To reflect on marketplace performance, to reflect on growth and to reflect on how much this outstanding team is delivering for our growing community. It’s been another big few weeks. We’ve reconciled July and the marketplace traded 1,758 asset sales. And in August, we’re on track for 1,800 sales. This was outstanding to see. Congratulations to those that bought and sold. And from nearly 10 million searches, the Top 10 searches for the month were: - AdSense - Amazon - blog - affiliate - SaaS - fitness - music - SEO - Shopify - health Incredibly, Travel and Finance dropped out of the Top 20. Travel is as expected BUT I was very surprised by the drop in interest of sites and assets related to Finance. Confident it will bounce back strongly. In short, if you own an asset in any of the above areas - platform, category or business model - there’s a lot of buy-side competition right now. I thought I’d also give you some insight into our most recent and upcoming efforts. As we strive to connect quality sellers with the right buyer we’re working on: - Helping Quality Sellers Build Great Listings - Matching Verified Buyers to Relevant Listings - Educating the Wider Community on the Opportunities with Digital Real Estate Let’s take a look at what we have completed recently and where we are going next: - For the period July 1 - August 15th, we banned 2,424 members out of a total 957,000 active. We remain committed to a clean marketplace and will continue to build out our marketplace integrity function to ensure our members can safely buy and sell. - We have removed over 4,115 listings where sellers were unresponsive or the assets were wildly or terribly mispriced. - We added additional layers of buyer verification to ensure we know, and you know, who is on the marketplace and, more than that, who can complete certain actions. This includes user initiated actions like starting a discussion or commenting. And, we are further investing funds and resources in fraud detection and risk via our integration with [sift]( the global leaders in digital trust and safety. - We’ve also added [Flippa 101](. This is a how it works guide and goes into substantial detail about how to sell and how to get the most out of the Flippa platform. As a marketplace there’s a lot in your control and many use our extraordinary marketplace features and services to ensure success. - And finally, we’re all really excited about our revamped Messaging Centre.
