[CHI - Kyle Long expected back](#27) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [SEA - TE Jimmy Graham to be game-time decision]( Source: ESPN.com - Brady Henderson Seattle Seahawks TE [Jimmy Graham](=) (ankle) was able to practice Friday, Sept. 22, but will be a game-time decision for Week 3 versus the Tennessee Titans, according to head coach Pete Carroll. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Graham is likely to be active, but he might play limited snaps or be of limited effectiveness. Luke Willson would get extra snaps or targets at tight end, but Tyler Lockett is also a player that could benefit from Graham's injury. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [MIN - QB Sam Bradford seeks second opinion]() Source: ESPN Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings QB [Sam Bradford](=) (knee) is out for Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he is seeking a second opinion on his ailing knee. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A second opinion in this case will only open Bradford up to worse diagnoses than a bone bruise. His absence could be a lot longer than two weeks. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NE - Gronkowski officially listed as questionable](=) Source: Patriots.com Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE [Rob Gronkowski](=) (groin) was limited in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and officially is listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Houston Texans. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] All signs point to Gronkowski playing on Sunday vs. Houston but check back in the morning just in case. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [LAC - Questionable tag for RB Melvin Gordon]( Source: Chargers.com Los Angeles Chargers RB [Melvin Gordon](=) (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is listed as questionable for Week 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There's no outward sign that Gordon will miss the game against the Chiefs, but check back on Sunday just in case. Branden Oliver would be next in line for touches with rookie UDFA Austin Ekeler also mixing in. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CHI - RB Jordan Howard fully practices]( Source: ChicagoBears.com Chicago Bears RB [Jordan Howard](=) (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is a good sign for his shoulder, which is important for his bruising running style. He's still a very dicey RB2/Flex against the Steelers this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [TEN - RB Derrick Henry to be busy Week 3](=) Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe Tennessee Titans RB [Derrick Henry](=) is expected to get a 'significant workload' in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, regardless of whether [DeMarco Murray](=) plays or not, according to ESPN's Cameron Wolfe. Murray returned to practice as a limited participant Friday, Sept. 22, running routes and catching passes during individual drills. While Murray showed some instances of acceleration as a runner and receiver during the practice, it was far from what he would be expected to do in game action, according to Wolfe. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Henry is a go for our lineups regardless of Murray's status. Even with half of the workload, he should rate as a low-end RB2 as the Titans should prefer challenging the Seahawks run defense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [MIA - RB Jay Ajayi a question mark?]() Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley Miami Dolphins RB [Jay Ajayi](=) (knee) was back at practice Friday, Sept. 22, after sitting out the previous two days with a knee injury. Although he is expected to play in Week 3 against the New York Jets, Ajayi had a black sleeve on his right leg and 'seemed to have a slight hitch when running,' according to the Miami Herald's Adam Beasley. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ajayi is expected to play in Week 3, but this casts a shadow over how his knee will hold up over the course of the season under a heavy workload. Damien Williams and Kenyan Drake are his backups, but neither is true between the tackles back. If the Dolphins sign a bigger back in upcoming weeks, it could be a sign that they are unsure of Ajayi's durability this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NE - WR Danny Amendola ready for Week 3](=) Source: Boston Herald - Jeff Howe New England Patriots WR [Danny Amendola](=) (knee, concussion) proclaimed himself 'good to go' for Week 3 versus the Houston Texans. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He's still listed as Questionable so check back to make sure things are ok. Amendola has a high ceiling WR3/Flex outlook after a very productive partial game against the Chiefs in Week 1, although he always carries a high in-game injury risk. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [MIN - QB Sam Bradford ruled out Week 3]() Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson Minnesota Vikings QB [Sam Bradford](=) (knee) has been ruled out for Week 3 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Case Keenum will get the start which basically means to get all Vikings except maybe Dalvin Cook out of your lineup. The Buccaneers are just as tough a matchup as the Week 2 Steelers defense that mercilessly harassed Keenum, if not tougher, although the Vikings will be at home. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [WAS - TE Jordan Reed Game Time Decision]() Source: The Washington Post - Mike Jones Washington Redskins TE [Jordan Reed](=) (chest, toe, shoulder) participated in practice for the second straight day Friday, Sept. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Reed is going to be a game-time decision on Sunday night. Unless you have Vernon Davis, Jared Cook or Jermaine Gresham, you might not have the luxury of waiting around to see if he plays. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [TEN - RB DeMarco Murray practices Friday](=) Source: PaulKuharsky.com Tennessee Titans RB [DeMarco Murray](=) (hamstring) was able to practice Friday, Sept. 22, after not participating the previous two days. He will be listed as questionable on the Week 3 injury report, according to head coach Mike Mularkey. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Murray previously had a hamstring issue in the preseason, so the Titans would be smart to err on the side of caution here. Derrick Henry deserves at least flex consideration and would be a borderline RB1 if Murray is out. He should get a significant workload even if Murray is active. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [CIN - TE Tyler Eifert out of Friday practice](=) Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Paul Dehner Jr. Cincinnati Bengals TE [Tyler Eifert](=) (back, knee) is out of practice Friday, Sept. 22, and looks to be out for Week 3's game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] CJ Uzomah and Tyler Kroft will get more snaps in place of Eifert, but neither is going to fantasy relevant with the Bengals offense in its current dysfunctional state. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [CIN - TE Tyler Kroft set for bigger workload]( Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell Cincinnati Bengals TE [Tyler Kroft](=) is expected to see an increase in targets in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers with TE [Tyler Eifert](=) (back, knee) ruled out. