11.0 sacks. Arguably the best defender in the game today, we have a feeling the Rams will find a way to properly compensate him.

15. [BUF - Josh Allen signs]()
Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen signed his four-year contract Wednesday, July 25. Financial terms weren't disclosed. All first-round picks receive fifth-year options.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Allen has one of the strongest arms in the NFL as a rookie, and he's clearly considered the quarterback of the future in Buffalo. Nathan Peterman and A.J. McCarron will fight with the first-round rookie to be the top quarterback to start the season but we all know this will one day be Allen's job. His accuracy was below average (56.0 percent) for his college career and that' something he needs to improve in the pros. We also believe Allen could be better under pressure, stay with reads and allow plays to develop while manipulating space in the pocket. He's got great upside, and it will be interesting to see what his pro career turns out like.

16. [BAL - Lamar Jackson to see regular-season snaps]()
Source: Toronto Sun - John Kryk
Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is 'one way or another ... going to be out there, taking snaps,' according to head coach John Harbaugh.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jackson has been the talk of Ravens camp...just ask Joe Flacco. Whether it's as a quarterback or as a gadget player, expect the Ravens to get Jackson's athleticism on the field one way or the other. It's not outrageous to spend the last pick in your draft on Jackson...just to see what happens.

17. [HOU - D'Onta Foreman's Week 1 status uncertain](
Source: NFL Network - James Palmer
Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman's (Achilles') availability for Week 1 is up in the air at this point, according to general manager Brian Gaine.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Foreman is coming back from the Achilles' injury he sustained in Week 11 last year. When healthy, Foreman should work in a committee with starter Lamar Miller.

18. [PIT - WR Eli Rogers to go on PUP](=)
Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Ray Fittipaldo
Pittsburgh Steelers WR [Eli Rogers]( (knee) will be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list because he is still recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Rogers got a bit of interest after the Steelers declined to tender him as a restricted free agent. When healthy, Rogers is trying to make the 53-man roster as a fourth or fifth wide receiver on the depth chart.

19. [WAS - TE Jordan Reed avoids PUP](=)
Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper
Washington Redskins TE [Jordan Reed]( (toes) has been medically cleared to start training camp.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
That's good news for the oft-injured tight end. Fantasy GMs who select Reed should have a good backup at the ready. Head coach Jay Gruden said he will take it slowly with Reed.

20. [IND - RB Marlon Mack played with injury in 2017](
Source: The Indianapolis Star - Zak Keefer
Indianapolis Colts RB [Marlon Mack]( said he played last season with a shoulder injury he suffered last training camp but has recovered from offseason surgery and is ready for camp this season.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Colts backfield is one of the hottest topics in fantasy football. GMs are wondering who is going to emerge from the pack. We see Mack as the frontrunner right now, but rookies Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins could push him for the top spot. Hines has some Chris Thompson to his game, so the Colts may use him in a similar fashion to Washington's change-of-pace back. Watch this battle unfold during training camp.

21. [CAR - ILB Luke Kuechly good to go](=)
Source: Panthers.com - Max Henson
Carolina Panthers LB Luke Kuechly (shoulder) passed his physical and is ready for training camp.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
He underwent shoulder surgery earlier this offseason, and the Panthers held him out of offseason work. We could see him eased into action in training camp even though he's fully cleared.

22. [OAK - DE Khalil Mack will not report]()
Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
Oakland Raiders DE Khalil Mack will not report with the other veterans Thursday, July 26, because of his contract situation, according to a source.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
No surprise here. Mack sat out mandatory minicamp as he wants more money. Entering the final year of his rookie deal, Mack should get a contract in line with what Von Miller ($20 million annually) got from the Broncos a few years ago.

23. [BAL - Jordan Lasley making early impression](=)
Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley
Baltimore Ravens WR Jordan Lasley has been one of the standout performers during the early part of training camp because his route running is allowing him to get open on a consistent basis.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
A fifth-round pick out of UCLA in the 2018 NFL draft, we'll monitor Lasley in deep dynasty leagues. The Ravens revamped their WR corps this year, and guys like Michael Crabtree, John Brown and Willie Snead are ahead of the rookie on the depth chart. Most importantly, we'll be watching in the preseason to see what kind of connection Lasley has with fellow rookie Lamar Jackson.

24. [PIT - WR Eli Rogers will have competition](=)
Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Ray Fittipaldo
Pittsburgh Steelers WR [Eli Rogers]( is expected to compete with WR Marcus Tucker for a roster spot during training camp.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Rogers is no lock to make the 53-man roster. He's at best fourth on the depth chart behind Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and rookie James Washington.

25. [SF - CB Richard Sherman ready for camp](=)
Source: ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner
San Francisco 49ers CB Richard Sherman (Achilles') has been medically cleared and will be ready for the start of training camp.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The 49ers are going to ease the veteran corner back into action during camp. He will practice two days on and one day off as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles' tendon.

26. [NYJ - WR Robby Anderson to report on time](
Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini
New York Jets WR [Robby Anderson]( will report for training camp with the veterans Thursday, July 26, even though he could still be disciplined by the NFL for his off-field issues.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Anderson came through with a breakout season in 2017, snaring 63 catches for 941 yards and seven touchdowns. We'll see if the league makes any decision to discipline Anderson after some offseason problems. He's currently coming off the board at WR40 (8.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

27. [HOU - D'Onta Foreman a PUP victim]()
Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson
Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (knee) was placed on the Physically Unable to Peform list Wednesday, July 25.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Foreman suffered a torn Achilles' in Week 11 last season. He's still recovering from that injury and his exact timetable is a bit up in the air. Lamar Miller is the Texans starter for now, but when Foreman is healthy the team should move to a 2-headed RBBC approach at the position.

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Houston Texans DE J.J. Watt (knee) and DE Jadeveon Clowney (knee) avoided the Physically Unable to Perform list. Both players passed their physicals.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Clowney is in the final year of his deal and if healthy he could get a contract larger than Von Miller got a few years ago from the Broncos. Even though he avoided the PUP list, expect the Texans to ease Clowney back into action.

29. [NYG - Sam Beal out for season](
Source: ESPN - Dianna Russini
New York Giants CB Sam Beal (shoulder) is out for the season due to a shoulder injury, according to a source.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Giants used a third-round pick in the Supplemental Draft to select Beal earlier this month. He aggravated the injury at a practice earlier this week and it's disappointing development considering Beal's skill set and likelihood they would've used him as a reserve corner in sub-packages.

Source: Medina County Gazette - Scott Petrak
Cleveland Browns WR [Ricardo Louis]( (neck) will miss the entire 2018 season.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
A fourth-round pick out of Auburn in the 2016 NFL draft, Louis injured his neck late last year but still managed to catch 27 passes on the year. With Louis out for the year and Josh Gordon taking some time to address his mental health, the Browns may consider making a move for a veteran wide receiver. Dez Bryant has been a consideration for the team according to their General Manager John Dorsey.
