[OAK - QB Derek Carr to start Week 6](=) Source: NFL.com - Conor Orr Oakland Raiders QB [Derek Carr]( (back) will start Week 6's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Carr is back after suffering this injury against the Broncos in Week 4. The initial prognosis was 2-6 weeks of recovery and obviously Carr is on the short side of that. Fantasy owners should look at him as a QB2 in Week 6. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [IND - RB Frank Gore ready to play]() Source: Colts.com Indianapolis Colts RB [Frank Gore]( (non-injury) fully participated in practice Saturday, Oct. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gore is the starter for the Colts and he gives it his all every week. However, we're expecting the Colts to start to use rookie Marlon Mack a bit more going forward. While Gore is a RB3/flex play, Mack makes for an interesting 'what the heck' flex or cheap DFS play due to his speed and playmaking ability. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [IND - TE Jack Doyle not on injury report]() Source: Colts.com Indianapolis Colts TE [Jack Doyle]( (concussion, neck) fully participated in practice Saturday, Oct. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Doyle suffered a concussion against the Seahawks in Week 4 and has been out of action since then. It looks like he'll return this week for the Monday night game against the Titans. Fantasy owners should consider Doyle a TE2 in Week 6. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [IND - QB Jacoby Brissett on track to play]() Source: Colts.com Indianapolis Colts QB [Jacoby Brissett]( (wrist) fully participated in practice Saturday, Oct. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brissett is set to play on Monday night against the Titans, and fantasy owners should see him as a high-end QB2 in Week 6. He's building a better rapport with the weapons around him and his nose for rushing TDs (three so far this year) makes Brissett a streaming option for fantasy owners shuffling QBs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NE - RB Rex Burkhead to miss another game]( Source: Patriots.com New England Patriots RB [Rex Burkhead]( (ribs) has been ruled out of the team's Week 6 game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Burkhead hasn't played since the team's Week 2 game against the Saints. With him out of action again, it could lead to more touches for guys like Dion Lewis and James White. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [TEN - QB Marcus Mariota listed as questionable]() Source: TitansOnline.com Tennessee Titans QB [Marcus Mariota]( (hamstring) was limited during practice Saturday, Oct. 14, and is listed as questionable for Week 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mariota has been trending the right direction all week. Fantasy owners that are considering Mariota as a possible starter in Week 6 should see him as a QB2 if he plays on Monday night against the Colts. You likely have a better option than Mariota in his first game back since missing Week 5. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [PHI - RB LeGarrette Blount hard to bring down in 2017](=) Source: Pro Football Focus Philadelphia Eagles RB [LeGarrette Blount]( is averaging 4.9 yards after contact per carry through six games in 2017. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Blount is the team's battering ram, and he's doing a great job of picking up yards after contact. Their formula in the backfield is simple, use Blount to soften up opponents then use guys like Wendell Smallwood or Kenjon Barner as change-of-pace backs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [HOU - RB Lamar Miller wants big plays]() Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans RB [Lamar Miller]( said he feels he has room for improvement and needs to start breaking longer runs. 'I feel like, me personally, I got to break some more runs, long runs,' Miller said. 'I don't think I've got a 20-yard run yet.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Miller is correct. By our count, his longest run of the year has been 19 yards (Week 2 vs Bengals). As teams maneuver to stop QB Deshaun Watson and the passing game, it could open things up more for Miller and the ground attack. Miller has a tough matchup against a good Browns rush defense (Browns have allowed the second-fewest yards per rush - 2.88 - and the sixth-fewest per game - 76.6 so far in 2017) in Week 6, making him a low-end RB1 or RB2 for fantasy owners. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DET - Big game on tap for QB Matthew Stafford?](=) Source: The Detroit News - James Hawkins Detroit Lions QB [Matthew Stafford]( (ankle) faces the New Orleans Saints in Week 6, and in his last two meetings with the Saints, he has completed 52 of his 67 passes for 595 yards and five touchdowns. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Stafford is a bit banged up right now, but we could see him putting up QB1 numbers for fantasy owners in Week 6. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [DET - WR Golden Tate has torched the Saints](=) Source: The Detroit News - James Hawkins Detroit Lions WR [Golden Tate]( faces the New Orleans Saints in Week 6, and he has averaged eight catches for 115 yards and a touchdown in his last three meetings with the Saints. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's been two consecutive weeks that the Saints CBs have not allowed a touchdown to opposing WRs. That should change this week with Tate and Marvin Jones on the attack. Tate has a great matchup he can exploit against slot cornerback PJ Williams and/or safety Kenny Vaccaro. We like Tate as a WR2 in Week 6. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [IND - WR Donte Moncrief's future uncertain](=) Source: The Indianapolis Star - Zak Keefer Indianapolis Colts WR [Donte Moncrief]( said he'd like to remain with the team next season but isn't worried about his impending free agency. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moncrief has been disappointing as a fantasy player in 2017, but he should produce at a better rate when QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) returns. He's a WR5 against the Titans on Monday night. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [TB - WR Adam Humphries stepping up late](=) Source: Tampa Bay Times - Greg Auman Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Adam Humphries]( has nine catches for 125 yards in the fourth quarter of games this year, and he has eight catches for 82 yards in all other quarters combined. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Humphries has seen his role altered with the addition of WR DeSean Jackson. We consider him a 'what the heck' flex in Week 6 against the Cardinals. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [CAR - RB Jonathan Stewart needs more carries]() Source: The Associated Press - Steve Reed Carolina Panthers RB [Jonathan Stewart]( needs to be more involved in the offense, according to QB [Cam Newton](. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Stewart is averaging a career-low 3.3 yards per carry so far in 2017. More of that isn't a good thing for the offense. When Stewart isn't trying to do too much with the rock, he can be the team's best banger between the tackles. On Thursday night against the Eagles, Stewart had eight carries for -4 yards. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [SEA - J.D. McKissic praised by QB, coach](=) Source: Seahawks Wire - Andrew Carlin Seattle Seahawks RB [J.D. McKissic]( has shown 'nothing but good stuff,' according to head coach Pete Carroll, and QB [Russell Wilson]( praised McKissic's running ability. 'He is as fast as lightning,' Wilson said. 'He is physical, doesn't mind hitting you, can catch the ball, can do a lot of things, and is smart.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McKissic could continue as the team's change-of-pace back coming out of their Week 6 bye. Watch the health status of C.J. Prosise as he's McKissic's main competition for that role. We're still rostering McKissic in deep leagues even though he frustrated fantasy owners in Week 5 after his 2-TD performance in Week 4. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [DAL - RB Darren McFadden the lead back?]() Source: DallasCowboys.com - Bryan Broaddus Dallas Cowboys RB [Darren McFadden]( is the likely starter if RB [Ezekiel Elliott]( begins serving his suspension, according to Bryan Broaddus of DallasCowboys.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's the feeling around most Cowboys reporters is that McFadden has been 'saved up' for this possibility. Fantasy owners who can add McFadden should do so via the waiver wire and anticipate that he could post RB2 or at least flex-worthy numbers in the lead role for the Cowboys. We still see Morris getting work too. Bottom line, this looks like a murky RB situation to us.