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kroft was overshadowed by CJ Uzomah while both helped to replace Eifert last year, but Kroft might have still been affected by a preseason knee injury. The Bengals offense isn't exactly fertile fantasy soil, so Kroft is only worth a look in the deepest of leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [GB - WR Jordy Nelson fully practices, questionable](=) Source: Packers.com Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR [Jordy Nelson](=) (quadriceps) fully practiced Friday, Sept. 22, and is officially listed as questionable. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He's carrying the questionable designation so that's something to watch. But we feel Nelson will be a strong play against the Bengals. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [GB - WR Randall Cobb a game-time call]( Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky Green Bay Packers WR [Randall Cobb](=) (chest) will be a game-time decision in Week 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Geronimo Allison would get more snaps if Cobb is out and Martellus Bennett might get more targets in the middle of the field. This is an afternoon game, so make sure you have a late game/night game option to swap out for Cobb if you want to wait this out. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [BAL - RB Terrance West travels]() Source: NFL Network - Alex Flanagan Baltimore Ravens RB [Terrance West](=) (calf) traveled with the team to London for the Week 3 game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] West could slow down the possible coming-out party for Alex Collins, who showed a lot more burst than West last week in relief and earned praise from head coach John Harbaugh. Javorius Allen looks like the safest running back play for the Ravens this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. IND - RB Matt Jones joins active roster Source: NFL Indianapolis Colts practice squad RB [Matt Jones](=) was signed to the active roster Friday, Sept. 22. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones has lots of physical talent, but lost his starting job in Washington because of fumbles last year. He's up this week because Marlon Mack is out. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [ARI - JJ Nelson limited Friday]() Source: AZCardinals.com Arizona Cardinals WR JJ Nelson (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Nelson has been limited through two practices, so tomorrow we would like to see him get in a full practice to fully trust him on Monday night. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [NE - RB Rex Burkhead out for Week 3](=) Source: Patriots.com New England Patriots RB [Rex Burkhead](=) (ribs) did not practice Friday, Sept. 22, and he has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Houston Texans. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dion Lewis could get more work this week against the team he scored three touchdowns against in last year's playoffs. James White also becomes a better PPR play with this news. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [WAS - RB Rob Kelley questionable for Week 3]() Source: Redskins.com - Stephen Czarda Washington Redskins RB [Rob Kelley](=) (ribs) was limited in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is questionable for Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders. He remains in pain, and has been trying different things to alleviate the discomfort including sleeping with pillows on his back. He added that he might wear a protective vest if he plays. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] If Kelley is out, Samaje Perine will be a solid RB2 play, but will still yield to Chris Thompson on passing downs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [WAS - WR Josh Doctson on track to play]() Source: Redskins.com Washington Redskins WR [Josh Doctson](=) (hamstring) practiced in full Friday, Sept. 22, and was removed from the injury report for Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Doctson is still just trying to pass Ryan Grant to be #3 on the depth chart. Jordan Reed being banged up is good for Doctson's chances of having a big role in the red zone. His first round talent is worth stashing on deep league benches. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [NYG - TE Evan Engram off injury report](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan Updating a previous report, New York Giants TE [Evan Engram](=) (concussion) has cleared the concussion protocol and is no longer on the Week 3 injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Engram is safe to play as a solid TE1 who appears to be ready to defy the usual cap on rookie tight end production. Travis Kelce had a huge game against the Eagles defense last week, so the openings could be there in the middle of the pass defense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [PHI - WR Torrey Smith questionable for Week 3](=) Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com Philadelphia Eagles WR [Torrey Smith](=) (illness) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is listed as questionable for Week 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] If Smith can't go, impressive rookie Mack Hollins could get more work against a Giants secondary that might be without Janoris Jenkins. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 24. [NYJ - Week 3 status report for NYJ](=) Source: NewYorkJets.com New York Jets TE [Will Tye](=) (illness) and DE Muhammad Wilkerson (shoulder) are questionable for Week 3. Wilkerson and FS Rontez Miles (eye) were limited participants in practice Friday, Sept. 22. Miles is listed as doubtful. OG Brian Winters (abdomen), TE [Eric Tomlinson](=) (elbow) did not practice and are out, while TE Jordan Leggett (knee) also did not practice but is doubtful. DE Leonard Williams (wrist), TE [Neal Sterling](=) (knee), DL Steve McLendon (hamstring), OL Jonotthan Harrison (concussion), RB [Matt Forte](=) (knee), LB Bruce Carter (ankle), OG James Carpenter (shoulder), OT Kelvin Beachum (knee) and WR [Robby Anderson](=) (knee) all practiced in full and are not on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wilkerson is one of the best players left on the Jets defense. If he's less than full strength, the Dolphins offense's job gets even easier. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 25. [MIA - WR DeVante Parker listed as questionable](=) Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley Miami Dolphins WR [DeVante Parker](=) (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, but is listed as questionable for Week 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Parker has a great matchup against the Jets poor defense and should be in your lineup despite the questionable tag. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 26. [NYG - One Giant questionable, three out]() Source: The Bergen Record - Art Stapleton New York Giants CB Janoris Jenkins (ankle) is questionable for Week 3. LB B.J. Goodson (shin), OT Bobby Hart (ankle) and LB J.T. Thomas (groin) are out. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] If Jenkins is out or limited in effectiveness, Alshon Jeffery becomes an even better Week 3 play. Jenkins ankle injury worsened during the lead up to the Week 2 game he missed, but he said he got good news about the injury this week. The team said he would have been limited in practice if they had practiced today. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 27. [CHI - Kyle Long expected back](=) Source: Chicago Sun-Times - Patrick Finley Chicago Bears OG Kyle Long (ankle) is expected back in Week 3. Head coach John Fox said Long could be on a pitch count. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Long's return is good news, but the Bears have multiple injured starters on the line, and they are facing a Steelers defense that is tough on the run and relentless at blitzing the quarterback. It could be a long day for the Bears. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks.
