[GB - WR Davante Adams expected to play]( Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR [Davante Adams]( (concussion) is expected to play in Week 5 because he has cleared the concussion protocol, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Adams was absolutely rocked by Bears LB Danny Trevathan but he had 10 days to get through the concussion protocol. If he plays against the Cowboys on Sunday, consider Adams a deep flex option. His return would also negate most any fantasy potential for Geronimo Allison. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [SEA - RB C.J. Prosise ruled out]() Source: Seahawks.com Seattle Seahawks RB [C.J. Prosise]( (ankle) has been downgraded to out for the team's Week 5 game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Those who picked up J.D. McKissic as a waiver wire claim could plug him in as a 'what the heck' flex in Week 5. McKissic will play Prosise's role as a change-of-pace back behind Thomas Rawls and Eddie Lacy. With another good game (two touchdowns last week), McKissic could take over even if/when Prosise is healthy. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [TEN - WR Corey Davis on schedule](=) Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe Tennessee Titans WR [Corey Davis]( (hamstring) is on schedule in his recovery from his hamstring injury but is still considered week-to-week, according to head coach Mike Mularkey. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Davis will have missed three games so far this year as he's already been declared out for Week 5. The talented rookie is not a must hold for fantasy owners who are in need at the position...especially now that bye weeks have started. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [MIN - RB Jerick McKinnon on track to play](=) Source: Vikings.com Minnesota Vikings RB [Jerick McKinnon]( (ankle) was limited during practice Saturday, Oct. 7, but is not on the injury report for Week 5. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Vikings play on Monday night against the Bears, and they will be featuring a new-look backfield with rookie RB Dalvin Cook (knee) done for the year. McKinnon will continue to serve as a change-of-pace back but Latavius Murray now takes over as the primary back for the Vikings. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [MIN - QB Sam Bradford listed as questionable](=) Source: Vikings.com Minnesota Vikings QB [Sam Bradford]( (knee) fully participated in practice Saturday, Oct. 7, but is listed as questionable for Week 5. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bradford is on track to play on Monday night against the Bears. He's missed three games with this knee injury, but has a good matchup against a Bears pass defense that is getting torched in recent week. They have allowed six touchdowns to opposing receivers in their last three games. It could be a good night for Bradford and WRs Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. Fantasy owners can't forget how much Bradford loves throwing to TE Kyle Rudolph. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [PIT - WR Martavis Bryant questionable for Week 5]( Source: Steelers.com - Burt Lauten Pittsburgh Steelers WR [Martavis Bryant]( (illness) was added to the injury report Saturday, Oct. 7, and is listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's never a good sign to be added to the injury report late in the week..and especially on Saturday. Bryant could play against the Jaguars on Sunday, but make sure to double check his availability in the morning before the games start. We like Bryant as a WR3/flex option in Week 5. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [DET - DE Armonty Bryant not activated]( Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett Detroit Lions DE Armonty Bryant was not activated from the Reserve/Suspended list Saturday, Oct. 7. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bryant has been suspended three times by the NFL and his pro career is certainly on thin ice. The Lions are mum on his future with the team, but they have until Monday to make a decision. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [CHI - OLB Willie Young out for season]( Source: Chicago Tribune - Dan Wiederer Chicago Bears LB Willie Young (triceps) will miss the rest of the season because he needs to undergo surgery to repair a tear in his triceps, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bears are going to be quite shorthanded at the linebacker position on Monday night against the Vikings with Young out and Danny Trevathan suspended. Young is under contract through 2018 but don't be surprised to see him released in the offseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [LAC - RB Andre Williams added to roster]( Source: Chargers.com - Ricky Henne Los Angeles Chargers practice squad RB [Andre Williams]( was signed to the active roster Saturday, Oct. 7. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also waived FS Dexter McCoil. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With Brandon Oliver (hamstring) ruled out for the game against the Giants on Sunday, the Chargers needed another body at the position. Williams is a big back (230 pounds) but doesn't run with the power one would assume for such a large man. We should see Melvin Gordon bounce back this week against a Giants rush defense that allows over 142 rushing yards per game on average. Behind Gordon, rookie Austin Ekeler will get touches as a change-of-pace back. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [IND - More work expected for QB Andrew Luck]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells Indianapolis Colts QB [Andrew Luck]( (shoulder) is expected to receive more work during practice next week, according to head coach Chuck Pagano. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's the expected plan for the star quarterback as he continues to work his way back from this injury. There is still no timetable for Luck's return, but we could see him back on the field soon...perhaps Week 7 at the earliest. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [JAX - WR Dede Westbrook eyes Week 9 return](=) Source: The Florida Times-Union - Ryan O'Halloran Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (core) is eligible to practice Oct. 20 and can play in eight weeks, which would allow him to make his NFL debut against the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 5. Westbrook believes he will be ready to play by then. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Westbrook is a big play waiting to happen with his speed, quickness and 'alpha' attitude as a receiver. We're not thrilled about the Jags passing game, but Westbrook might make for an interesting sleeper in PPR leagues or leagues that reward you for big plays. Think of him as a 'what the heck' flex when he returns. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [NE - QB Tom Brady under siege]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Michael David Smith New England Patriots QB [Tom Brady]( has been sacked 16 times through five games, putting him on pace for 51 this season. By comparison, he was sacked 15 times in 12 contests last year. Additionally, the offensive line has allowed Brady to be hit 33 times - 6.6 per game - after giving up 73 hits over the entirety of the 2016 season, most of which came while [Jimmy Garoppolo]( and [Jacoby Brissett]( were filling in during Brady's four-game suspension. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Things just aren't the same for Brady this year in terms of protection. Defenses are also taking a page from the Chiefs and going with Cover 1 Robber to complicate the short/intermediate throws that Brady usually thrives on. So long as Brady is on the field, he's a QB1 for fantasy owners. With a game against the Bucs on Thursday night, Brady has plenty of time before the Week 6 game against the Jets. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [JAX - RB Leonard Fournette's role being worked out]() Source: NFL.com Jacksonville Jaguars RB [Leonard Fournette]('s touches are 'not an exact science,' according to head coach Doug Marrone, but he said they will continue to work on figuring it out. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fournette is playing about 39 snaps per game, but his touches vary depending on whether or not the Jaguars are in the game. If they can control the pace, Fournette gets a heavy workload as the centerpiece of the offense. He's a RB1 for fantasy owners every week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [KC - RB Kareem Hunt owns the second half]() Source: NFL.com Kansas City Chiefs RB [Kareem Hunt]('s 372 rushing yards in the second halves of games are more than any other back has total, and he is averaging 8.3 yards per carry in the second half. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The headline could just be changed to 'Kareem Hunt owns' - because the rookie RB is playing like he's the best in the league. The Chiefs are thriving in large part to what he does for the offense and how defenders have to show so much respect for the rushing attack. So long as Hunt is healthy, the Chiefs can be a serious contender not just for the AFC West but for the conference title. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [NYG - RB Wayne Gallman could lead backfield]() Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano New York Giants RB [Wayne Gallman]( could end up with a majority of the carries against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5, according to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's what we're expecting with Paul Perkins out. It's not like Perkins was doing anything with his starting role for the Giants, so Gallman has a chance to impress and perhaps even keep the top job. The rookie from Clemson is a swift runner with the ability to get to and through the hole quickly. Fantasy owners should consider him a RB3/flex option against the Chargers in Week 5.
