Laurentine here. I had one of the hardest days in my life the other week... If you are having trouble viewing this email, [click here.]( [Food Matters](   Hi {NAME}, Laurentine here. I had one of the hardest days in my life the other week... I was in Holland visiting my father who is battling with end stage Dementia. Every time I visit it gets harder and harder to say goodbye knowing I might not see him again…. and this time was no different. I’ve written about his journey and my thoughts on Dementia and Alzheimer's on the Food Matters site. [Click here to read the full story.]( The hardest thing is knowing that there is so much research on preventing this disease and there are even doctors reversing early stages of the illness. Unlike James’ father, who we were able to help early on with his disease and what later became the start of the Food Matters story, my father has not been the same. At the end of the day, make sure to fully love and care for your parents while you still can. And never give up trying to help them be healthier and happier! You can’t win every battle but you can always be there as a loving son or daughter. Sincerely, [Signature] James Colquhoun & Laurentine ten Bosch Filmmakers 'Food Matters' & 'Hungry For Change'  { other.time_stamp | date: "%b %d, %Y"}} [James & Laurentine]   [Dementia: A personal story by Laurentine ten Bosch]( [MY DAD'S PERSONAL STRUGGLE WITH DEMENTIA]( Laurentine shares her personal, heartfelt story on her father’s battle with dementia, which has encouraged the ambition to research preventative measures to avoid developing dementia and inform you how to help a loved one living with the disease by avoiding certain foods, medicines and elements that we may expose ourselves to daily.
