[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] An upgrade for the 49er receivers and obviously a big uptick for Garoppolo who goes from backup to soon to be starter. [DAL - Judge denies retraining order for RB Ezekiel Elliott]( Source: NFL.com - Austin Knoblauch A federal judge denied the NFL Players Association's request for a preliminary injunction in the [Ezekiel Elliott]( case on Monday, meaning the Dallas Cowboys running back's six-game suspension will be reinstated. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There will be a 24 hour window for an appeal but if that's not successful, Elliott will begin his suspension immediately. Reports are that Dallas would use a committee approach for RB if Elliott were to miss with McFadden, Morris and Smith seeing work. [CHI - TE Zach Miller has successful surgery]() Source: Chicago Tribune - Rich Campbell Chicago Bears TE [Zach Miller]( (knee) is no longer in danger of losing his leg due to complications from his knee injury, according to head coach John Fox. Fox said doctors feel good about Miller's status. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There was serious concern that Miller could lose his leg, but it sounds like his doctors have prevented that from happening. [WAS - TE Jordan Reed unlikely to play]() Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Redskins TE [Jordan Reed]( (hamstring) is not expected to play in Week 9, according to head coach Jay Gruden. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy owners who drafted Reed are already prepared for him to miss time given his long injury history. [DET - WR Calvin Johnson rumors swirl]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Retired WR [Calvin Johnson](, whose rights the Detroit Lions own, has been the subject of trade calls from two teams over the past week, according to sources. Figuring they had nothing to lose, the Lions told teams to reach out to Johnson to gauge his interest, but so far it has been noncommittal at best, diminishing any hope for a deal, sources said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's great to think about Johnson returning to the football field, but the reality of that happening is likely slim. Several teams would love to add Megatron, and reports/rumors seem to indicate the Eagles and the Jaguars could be most interested. [CAR - TE Greg Olsen has target date]() Source: Charlotte Observer - Joseph Person Carolina Panthers TE [Greg Olsen]( (foot) said he is looking at Week 12 against the New York Jets as a possible return date. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That sounds about right given his current timeline as long as there are no setbacks. [HOU - Houston adds CB Jeremy Lane](=) Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Seattle Seahawks CB Jeremy Lane was acquired by the Houston Texans Monday, Oct. 30, in exchange for OT Duane Brown, according to sources. The Texans will also receive a 2018 fifth-round draft choice and a 2019 second-round draft choice in the trade. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lane isn't the player he used to be as injuries and inconsistency has plagued his game this year. The Texans will use him as valuable veteran depth in their secondary. The Seahawks had to clear room for Brown's contract, and Lane needed a fresh start. [SEA - Seattle acquires Duane Brown](=) Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Houston Texans OT Duane Brown was acquired by the Seattle Seahawks Monday, Oct. 30, in exchange for CB Jeremy Lane, a 2018 fifth-round draft choice and a 2019 second-round draft choice, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is a huge upgrade for the Seattle offensive line. Brown had been holding out the first seven weeks of the year, but he reported last week and played against the Seahawks on Sunday. Now, Brown will be starting for them and protecting QB Russell Wilson's blind side. He wanted a new contract, so we'll see if the Seahawks eventually oblige. NYJ - RB Matt Forte limited Monday Source: NFL New York Jets RB [Matt Forte]( (knee) was limited during the team's walkthrough Monday, Oct. 30. [LAC - ILB Denzel Perryman on track for Week 10]( Source: Chargers.com Los Angeles Chargers LB Denzel Perryman (ankle) should be ready to play in the team's Week 10 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to head coach Anthony Lynn. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Getting Perryman back will boost the Chargers run defense. It will come in handy as they're set to face Leonard Fournette in Week 10. The team also waived RB [Elijah Hood](. