$2,500 Find of the week!

Happy Saturday {NAME}! Have you been out treasure hunting today at any yard sales, flea markets or thrift stores? We got in late last night and I didn't make it to the flea market today, but I did find something while we were away at our mastermind event this week! Make $500 For Christmas! But before I dive into that, I have to let you know there are just two days until we start our 5-day Flip It For Christmas Challenge! Monday we are kicking off the challenge and our goal is to help you make an extra $500 for Christmas this coming week! This is our 4th year running this challenge and it's one of my favorites because Christmas is my FAVORITE time of year! Find of the week So the find this week was 2,500 miles away from home. If you have been around here for a little while, you know that we love to do road trips, and when we do, we always bring our trailer in case we find a good deal! Well this trip we had to fly because it was a short trip but guess what. I still found a great deal on Facebook Marketplace! But it wasn't something I could just shove in my carry-on. It was a cooktop that I found for $150 and we picked it up in our friends car. ​ I already listed it on ebay for $2,499 and had 2 watchers within a day! (I sold this same model a month or so ago so I'm pretty sure it will sell fast.) But the big question was how did I handle getting it home?? I always say if there is a will there's a way, so I would have to figure something out! I ended up cleaning it and taking pictures of the item and packaging it up so it's all ready to ship! We are staying at a friends house and he offered to ship it out for me once it sells. In return I offered to list a few of his items he has been meaning to list on ebay to help him move them. (I helped him sell an ice machine last year for $6,000 that he had sitting in his garage collecting dust!) While I was searching for a good deal on Facebook Marketplace in Idaho, I recorded finding this item for you! I had a few things lined up on marketplace to sell (ebay is my preferred method of selling, but Facebook Marketplace is second!) Just sold this wheelchair this morning for $1,000 that I picked up from one of my friends for $100. We talk alot about creating relationships in this business all the time! It's not something I made a point to do until we went full time in this business 7 years ago. But creating relationships with people is HUGE! You never know what someone has to give away! Member spotlight We want to give a shout out to Flipper U Alum Dotty! Dotty picked up this unit for $136 at a thrift store, put in another $130 and sold it for $1,400! ​ It's so fun seeing her back at it in our members group! One of my favorite flips of hers was a cockpit she ended up getting for $0 (paid $400 to have it moved and stored) and sold it to someone who wanted to make a simulator out of it and she sold it for $2,000! ​ What a fun story! (I also love everything related to boats and airplanes!) Awesome job Dotty!
