[GB - QB Aaron Rodgers will need surgery](=) Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Green Bay Packers QB [Aaron Rodgers]( (collarbone) will need surgery on his broken collarbone and could miss the rest of the season, according to head coach Mike McCarthy. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The surgery could end Rodgers 2017 season. It's a crushing blow to the Packers, NFL fans and fantasy owners. Downgrade all Packers skill position players while Rodgers is out. Brett Hundley takes over as the team's starter and former practice squad quarterback Joe Callahan will back him up. [MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater could practice]( Source: MMQB - Albert Breer Minnesota Vikings QB [Teddy Bridgewater]( (knee) could practice Wednesday, Oct. 18, after his follow-up with doctors Monday, Oct. 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bridgewater has been cleared to return to practice, and the team is likely to activate him off the PUP list in the next two weeks. Once that is done, they'll have a three-week window to determine whether or not to activate him or put him back on the PUP. It wouldn't be a surprise at this point to see Bridgewater back under center as the Vikings starter later in the year. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hill spent training camp with the Falcons and knows the system. Atlanta made him a fifth-round pick out of Wyoming in the 2017 NFL draft. That just so happens to be when the Broncos travel to Ray's hometown of Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. We'd be shocked if Ray missed that game. Quinn said he was not satisfied with how often Jones was seeing the ball, adding that more offensive plays in general will help that cause. Jones has only one 100-yard game this year (Week 2 against the Packers) and has yet to score a touchdown in 2017. [DEN - QB Trevor Siemian not seriously injured](=) Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Denver Broncos QB [Trevor Siemian]( (shoulder) suffered a minor shoulder sprain in Week 6 but is expected to play in Week 7, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Siemian has a long injury history and he was banged up against the Giants on Sunday night trying to make a tackle on a pick-six. [WAS - RB Rob Kelley will take part in practice]( Source: Redskins.com Washington Redskins RB [Rob Kelley]( (ribs) will be able to participate in practice this week, according to head coach Jay Gruden. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kelley missed the game against the 49ers on Sunday and Washington split time in the backfield between Chris Thompson and Samaje Perine. That would still be at least a couple of weeks away from him getting back onto the field for the Bills. Fantasy owners have already had to make other plans at the position. [DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders will miss Week 7]( Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos WR [Emmanuel Sanders]( (ankle) will be sidelined next week with a sprained ankle, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sanders suffered the injury against the Giants on Sunday night. He'll be week-to-week after he misses this upcoming game against the Chargers in Week 7. The Broncos will turn to guys like Bennie Fowler and Jordan Taylor to do more while Sanders is out. [CLE - Cleveland's Week 7 QB undecided]( Source: ClevelandBrowns.com - Andrew Gribble Cleveland Browns QBs [Kevin Hogan](, [DeShone Kizer]( and [Cody Kessler]( will know who will start next week by Wednesday, Oct. 18, according to head coach Hue Jackson. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kizer was benched in Week 6 for Hogan...and Hogan looked bad against the Texans on Sunday. [PIT - WR Martavis Bryant did not ask for trade?]() Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Contradicting a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers WR [Martavis Bryant]( told reporters Monday, Oct. 16, he did not request a trade and has only talked with coaches about getting better. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bryant is unlikely to be traded. He's frustrated with his role after only getting targeted three times against the Chiefs in Week 6. [BUF - Jordan Mathews still not close to return?](=) Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills WR [Jordan Matthews]( (thumb) told reporters he has yet to catch a pass with his right hand since undergoing thumb surgery earlier this month. He noted he has been working with tennis balls instead. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's all part of the process, and most fantasy owners aren't holding their collective breaths waiting for Matthews to return. [GB - Joe Callahan promoted](=) Source: NFL.com - Mike Garafolo Green Bay Packers QB Joe Callahan was added to the 53-man roster from the practice squad Monday, Oct. 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team had to do something with QB Aaron Rodgers down with an injury. Brett Hundley will be the team's starter while Rodgers is out, and Callahan will serve as the backup. Expect the Packers to add another quarterback to the roster as well, likely on the practice squad as a scout team arm. [DET - WR Golden Tate expected to miss a few weeks]( Source: NFL.com - Ian Rapoport Detroit Lions WR [Golden Tate]( (shoulder) is scheduled to undergo an MRI soon, but the expectation is he will miss 'some time,' according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With Tate down, the Lions will turn to Marvin Jones to do more. They'll need rookie Kenny Golladay to get over his hamstring injury and do more. [ARI - RB Adrian Peterson logs 48 snaps in debut]( Source: 98.7 Arizona - Mike Jurecki Arizona Cardinals RB [Adrian Peterson]( played 48-of-65 offensive snaps in Week 6 - his first game with the team since he was acquired from the New Orleans Saints earlier in the week. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He played 45 snaps in four games with the Saints in 2017. He clearly wasn't a good fit for New Orleans, but Peterson looked right at home as the lead ball-carrier for the Cardinals on Sunday. So long as the Cardinals can play with a lead, then Peterson has at least RB2 value for fantasy owners. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 24. [TB - QB Jameis Winston has sprained AC joint]( Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating previous reports, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB [Jameis Winston]( (shoulder) suffered a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Winston was knocked out of the game on Sunday and replaced by Ryan Fitzpatrick. He'll be brought along slowly this week, but Winston isn't yet declared out for Week 7 against the Bills. This is the type of injury he could play through, and we'll know more about Winston's status later in the week. Beathard will be the starting quarterback moving forward, head coach Kyle Shanahan said Sunday, Oct. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brian Hoyer is now the backup behind the rookie. The 49ers aren't going anywhere no matter who lines up under center. Beathard has a good deep arm and throws with touch when going deep downfield. He's a good leader and is more athletic than some think, allowing him to make good plays on bootlegs that abound in the Shanahan system.
