1. [PHI - Philly encouraged by QB Carson Wentz's progress](=)
Source: ESPN.com - Tim MacMahon
Philadelphia Eagles QB [Carson Wentz]( (knee) has yet to be medically cleared, but the team is 'highly encouraged' by the progress he has made in his rehab from a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee. Nevertheless, head coach Doug Pederson made it clear he has no intention to rush Wentz back, telling reporters his quarterback will be 'ready when he's ready, and when we feel he's ready.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Great news for the Eagles here, and it falls in line with the reports that have been coming out this entire time. Wentz is doing well in his recovery and might even be ahead by some standards. That's great, but it's still too early to tell if he's going to get much (if any) work in the preseason and training camp. Even Wentz's status for Week 1 of the regular season is in doubt. We'll all be staying tuned in here.

2. [DAL - TE Rico Gathers good to go in 2018]()
Source: ESPNDallas.com - Todd Archer
Dallas Cowboys TE Rico Gathers has been cleared to play after fully recovering from the concussion, neck and jaw injuries he suffered last August, according to ESPN's Todd Archer.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Gathers has intriguing size and the athleticism to box out smaller defenders. With Jason Witten retired, Gathers should be part of the mix at tight end with guys like Geoff Swaim, Blake Jarwin and rookie Dalton Schultz.

3. [NE - WR Malcolm Mitchell likely to go for OTAs](=)
Source: The Athletic - Jeff Howe
New England Patriots WR [Malcolm Mitchell]( (knee) is expected to participate in OTAs after missing all of the 2017 season with a knee injury, according to The Athletic's Jeff Howe.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Mitchell is obviously in a make-or-break year in 2018. Even if he stays healthy, finding snaps and targets could prove to be difficult if the Patriots receivers and tight ends are at full strength. Snatch him up for a cheap price in dynasty leagues if you liked what he showed as a rookie in 2016 (32 catches, 401 yards, four touchdowns).

4. [DAL - WR Tavon Austin to be busy?]()
Source: NBC Sports - Josh Norris
Dallas Cowboys WR [Tavon Austin]( could touch the ball 'a dozen to two dozen' times per game this season, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It's hard to say how realistic this is, or what it means. We've heard it before about Austin and it never happens. But there is a potential talent gap with the departures of Dez Bryant and Jason Witten, so we're optimistic the opportunity will be there. The execution? Austin doesn't have our faith on that end.

5. [ARI - Josh Rosen signs rookie deal](
Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban
Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen signed a four-year deal worth $17.84 million with an $11 million signing bonus Thursday, May 10.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Rosen has the best chance to start from the best position as the Cardinals signal caller. That's not to say the situation is ideal or he's a top ten fantasy quarterback, but that he has Larry Fitzgerald, David Johnson and a decent line, as well as a good coaching staff. It makes him the best of the bunch right now, though we wouldn't invest in him for a redraft league this year.

6. [CHI - Anthony Miller to be limited](=)
Source: Chicago Tribune - Brad Biggs
Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (foot) will not participate in team drills during the rookie minicamp this week because he is coming off a foot injury.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Miller was a playmaker in college for Memphis, and he can bring that ability to the field for the Bears in the pros. He has recovered from the injury, but the team wants to be cautious.

7. [CIN - Four Bengals picks sign deals](
Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell
Cincinnati Bengals fifth-round draft choices CB Davontae Harris and DT Andrew Brown and seventh-round draft choices QB Logan Woodside and OG Rod Taylor signed four-year contracts Friday, May 11. Financial terms were not disclosed.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Woodside could be an interesting developmental quarterback. He was incredibly accurate in college, and Woodside put up some big numbers leading the Toledo offense finishing his college career as the all-time leader for the Rockets in passing yards (10,514) and passing touchdowns (93). He doesn't have the strongest arm and is undersized by NFL standards.

8. [CIN - Devonte Boyd joins Bengals](=)
Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Paul Dehner Jr.
Undrafted free-agent WR Devonte Boyd (Nevada-Las Vegas) signed with the Cincinnati Bengals Friday, May 11. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
At 6'1" 185 pounds, Boyd isn't afraid to go across the middle of the field and has good run-after-the-catch ability. He can be pushed around by stronger corners and needs to improve his play strength to maximize his pro potential. He's buried on the depth chart but is athletic enough to perhaps make the team as a deep reserve receiver and return man.

9. [DAL - Leighton Vander Esch signs deal](
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Dallas Cowboys first-round draft choice LB Leighton Vander Esch agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the Cowboys Friday, May 11, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal includes a fifth-year option.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Vander-Esch is like a heat-seeking missile on the field. He can find the play quickly and doesn't take false steps on his way to making the tackle. He should start as the team's strong-side linebacker in 2018.

10. [NE - Isaiah Wynn will work at LT](
Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss
New England Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia said OT Isaiah Wynn will line up at left tackle during rookie minicamp.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
An interesting move for the Patriots considering most felt Wynn would shift inside to guard as a pro. We'll see if his shorter-than-ideal arms hamper his ability to play left tackle for the Patriots.

11. [DAL - Dallas signs six draft picks]()
Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jon Machota
Dallas Cowboys fourth-round draft choices DE Dorance Armstrong and TE Dalton Schultz, fifth-round draft choice QB Mike White, sixth-round draft choices LB Chris Covington and WR Cedrick Wilson and seventh-round draft choice RB Bo Scarbrough signed four-year contracts with the Cowboys Friday, May 11, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Schultz is nasty as a blocker and loves to mix it up. He's a decent receiver who can be asked to go down the seam against linebackers. Without Jason Witten (retired), the Cowboys will use a TEBC with Schultz and guys like Rico Gathers, Geoff Swaim, and Blake Jarwin.

12. [NYG - NY Giants finalize three rookie deals]()
Source: New York Post - Paul Schwartz
New York Giants second-round OG Will Hernandez, third-round LB Lorenzo Carter and fourth-round QB Kyle Lauletta signed four-year contracts Friday, May 11. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Lauletta has drawn some Tony Romo comparisons on 'draft Twitter' and he's a rookie quarterback with intriguing upside. He'll compete with second-year pro Davis Webb to be the backup quarterback behind Eli Manning in 2018. Lauletta is athletic, accurate and can keep plays alive with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield. We're monitoring him in dynasty leagues.

13. [CAR - RB Kenjon Barner signs with Panthers](
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Free-agent RB [Kenjon Barner]( (Eagles) signed an undisclosed deal with the Carolina Panthers Friday, May 11.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Barner began his career with the Panthers as a sixth-round pick (2013) out of Oregon. The Panthers need some depth at the position, even after adding C.J. Anderson in free agency, because they put Fozzy Whittaker on Injured Reserve. Barner can help give them veteran depth at the running back position and can also contribute on special teams.

14. [DET - Kerryon Johnson signs rookie pact](
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson signed his rookie four-year deal Friday, May 11. Financial terms weren't disclosed.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Johnson was a touchdown hog at Auburn, scoring 29 rushing touchdowns over the last two seasons. Patience is his best attribute as Johnson does a good job of allowing his blocks to set up fully in front of him before making his move. The Lions can't find a good runner to save their life and have missed on several prospects in recent years. Perhaps Johnson could finally be the runner this team needs to complement QB Matthew Stafford.