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lynch is back, and the team is trying to find their way after dropping another game in Week 8. The Raiders are 3-5 and Lynch's role has not been as large as some originally thought. He's averaging about 10 carries per game, and we'll see if the team expands that role now that he's back and they need to get on the winning track with the season slipping away. [JAX - WR Dede Westbrook designated to return]() Source: The Florida Times-Union - Ryan O'Halloran Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (core) has been designated as one of the players to return from the Reserve/Injured list this season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A move that was expected when Westbrook was initially put on the Reserved/Injured list. Westbrook is electric with the ball in his hands and gives the team another playmaker on offense. He'll work his way into the no3 WR position behind Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee. [MIN - Minnesota claims Mack Brown](=) Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Former Washington Redskins RB [Mack Brown]( was claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Vikings Monday, Oct. 30, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brown will serve as a depth player for the Vikings behind Jerick McKinnon and Latavius Murray. He's a strong runner and can break tackles to create his own space. In super deep dynasty leagues we're monitoring his career. [IND - QB Andrew Luck still not ready]( Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells Indianapolis Colts QB [Andrew Luck]( (shoulder) will not participate in practice this week, according to head coach Chuck Pagano. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Luck was already supposed to be back in action by now, but that timetable was pushed back by setbacks along the way. We may not see Luck at all in 2017. The Colts should plan on having him ready for the 2018 season, and Jacoby Brissett will continue to start for them this year. [BAL - QB Joe Flacco has chance to play](=) Source: BaltimoreRavens.com Baltimore Ravens QB [Joe Flacco]( (concussion) is not dealing with any concussion symptoms and appears to have a good chance to play in Week 9, according to head coach John Harbaugh. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watch Flacco's progress as the week of practice goes on. Even if Flacco does play, he's not much of an option for fantasy owners. [NE - RB Dion Lewis won't be traded](=) Source: NFL Network - Michael Lombardi New England Patriots RB [Dion Lewis]( has received trade interest from several undisclosed teams, but he is not expected to be traded, according to NFL Network's Michael Lombardi. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The trade rumors have been swirling about Lewis, especially with the return of RB Rex Burkhead, but it looks like there will be no such deal. [TEN - TE Delanie Walker sits out](=) Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt Tennessee Titans TE [Delanie Walker]( (ankle) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Titans had a bye in Week 8, so we'll see if the extra rest helped Walker deal with the bone bruise on his ankle. We'll know more about his status later in the week with Friday being the day to determine whether or not he can play in Week 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Davis hasn't played since Week 2, but he had seven catches for 73 yards in those first two games. When fully healthy, the talented rookie WR should be a big part of what the Titans do on offense. Check the waiver wire to see if he's been dropped and stash him if you can. [JAX - WR Dede Westbrook on the field Monday]() Source: Jaguars.com - John Oehser Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (core) participated in practice Monday, Oct. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Westbrook should get activated by the Jaguars in the near future. They put him on Injured Reserve right before the start of the regular season with hopes he would be back. Westbrook is a big play waiting to happen, but he'll take some time to get up to speed in the Jaguars offense. Even when he is playing, the team isn't exactly pass-happy on offense and Westbrook will still be behind Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee in the pecking order. [NE - WR Malcolm Mitchell could return in 2017]() Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots WR [Malcolm Mitchell]( (knee) recently started to run again, and head coach Bill Belichick did not rule out the possibility of Mitchell playing again this season. We'll see how his body responds to running and see if there's any setbacks. Fantasy owners need only to monitor Mitchell in dynasty formats. Clay is unlikely to play in Week 9, so the Bills continue to go with Nick O'Leary and Logan Thomas at the TE position. It's early, but Freeman should be available to play in Week 9 against the Panthers. Hopefully the team starts using him more going forward. [DEN - OLB Shane Ray activated]( Source: NFL.com - Ian Rapoport Denver Broncos LB Shane Ray was moved from the Reserve/Injured list to the active roster Monday, Oct. 30, after completing his recovery from a torn ligament in his left wrist. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ray will start on Monday night against the Chiefs. The Broncos defense welcomes him back into a large role, even though he should be on a snap count his first game back. [WAS - Trent Williams still week-to-week]( Source: NFL.com - Ian Rapoport Washington Redskins OT Trent Williams (knee) is expected to miss multiple weeks despite getting his injured left knee to 'calm down,' according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams has a bone bruise and ligament damage in his right knee. He'll likely get surgery at some point, but the team wants to keep him out a few weeks and see how he progresses. [PHI - Jason Peters has successful surgery](=) Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Philadelphia Eagles OT Jason Peters (knee) underwent successful surgery Friday, Oct. 27, according to a source.
